Phil our host is exceptional she is a lovely genuine lady who runs a 5star guest house& from the moment she greets you until you leave she cannot do enough for you. Her guesthouse is without question a fabulous well run establishment with cleanliness top notch & her breakfast is just superb she definitely has a wonderful eye for detail & she is what all guesthouses should strive to be . She is just a pure treasure. Well done Phil & thank you for a wonderful stay.

If you leave Dublin, heading south, Buncrory is a great place to start immersion in Irish cultural life, far away from Temple Bar and the Blarney Stone. The house itself is substantial on a bend in the road. The quality of the interior decorations, particularly the chandeliers, belies its rich heritage. The room was sumptuous and really comfortable. Phil is a genial and welcoming host.
Totally all our error but we failed to give a precise time of arrival so had the opportunity to explore the town instead. The breakfast was ok.

It was a great location actually being in the village! We could walk to store & restaurants & pubs. A delicious breakfast with some options, free Wi-Fi & a lovely roomy car park. The gardens in back are lovely & a lovely sitting area in the home as well. Phil is a kind & caring host. She’ll give you some suggestions on what to see & experience around the area. She told me of a brilliant 24 hr laundromat just down the road!

The full Irish breakfast was amazing. We let Phil know eachnight when we would be coming in for breakfast the next day. Multiple selection for beverages included: coffee, tea, juice, water. The piping hot breakfast was more than enough to send us out each day for hiking. Phil is an amazing hostess. Gave us infor on what to do and where to go. The outside gardens were so welcoming at the end of the day to relax and talk about our day. The location is centrally located in the heart of Bunclody with shops, restaurants, pubs in easy walking distance. The room was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The price is fabulous. I would definitely return to this property
We did have some issues with the WIFI and the front door key, but nothing to take away from our rating

What an excellent choice. Lovely quaint B&B which I would highly recommend. Room was comfortable and very quiet which surprised me as it was near a service station which closes early . Phil was very accommodating and provided the best service we have had for a while. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Lovely garden at the rear. She was able to provide recommendations for local restaurants. People in the local area were very friendly.

Breakfast was excellent & Phil was so lovely & welcoming. The house was very clean & within very close walking distance to a few shops, eateries & pub. We only spent one night as it was a stopover during a very long drive we were undertaking.
Meadowside is situated right on the corner of a very busy road although it does have a drive on the side of the house & parking behind. We had a lovely big bedroom but it was situated in the front of the house directly by the road, there is a small frontage to the house but we could still hear the traffic until quite late into the night which was slightly disappointing.

Lovely staff; incredibly forthcoming and kind. Delicious breakfast (in our case: full Irish and porridge); fruits accessible 24/7. The room was impeccably clean, beds were made daily and shampoo/shower gel were available in reusable and refillable bottles in the shower. Coffee/tea and kettle available in the room. Phil is always ready to recommend places worth visiting - make use of her local knowledge!

Phil was an amazing host who made us feel very welcome from the first minute we walked in the door. Our room was very large for two people and was updated. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have an extra chair and desk in the room as well. Phil was able to give me information about laundry options. I decided to go to the launderette right in town. They charged me 20 euro for one load but when I dropped it off at about 5:30 pm they had it for me the next morning and even left a couple items out to dry that I didn't want to go through the dryer. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. We stayed here to visit friends in the area but really enjoyed the Huntington Castle. We toured the grounds and were lucky to also be able to work the tour (inside the castle) into our day as well.

Excellent breakfast , cooked perfectly to order. Appearance and location of the property was perfect for our needs. House was well decorated to suit the style of the property and was kept in immaculate condition by the owner who always greeted you with a smile and was interested in your days activities and promoted the local facilities and amenities.

Great location in Bunclody, beautiful house, warm welcome. Phil arranged a taxi to collect me in Clonegal at the end of the Wicklow Way. Room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities. Very good breakfast the next day.
A discount for single occupancy of the double room would have been welcome. Otherwise couldn't find fault with this lovely guesthouse.
