We loved this little hotel! The owners were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, providing us with tons of good tips on the best restaurants and beaches to visit. They also let us borrow beach towels and an umbrella for the beach. The view from our balcony was gorgeous, and we found the bed to be quite comfortable. Breakfast down the street at the nearby cafe was great and consisted of a croissant (with choice of various flavors / fillings / toppings) and a coffee (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.). You could also order other things like eggs for a small additional fee. Lastly, the location is perfect -- just a quick two minute walk down to the water, about ten minutes walking from the old historic city center, and maybe 15 minutes walking to the harbor. We highly recommend this hotel!

It is a nice little apartment in a good location, about 10-15 minutes walking from most of the restaurants and shops. The hosts, Dario and Margherita, were very nice and helpful. They provided drinking water which was much appreciated. Every day, they straightened up the room, gave us new bath towels, took out the trash, and gave us extra toilet paper. They let us borrow straw mats for La Pelosa beach, which you must have because they don't take away the sand from the beach (or you can get a fine). It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. We were able to find free street parking in late June by searching around briefly. There was also pay parking in Piazza di Mercede close by if needed. There is a small elevator for bringing your luggage up to the 4th floor.

Property has elevator, so you don’t have to worry about carrying the luggage to 4th floor; It is very close to the beach and city center, like 300 m distance on foot; The hoster / owner of property is a very friendly sir, talkative, giving suggestions about the city, recommendations… we had a great time chatting with him. Wish we had more time to have a wine in their terrace to talk more about life, history and the city itself. The dogs are also cute! :) They greet you with sweeties typical from the city!

We didn’t know we had to pre schedule the arrival time.. the instructions weren’t very clear about it, but fortunately they were at home to meet us.

We loved the authentic italian ( sardinian) appartment with the retro lift and 1920s style. We also loved the host Dono and Margherita making us very welcome and ensuring we knew everything we needed to know. The breakfast was served in a local Italian cafe and we felt like a local! Great proximity to the old town and for getting out and about in our hire car.

We liked everything. The only unexpected was that it was not a hotel roof garden but instead individual balconies. But that did not matter when we saw and felt the comfort and cleanliness of the room.

The host was really nice and gave a warm welcome while arriving. He also gave some tips for the stay in alghero. The view from the balcony over the city was really great. There was a lift to use to get up to the 4th floor. You could have breakfast in the nearby café, where the locals also linger for espresso and cornetto.

The water in the shower could have been a little hotter. Which is certainly not a problem in summer. It would be quite pleasant in autumn/winter.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Alghero and our stay at the Alghero Roof Garden. The owners, Margarita and Dario, were great hosts. They were very helpful in providing information on the best places to visit in the area during our stay. The location is just a short walk from the old city. Would highly recommend this accommodation to others and if returning to Alghero we would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was an experience beyond compare, mainly due to the incredible hospitality of Margherita and Dario. From the moment we stepped in, their warm smiles and welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. The rooms were not only clean, but they also offered an ideal location for our getaway. However, what truly stole the spotlight was the genuine companionship of Margherita and Dario. Engaging in heartfelt conversations with them during breakfasts felt like we were catching up with old friends. Their sincerity and warmth were truly heartening, making us feel like we had gained new friends during our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. It wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with laughter, genuine connections, and the warmth of friendship. We are already eagerly anticipating our next visit to this haven of hospitality. Margherita and Dario (And Daisy!) have not only created a beautiful retreat but have also given us memories to treasure for a lifetime :)

Finding an available parking spot was challenging but this was because the location is very close to the center.

A very comfortable, quiet room, with spacious bathroom & delicious breakfast, with different cakes each day, served on a beautiful terrace with many flowers. The hosts were very hospitable and it was like being welcomed into their home. We were also given good advice, for instance about which beaches to visit. Sunshades were available to borrow, which were very necessary in August, as was the air conditioning. It’s an excellent location, near to the sea & old town. Thank you for an excellent stay!

In August, Alghero was busy, of course, so finding a place to park could take a while, but we were always able to find free parking.

The location is good - close to the centre. Parking probably can sometimes be a problem… but was not while we were there. The room is ok though it could be a bit bigger (it is a separate room in the apartment where the hosts live). Very nice and big bathroom. The best is actually the roof garden where the breakfast is served - full of flowers. Real pleasure to start a day. The breakfast was good. The hosts (notably Dario) are very nice, he told us a lot about Alghero and what to do.

The room is not big due to also a large wardrobe on one of the walls. WiFi almost did not work (our room was A bit away from the other rooms). Cheese and salami were lacking for breakfast.

we had a very spacious room with the balcony,super comfortable bed and amazing pillows.. great location.. minutes from old town and the beautiful seaside promenade on the ramparts.. our hosts were friendly and very helpful, we got great recommendations - places to visit and beaches 👍🏼👍🏼.. easy going atmosphere with tasty Italian breakfast.. yoghurts, freshly baked pastries, excellent coffee..we enjoyed the patio for the morning breakfast.. Dario and Malgosia are lovely couple, always there in the morning to help ..we would stay here again when visiting Alghero..
