The view was amazing, right on the lake, slept to the gentle wave landing on the shore just below our balcony. Good breakfast, lunch, dinner menu selection. Friendly staff throughout the facility.

We arrived by train, the walk from the station to the Hotel is about 10+ minutes, but the pavement is made up of small cobble stone or undulated concrete, it's rough on the carry-on luggage wheels. Taxis are not standing by at the train station, since Bellano is a small town, but you can call your hotel to fetch one for you. We took taxi on the way back from the Hotel to the station, paid 12 euros, saved our carry-on luggage wheels.

We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and given a tour of the premises. Our room was small but had every comfort we could wish for: a clean bathroom, free toiletries, good airco, a comfortable bed, a mini fridge with complimentary water and a balcony with incredible views over the private beach and the lake. The receptionist was also kind to give us recommendations on where to go in the area and checking in on us during our stay. We will definitely return!

If we were to point out an improvement area is that the parking for hotel guests should be complimentary.

This hotel was surprisingly very comfortable and clean! We got the king bed with the view and would highly recommend, the room is very spacious and bathroom clean with new appliances, has a mini fridge, safe, and the bed is comfortable. The view was beautiful of the lake and classic of what you expect for Lake Como terrace view. It is a 12 minute walk from the train station (careful with luggage though I would request a taxi, cobblestones and luggage is not fun), 7 minute walk from the ferry station. All was better than it seemed in pictures to our surprise, we booked a little late for peak summer season and was not expecting much but I will happily recommend this hotel. Bellano is a quieter town and less shoulder to shoulder tourists than the classic Bellagio/Menaggio/Varenna; and the train to Varenna took only 4 minutes, Bellano station goes to Milano Centrale (via Malpensa) for easy travel as well. The older man who makes the coffee for breakfast was outstanding; very friendly, went out of his way to call us a taxi in the pouring unexpected rain at 07:30 when we couldn't find staff and was so kind in every interaction.

The guest wifi was completely unusable for every day/night of our stay in our room, our friend's room across the property, and even in the lobby area. It was so slow and continually disconnecting we could not even manage to do the small task of checking into our flight the night before we left. Lobby hours were unclear, we went out to talk to the front desk at 17:30 before dinner, 21:00 and following morning at 07:30 but no one was present (besides friendly man who makes coffee) and we had no working wifi to email them/did not want to use international calling for help on arranging a taxi before checking out as we thought it would be an easy task to achieve by just talking to the front desk during open hours. These are easily fixable however and not a reason to not stay here.

Very courteous staff and very helpful. Comfortable room, #9, had a small balcony with a view. Wonderful breakfast and great dinner selections. Room to eat in had windows on 3 sides so lovely views. Very clean, quiet. Dock for boat is a 7 minute walk. There is a place to park your car for a fee. They arranged for a taxi to take us to train station in the morning when we left. Beautiful place.

Take a taxi or call for car to pick you up from train station, pavement very hard to pull luggage on and takes about 20 minutes. Also, no sidewalk to get to entrance of hotel, you have to walk down a very steep driveway.

Hotel is in quiet town and an ideal base for day trips to Verrano, Bellagio and other areas of Lake Como. You have a choice of traveling by train or ferry as both stations are within walking distance from the hotel. Our room was clean and had a stunning lake view from our private balcony. The on-site restaurant serves good food with a pretty view. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially Samuel at the front desk. We had some difficulty getting to the hotel and he provided excellent communication all throughout.

Our room was very hot and the AC wasn’t working. Staff addressed the issue right away. Also the hotel didn’t seem to have a proper entrance. You have to on a steep cobblestoned driveway to enter and exit the property. It wasn’t a big deal to us but may be challenging for those with limited mobility.

loved the private balcony on the lake. enjoyed the Jacuzzi overlooking the lake after a day of walking all around Bellagio, Varenna, Menssagio. Very nice "americanesque" breakfast with a wonderful barista. A much quieter town than Varenna and just one ferry stop north.

walkway to the lobby was down a gravel driveway. We walked to the hotel from the train station with our luggage so the lack of a street level entrance or stairs down to the parking lot was a surprise, but minor detail.

Lake Como is heaven on earth and Hotel Meridiana lets you enjoy it to the fullest. Rooms are right on the lake water, they have their own private beach. Rooms have a balcony, ours was right on the lake. The free breakfast was soo good it was something we looked forward to everyday. Great spread! Staff is very helpful and accommodating! Would would stay again and 100% recommend!

We enjoyed everything. No complaints. Nothing to do with the quality or service of the hotel, but just as a heads up - Bellano- the city Hotel Meridiana is located in, is not the largest city nor does it offer as many tourist experiences / activities as some of the other cities on the Lake do.

This place was INCREDIBLE!!! Definitely top two places we stayed during our 8 city and two week trip! HOTEL REVIEW: The hotel was SOOOO clean, pretty, quiet and the view is incredible. It was the first place during our trip that we wish we could’ve spent more time just enjoying the views and how nice the hotel was. AMENITIES: Breakfast was excellent and all of the food options were fresh and tasty and eating in the glass room was so awesome. Our room was also very cool. We were concerned about not having a lake view, but the garden view room was very good and spacious too. STAFF: everyone’s English was excellent and everyone was very hard working, kind, and this kind gentlemen even drove us to Varenna instead of ordering us a taxi for free!!! Can’t speak highly enough about the staff! BELLANO REVIEW: I highly recommend staying here and NOT IN BELLAGIO! Bellano was so cute, quaint, more affordable, and had great access to get to Bellagio or any of the other cities very easily! Overall…I would give this place a 12 out of 10 if I could and my wife and I will definitely be staying here again

This property was absolutely gorgeous! Very clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful (particularly Stefano and an English gentleman - sorry I can't remember your name) The private beach is just beautiful and so relaxing. The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms a bit old fashioned but you don't really notice it because the facilities are so lovely. The view from our balcony was just stunning. I would definitely stay here again, very peaceful and a fabulous restaurant overlooking the lake - amazing!

Nothing we didn’t like - but went to go in the Hot Tub in the evening, it was only 28° and filter needed changing.
