Fantastic apartment and location. Close to centre street a few minutes walk. Linda and Andrea were very helpful. They gave us recommendations for places to eat in the area and they were super. They helped us with our luggage to the room and back to the car when we left.

Wonderful views, extremely accommodating host, modern apartment

We had no idea that going anywhere required negotiating 150-200 steep steps. We're in our 70s and would have stayed elsewhere if we had known

We loved our stay! We had a very spacious room, with a kitchenette and sitting area, and a large balcony with a view of the sea. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent as well; just a short walk to the main shopping and restaurant area of Taormina. Our host, Andrea, was fabulous! He was so helpful, making a dinner reservation for us upon arriving at a beautiful and delicious restaurant. He also told us how to get around, and even carried our bags up the stairs for us. He arranged a taxi for us upon our departure and carried our bags for us again! It's definitely a 10 star place! I would definitely stay here again if I am so fortunate to visit this stunningly beautiful town again.

Everything was perfect

Perfect location, just a few stairs down and it’s the Main Street. Very quiet and the bed is comfortable. Provides all the toiletries so no need to bring shower gels or shampoo. Staffs are very friendly and help with all sorts of issues during the holidays. We also received a lovely gift from the owner and the staff when we left as a gesture of goodwill and the unfortunate weather during our stay in Taormina. The building is surrounded by greens, I love the big lemon tree right in front of the door. Very satisfied and clean stay during the trip.

Everything about Casa Giafari was PERFECT. Linda and Andrea went above and beyond to ensure our stay over my birthday was nothing short of magical. We were welcomed in person by Andrea who happily helped us up to the apartment with our luggage. We were greeted in the apartment with flowers and Prosecco! The location was stellar...private and quiet yet only a 2 minute walk to the bustling main street. Linda and Andrea were always available to offer suggestions on where to eat and what to see. They even booked the best table for my birthday dinner at an incredible restaurant. The apartment itself was spacious, beautiful, squeaky clean, and very well appointed. The view from the massive terrace was heart stopping. I am not exaggerating when I say we did not ever want to leave. Without a doubt, our stay with Casa Giafari was the BEST experience we have ever had. We will return to Taormina and will only stay here. Thank you Andrea and Linda for making our trip so special.

The homestay is excellent in all aspects!! The boss is very kind. He confirms the check-in time in advance and waits for us to help us with our luggage. He is very enthusiastic in introducing the surrounding scenic spots and recommending restaurants. He also actively replies to messages during the process, making us feel very at ease staying here. The room is the best one during our entire trip. There is a small yard. It is very clean and the shower is also very good. I really can't think of anything that needs improvement. If there are friends around who come to Taormina, I will definitely recommend this one. If we come here again next time, we will definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous, roomy apartment high up the hill, with a fantastic view. New and absolutely lovely. Quiet. Very helpful and friendly host who carried out bags up and down the many stairs from the street to the building.

You have to climb a LOT of stairs to get up there, but it's worth it. The listing said "parking", but as is common in Sicily, they mean the parking is somewhere else, and you have to pay for it. They suggested a valet service, which is 30 Euros a day, and we did that.

So happy with our entire stay! We had three rooms and they upgraded one of them to allow better access for our family which we greatly appreciated. They also noticed an upcoming birthday and provided us with Prosecco to celebrate which was wonderful. Could not have been a better location either. There are a few steps but it is Taormina which should be expected. Still, they offered assistance with baggage at arrival and departure. All rooms were spotlessly clean and beds extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Nothing! Wonderful stay.

Casa Giafari is a perfect place to stay when in Taormina. Location: in the centre, just enough steps away from the big crowd. Great view from the balcony, but keep in mind that the sea is far away (still amazing!) The bed: matras, duvet and sheets: amazing. We travelled around Sicily (with this being our last stop) and by far this was the best sleep experience. The bathroom: big enough, has everything. Coffee machine (Nespresso), tea cooker, little fridge: it's all in the room. The room is spacious, we both have a big suitcase, one trolley and a huge beach bag, backpacks... it all fitted easy without having to jump on it. Wardrobe, spacious and enough hangers (around ten if I remember correct), with a safe inside, two big drawers. The interior is modern, but warm. Its luxurious without becoming obnoxious. The place doesn't have it's own parking space, but the host will provide info where you can park and gives the option of valet parking (basically it comes down to a guy parking the car somewhere else and you can let him know when you need the car and he will bring it). We choose the valet parking (5 euro more a day) and it was so worth it... We like to drive around, go see villages nearby etc... If you intend to stay in Taormina: don't drive there, it's all walkable, or else get a cab, it's not an easy town to drive in. Taormina is not flat, a lot of climbing stone steps.. and the place is slightly higher located than the Main Street. This means a few minutes (literally 2-5 depending on your fitness level) extra climbing a day, to get to the place. It's really not an issue, but people that are not fit should know this (to be honest, I wonder if they will enjoy Taormina to the fullest, since it's a lot of stairs, a lot of hight differences etc). Andrea is a great host. Easy to reach by phone, daily around in the morning. Always very service minded! - gay couple from Amsterdam, end 40's, no children.

For us this was a great place!

Everything. Linda was a most gracious hostess and punctual and took care of all details. She communicates so well with her guests to ensure everything is perfectly attended to. My husband rarely uses the word “perfect” in describing lodging experiences on our many European travels-Our experience at Casa Giafari was probably the best we’ve ever had. There are many steps in all of Taormina- but this location was perfect to the Main Street Corso Umberto! Linda and her staff are 5star!
