The Bed and Breakfast was absolutely lovely. The room was spacious and very clean. A massive plus was the staff, who were super friendly and went out of their way to accomodate us, which we were incredibly greatful for! It was also very easy to communicate with the staff online when we needed to add an extra night, as well as via text and of course in person. The location is also excellent, just a short walk from the coty centre. We had a wonderful stay and will absolutely book this place again for our next trip to Clonakilty!

Absolutely nothing. There is not a single thing I can think of to improve.

It was perfect. Beautiful scenery, rooms were spacious, parking at the rear(I was concerned about parking on the street so this was a huge bonus), they have a garden for guests to enjoy. The staff were lovely and courteous. We were attending a wedding so unfortunately we missed breakfast the next morning but it smelled delicious. It felt like a second home. We’ve had a lot of staycations and this is by far one of the best ones yet.

Nothing really, maybe just an option to have our breakfast kept in the fridge for later, even then that’s not really a big deal

The property was really cute and cosy. They had a lovely outdoor area out the back and the front had a lovely seating area. They were very accommodating when our flight was delayed and we arrived late. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was amazing, with lots of options to select from. One morning I chose the Full Irish and the other had tasty crepes.

Breakfast at the Melrose was delicious. There was a wide variety of hot foods made to order along with the usual cold breakfast. It was offered according to your schedule and in a very friendly manner. The room and breakfast were very good, but Noel and his family and staff were exceptional. They were so helpful and friendly in answering queries about sites, directions, even genealogy. They truly can't do enough to make your stay perfect.

Wonderful breakfast, very nice staff, there was bottled spring water in each room and more in the hallway. There was also a guest fridge in the hallway. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and the beds were clean and comfortable.

A lot of cold water had to be run in the shower before the hot water kicked in.

The breakfast was beautifley cooked and a nice choice as well, Mary was a really friendly person and we always had a laugh with her. Nothing was too much trouble for her., Would stay again if we ever went back to again

I had a wonderful stay at Melrose BnB. The owner Noel was an absolutely gentleman, and the rest of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. It was so cosy and it genuinely felt like coming home every evening after work. It was so close to the town centre I could walk into it in the evening for food. Would recommend this BnB to anyone. Excellent value for money, the breakfast was amazing and the location was perfect. There is a great car park out the back, so there is no worries about your car if you're driving. If I ever go back to Clonakilty I'll definitely be staying here.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. It wasn't very fancy or anything, but made up for it in homeliness and great facilities. I wasn't mad about the dance music they were playing in the morning at breakfast, but that's such a little nit pick because everything else was wonderful.

Breakfast options were fantastic. Really nice to have fish options as well as the traditional full Irish. The room was very clea n and beds were very comfortable. There was a good shower and everything was very clean. The walk in to town was a bit longer than we expected, but a Dunnes a few minutes away was a bonus.

Perfect location for a wedding we were attending in a nearby hotel. Rooms were clean & had everything we needed. Breakfast was great. Staff were helpful and friendly but also left us to ourselves which was ideal. Good value for money compared to other B&Bs in area.

Would prefer to be nearer town centre to walk into but plenty of parking & free so wasnt a problem
