The host, young Giovanni, Is exceptional. He does everything in his power to help you have a wonderful stay. The setting also is extraordinary.. a tiny medieval village on a hill ! We were comfortable, slept wonderfully, walked for miles between the towns in the area, made use of the quite adequate kitchen facilities, and enjoyed Nonna Pasqualina's cake. Giovanni brought us more than enough food for our breakfasts. He also checked in with us at least daily to see if there was anything we needed.
note: I advise anyone booking to make sure you're getting what you need, especially in terms of the number of beds. The listing is confusing. We stayed in both the rooms available on booking. The mountain view room has one queen bed and a little fold up bed that would be useful for a child. There is no sofa bed there. The terrace room has a queen bed and two twin beds, plus a sofa bed. Neither place had a washing machine, but Giovanni was happy to offer us ways to get our laundry done. All in all we are super happy with our stay in Ciorlano ! grazie mille, Giovanni <3

The evening before I was due to arrive I had a message to say there had been a problem and I couldn't stay there for a couple of nights: Giovanni met me and took me to a B&B which was perfectly adequate. This shows his genuine concern for his guests. Da Nonna was then sorted and he showed me in. Breathtaking mediaeval top of hill village with spectacular scenery. Moto parked just outside the walls and a short walk to the apartment, which was, perhaps a little compact, simply great. Wonderful views, comfy bed. Well stocked for breakfasts with plenty of teas and coffee. I would have been happy to stay for much longer. Even when I woke up at night, the church bell chimed away to tell me the time! Then on the morning I left, Giovanni gave me a huge cake to take with me, and told me the suppers he had provided at the first B&B were a gift: beat that for true hospitality! Thank you for everything.
I suppose I must find something - um - um - a pair of scissors would have been useful, but I realise they are not normally found in Italian apartments!!

What a beautiful little apartment in a quintessential Italian village perched up thought on a hill. Looked up as we were driving there and thought, wow we’re staying there! The village is a close knit community that used to be a castle. No cars allowed but free parking outside and a very short walk to the apartment. We arrived on an extremely hot afternoon and Giovanni was held up but he left the keys in the apartment front door ( yes a very safe area) and had thoughtfully turned on the air con and the fridge! Basic things that a lot of places do not do! There was water and juice in the fridge, tea and a coffee machine with ample yummy biscuits, cakes and other breakfast foods already there. We chose the apartment with terrace which had a queen sized bed and two singles in the room ((if travelling with family). The terrace was outside the door. Ok was a little small, really I’d call it an entrance terrace but was perfect for us. Kitchen was well equipped and if we needed anything Giovanni was a text away. He dropped in to give us extra breakfast with fresh eggs, sausages, more juice and bread, salami, cheese and fresh cake! Ample. The village closeness meant interaction with the neighbours was often which we found lively (and the local dog/cats) We learnt the ring of the church bells and so never needed to look at watches but slept soundly. We explored the local area over two days but also took time to chill and experience this lovely Italian village and its inhabitants! Definitely would stay here again.

Wow! Came there on the way from Rome to Bari. Eventually one of the best and most positive surprises in our lives. The village is calm, beautiful, small, esthetic, on top of the mountains. The peace, the calmness just magical. Giovanni, the host was so incredibly friendly. The cake baked by granny was amazing. He even bought us beer in a local bar as we did not have cash. I could not not not recommend this more. Fantastic experience for me, my wife, and my kids. Kind of paradise place..

Giovanni was an outstanding host. Friendly, welcoming, hospitable and responsible. He was dependable when he said he would bring breakfast and went out of his way to bring some additional food. He responded quickly to “ what’s AP “ messages. The B&B was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The views of the mountains were breathtaking.
The sloping cobblestone terrain would be difficult to walk if you have age related problems walking.

We had to find a place at 10:00 at night and were fortunate enough to get this quaint Bed and Breakfast. Giovanni helped us to get settled in that late night. The apartment was clean and comfortable. In the morning we woke up to a majestic mountain view. The village was so charming. And the local grandmother baked us a decadent chocolate pie! Thank you Giovanni! We would love to stay here again! :)

Giovanni has been an exceptional host attending promptly to all our needs or questions. The house is pretty cool in hot days, which is great. Very nice, peaceful location at the top of the hill. Well equipped with all you need for a stay with the kids. Excellent price/quality ratio.

We had such a lovely time here- though wish it could have been a longer stay. The apartment was beautiful- great views and very comfortable. Giovanni was a very attentive host. The Antipasto and homemade goodies were brilliant. We loved getting recommendations and information about the area too- all in all- a wonderful stop on our Italian adventure! Highly recommended!!

This village/community atop a hillside was literally out of this world. The stone apartments were so quaint and cozy. The kitchenette was very convenient. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and fields we felt like we were in heaven. So beautiful. You can't beat the price! The host, Giovanni, was so accommodating and hospitable.

Lovely apartment in attractive hill village with beautiful views from every window. Host, Giovanni, couldn't haven't done more to make us welcome and there was ample breakfast and food supplies - with lovely cake and biscuits supplied by his grandmother. Ideal place for a quiet break, with lots of options for day trips and local attractions.
