Although we stayed at Hotel Lo Campagnar only for one night, that's all we needed to realize how great the place is. The hotel staff is wonderful and open to helping with any questions you might have. The location is perfect – you can go for a romantic stroll through the narrow streets of the charming village of Dolonne, and the center of Courmayeur is a 10-minute walk away. The room wasn't huge but more than enough for two people. Everything was spotless, and we had a fantastic view of the mountains from our balcony. But the highlight of the stay was the breakfast. You can order warm meals straight from the kitchen or choose from a bunch of delicious foods from the buffet. The cake was so good I had to get two slices.

For the price we paid, everything was perfect. If I'm ever in Courmayeur again, I'm definitely staying at Hotel Lo Campagnar.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, including being welcoming towards (well-behaved) guest dogs. The breakfast included many different options, all of good quality. The pre-dinner aperitivo snack and drink sessions were very enjoyable. The walk to/from the Dolonne ski lift was short enough to be no real burden, even when wearing ski boots and carrying skis, poles etc.

While the reception area was very nice, it was slightly short on comfortable seating for the overall number of guests. The covered garage was being used to store outside furniture during the winter, making it a bit of an obstacle course when parking and loading the cars. The ski room wasn't cleaned as eagerly as the rest of the hotel.

Fabulous location - only ski-in-ski-out hotel on the mountain, the staff were very helpful (with good tips on short cuts, ski hire and local dining etc), the food was excellent and the dinner was very reasonably priced. We will certainly stay here again should we return to beautiful Courmayeur.

Bit of a walk to main street with shops, restaurants and bar. But not too far.

Absolutely exceptional value for money. The staff were really superb (very helpful and thoughtful), check in and check out were extremely easy. The ski-in ski-out location was a game changer. In particular, the 6pm Aperitivo drinks and snacks were a lovely addition, and while simple, the in-hotel dinner is definitely worth a try (at least to avoid the walk into the town!). Finally, the place was kept spotless (and we have a pretty high threshold for cleanliness!)

The bed was definitely old, and unfortunately a little uncomfortable for us. Not an issue - but we had to specify when we booked that we wanted a room with a shower (rather than a bath + showerhead). The location is great for the Dolonne ski lift, but it is a good 10 minute walk into the town - we enjoyed the refreshing stroll after a dinner but worth bearing in mind!

We loved staying at hotel Lo Campagnar!!! We were doing the TMB and decided to have a break in between in Courmayer and this was the best thing we’ve done! Staff were amazing, very kind and helpful when we had questions. We had breakfast included and they had a nice selection with good quality products. On our second day we couldn’t catch the breakfast as we were leaving very early for the hike, so they gave us a tray with some food for the morning and that was very kind. Room was exceptionally clean, and let’s not talk about the stunning view we had from it. They have a lovely front garden again with a beautiful view and you can have some coffee or tea there too. All in all, we couldn’t wish for something better and we wish we stayed longer, but we are already considering coming back!

We had the most wonderful experience at this little hotel. Home from home comforts were everwhere. Its family owned and run. Their staff are excellently trained and attentive to your every need. A fabulous view from every room, dining room and lounge. Even when the weather was bad and we spent a whole day at the hotel , the fire was going, wine , food and drinks were available plus good Wifi.
