The breakfast was good. We went there for a wedding function so the castle hotel offered good facility and a very vintage venue for the joyous occasion. The very classic deco with rich historical background gave a very vintage and museum vibe which we enjoyed very much, took lots of pictures .

The Juliet suite room , while grand and richly decorated, should remove the skull displayed in the room and the deco in the entrance staircase area, as not all guests who come from different parts of world with different cultures and beliefs may appreciate it. It actually gave the 4 of us staying in the room a creepy feel. Suggest to replace the deco with something more soothing. The toilet plumbing in the unit also need some attention - when showering with certain option of the shower head type - water leaks from somewhere near the toilet to wet the floor that may spill outside into the bathtub platform area outside the bathroom door .

This is a fascinating place to stay. There are numerous public spaces packed full of the owners’ collections of antiques and artefacts. It’s really interesting, especially in this historic castle setting. Our room was entirely in keeping, very handsomely furnished in period style but also very comfortable with every modern convenience. The bathroom was equally stylish with classy toiletries provided.

Nothing to criticise. There were few other guests on the night we stayed, so with such big empty spaces in the castle it felt a little unatmospheric. The castle appears to be set up mainly as an event venue.

It was a gorgeous castle with a very friendly staff. We were treated like royalty! The food was delicious and the breakfast was fantastic. I loved getting to walk around the castle and learning about the history. It was also just a short walk to the train station. The staff was hands down the most accommodating that I have ever experienced.

It was just a little noisy because of the wedding going on downstairs, but I completely understood that they have no control over that. It's just something to be aware of if you are visiting on a weekend with small children! All in all, it was our favorite place to stay on our trip.

Excellent in so many way -- especially the staff who were most helpful and friendly at all times. The hotel itself, with all of its furnishing and art, is absolutely and wonderfully fascinating.

Beautiful property, exceptional staff, delicious breakfast, and unique experience of a stay! The room was comfortable with all the modern things you’d expect but also felt like staying in a museum. It was a super cool experience!

Breakfast was incredibly varied and was high quality. The furnishings in our room were atmospheric and beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. All staff we encountered spoke English well and were very helpful. Wandering around the castle and exploring at night was magical and we had an incredible wine tasting in the cellar, our host for the wine tasting was awesome.

It's a beautiful castle which is a great setting for weddings. The rooms are decorated with interesting pieces.

The only small nit is the bread at breakfast could have been fresher.

Pure historic lodging experience. A true castle. Amazing collection of furniture and antiqueties. Quite area, great sleep. A museum actually.

Breakfast has some kitchy details, but easily removed, such as dessous de plat of plastic.

The place is huge, clean and unique experience (good) staying in a ‘castle’.

Not easily access by public transport (bus or train).
