My husband and I stayed 4 nights and we loved our stay. The setting at elevation with a view to the sea is beautiful and the climate is nearly perfect. Jihan and Andy were fantastic hosts, making us feel at home, including us in a family celebration and helping us organise boat tickets, car transport and trekking. The home cooked food was simple and delicious - mama's curry recipe was a favourite. The bungalow was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Wifi was available in the restaurant and pool area. Everything you could want from a family run guesthouse - it was really lovely.

Beautiful location and a fantastic garden. Peaceful and serene. Exceptional owner who welcome us with a beaming smile and she was thoroughly wonderful. Her cooking was excellent and she arranged all our excursions including a Rinjani climb all effortlessly. You should stay here!

I think the rooms/ huts are of different ages. Ours was quite basic but had a great view and faced a lotus pond! However I suggest you choose carefully. Some have outdoor downstairs bathrooms which can be challenging in the dark.

Going up there, first thought was: wonder where this is going. You are more or less in the middle of nowhere with small villages (exactly what we were looking for). And then you arrive, check in and...: boom! Paradise. Lovely people, wonderful food and an amazing garden and view. How the host treated us was exceptional, and did everything to make out stay even better. We were traveling with our (almost) 2 year old son. We were there a few days, and the hosts had some friends over one night. We were invited to share local food (fried snapper, pork) and drinks which was amazing. The next day, we were again invited to share their local breakfast. This is why you travel right?? The place is a bit harder to find, but I really do encourage you: go here, you will not regret it at all!

Well, we were at the last cottage. The cottage was clean, spacious and the view again amazing... but the wifi reception was not very good. But you are not there for the wifi. So,, If you really do need it, go to the main part and enjoy the wifi but enjoy the even more amazing view, food and people while you are at it! Wifi reception is best at home!

What an amazing place! The garden is breathtaking with beautiful flowers, a pond and natural swimming pool. Spacious, clean bungalows with big balcony. Our children (7 and 10) loved swimming and relaxing here. The food was delicious. But most of all we felt so welcomed by the family in a happy, relaxed atmosphere with great service. Jihan and her husband run the place with love and dedication. We did a wonderful tour of the rice fields and the two nearby waterfalls with local guide Saas. He knows so much about all the plants and local life and helped our kids through the rivers and on steep parts. Some challenging climbing on some parts of the trip - but our kids loved it.

Beautiful place! The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to help us - they prepared an early breakfast for us, and we were able to leave our stuff in our room when we went on an overnight hiking trip to Mt Rinjani, and they booked a car to get us back to the harbour. They also have scooter rental and can arrange tours. Worth noting that the location is not actually in Senaru but the village adjacent to it (around 20 minutes by drive), not much around the hotel however it's a lovely area!

We came for two nights during our recent family holiday/tour of Indonesia. Rinjani Mountain Gardens was a great stop, nice quirky accommodation, welcoming staff, amazing views. There are some great walks through the local rice terraces, much better than anything we saw in Bali. All the locals were really friendly. On our second day, the staff organised a walk to local waterfalls for us... again amazing and the guide was very chatty and knowledgeable about the local area Food in the kitchens was great. My children aged 8 and 10 really enjoyed the fish/turtles/animals which live at Rinjani Mountain Gardens... we wish we could have stayed an extra few days, but our schedule wouldn't allow it. Stay here.. you will like it.

We slept in the traditional cabins - this was an experience on its own! Contrary to what we would have thought, it was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was just AMAZING. Probably the best we've had in Indonesia. You get assorted fresh fruits, pancakes, scrambled eggs, toasts with butter and coffee, and it all tested beautiful. The common areas (i.e. garden and surroundings) seem to be taken from a movie - it was very enjoyable just to walk around the premises.

Restaurant prices were quite high. It is true that food quality was good, but you don't have any other options to eat around the place, so it bothered us a bit. They only accept payment by cash.

The location with views that it offers and arrangement of ambience (especially when it comes to the garden) is exquisite. A hidden mountain gem for those looking for a peaceful place to rest for a while. The best thing is when you wake up and open the door, to be greeted by greenery. Breakfast is truly tasty (we got a selection of fruit, scrambled egg and omelette, banana pancakes, toasts with butter, tea, coffee or water). Bungalows are arranged well and very clean, there is also hot water in the shower. The staff is very friendly and helpful - as the example, I left my purse in the restaurant and they caught the taxi with a motorbike to give it back to me. It is such a pity, that we only stayed for one night... :)

The breakfast was very nice. Fresh bread with mulberry jam, pan cake and omelette all baked or cook by Jihan, the lady host. Delicious! There's a nice view of Rinjani Mountain to go with the good food. My husband and I also enjoyed the walk to the paddy field nearby. We met some friendly local people along the path. Jihan arranged a good driver, Waya to take us to Tiu Kelep waterfall and then the transfers to the hotel in Senggigi. The price is reasonable. Not to forget, I appreciate that the host responded to may emails promptly prior my trip.

Located up in the hills meant a short respite from the heat at sea level. The owners are lovely and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. Had a couple of jungle trecking tours to see the waterfalls and local wildlife both of which were arranged for us at short notice and could not have been better. The guide was great (thanks Sas).
