What a wonderful hotel! We arrived a little early and the host was so, so gracious and lovely—offering us coffee and water while we waited for our room to be prepared. And, oh what a room it was! So spacious, two whole daybeds, two full baths, ample closet space, and a lofted true full bed (not two twins pushed together). Pillows were fluffy and sheets were soft, and the entire space was bright, well-decorated, and CLEAN. I really loved this hotel. In the morning, breakfast was gorgeous—a great spread of pastries and juices and eggs and cold cuts, as well as coffee and fresh fruit. The location also can't be beat. It's just on the quieter side of the Arno, so you're not bombarded by crowds every time you step outside, but literally steps to the Boboli and the Pitti, and 10m from Uffizi, 15m from the Mercato, the Duomo, etc. etc. Plus! There are great restaurants on this side of the Arno, quieter and less crazy-making then the more touristy restaurants on the opposite side of Firenze. Wi-Fi was fast as well; we streamed a few YouTube videos without issue. Overall, love love loved this property and if I ever come back to Firenze, I'll be staying here!

Nothing!

We spent 7 days of our delayed honeymoon here and it was the best part of our whole vacation. Roberta and her team are the most forthcoming people you can imagine, they go above and beyond what is considered good SERVICE and even offer 24h mobile support if you have questions or run into unforeseen circumstances (which we happily did not need to use, because I believe in free time also for people in service ;D, but it was offered!). There are extra towels, toiletries and ironing supplies available 24/7 and if you want the rooms are cleaned daily. Also a select assortment of SNACKS, fruits and drinks were available in the breakfast room at all times - there was even a complimentary bottle of wine in our room, upon arrival (which my husband had to drink alone poor him, because I am pregnant, but he did not seem to mind haha)! The rooms have a water cooker, tea, instant coffee as well as a refrigerator and the air conditioning kept the rooms cool and nice. The DECOR is the most elegant mix of classis, baroque and modern pieces of art and statuary and th overal feel is like living in a high-price condo or an artists place - truly amazing style! Whatever you want - the BREAKFAST buffet has it and more! It was the perfect combination of European continental buffet with varying cheeses, meats, fresh fruits, yogurts and bread/toast (even gluten-free!) options as well as freshly boiled eggs & a classic Italien mix of daily fresh pastries, croissants and tartes. Coffee specialties were freshly made and the warm smile and super respectful service of Dong, who was in charge of breakfast, was just delightful and made every start into the day relaxing and comfortable. The LOCATION just behind Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti is perfect - it is just away from the crowds and near enough to walk into the city.

There is literally nothing we missed or needed - we were very happy!

The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful, and all spoke English. Elio, Giacomo, and Roberta were delightful. The inn/casa was so cool with a combination of old and new furniture, artifacts and architecture, that made us feel as though we were still in the museums and historic sites we had visited in Florence that day. The help-yourself breakfast had something for everyone in a delightful living room/dining room. A gentleman that made you feel special, served you your coffee. Most importantly, it was nice and cool and comfortable in our room, bed, "comfy" chairs, nice towels, fun bathtub in living area similar to the ones in the Pitti Palace, and a proper shower with power. This was our "Oasis" for our vacation at the end of the hot Italian Summer. Florence was hot hot hot, but in our "Casa" we were so happy. We could walk to all sites knowing we could return to our Oasis to cool off. Casa Botticelli is a gem, as is Florence.

All positive! I really can not think of a thing. If I had a question or problem it was taken care of immediately, even off-hours. We were close enough to the bridge and especially close to Pitti Palace and the staff helped us navigate and get taxis as needed. (My taxi app didn't work.)

The hotel’s location couldn’t be better – in the heart of Oltrarno, just a stone’s throw away from Piazza Santo Spirito. Many restaurants and (antique) shops nearby. Housed in a magnificent 15th-century building, the hotel exudes elegance. Accessible via a gated entrance with a secure code. Upon entering, guests are greeted by the warm hospitality of the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Our deluxe room ( I requested a room after seen the pictures on booking.com) was a sanctuary of comfort and style, with a tasteful decor, a plush bed and a rain shower. Every detail had been considered. Breakfast with freshly baked pastries and artisanal treat from a local bakery. Inviting common areas adorned with antiques and art. Beautiful collection of art books. What truly sets the hotel apart is its personalized service and attention to detail. From explaining the history of the building to thoughtful gestures like adding a sofa to our room or a complementary bottle of Chianti classico. The sweet, polite and caring staff ensures that as a guest you feel valued and cared for. In essence, this hotel is more than just a place to stay – it’s a sanctuary of luxury and comfort that feels like a home away from home.

Being from the states and traveling over seas you never know what the level of accommodations will be- but Casa Botticelli was exquisite. It was super clean, great water pressure with the shower, comfortable beds, not too hard, but not too soft… just right! The breakfast came with cappuccinos!! Also, we traveled in August and the air conditioner in the room was great!! It’s right next to the Pitti Palace and also 5 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio. Also, there is a quant elevator which is helpful when you have luggage! It was super artsy and also had a great gelato place near by, and also a great roof top bar around the corner with beautiful views! I would stay there again in a heart beat!! The people at the desk always was willing to call taxis and they even was willing to mail some post cards for me on the day I was leaving so I didn’t have to walk two blocks!

Honestly, everything was great!

Fantastic location, slightly away from the crowds (at least as much as you can be!). Room was on a courtyard, so very quiet and peaceful away from the busy street. A/C worked great! Spacious and comfortable room, beautiful breakfast room/common spaces. Staff was very helpful with late check-in and booking a taxi to airport. Tall ceilings made the room feel even bigger. Comfortable bed and nice towels, big shower. Daily housekeeping was great!

Room had lots of steps and uneven floors that come with an old building, but we almost took a spill many times! Do not recommend for older folks. Breakfast was ok- lots of shelf stable items, we decided to skip after the first day. Refrigerator in our room never worked and was not fixed or replaced. Constant sounds of running water or pipes that we could not find the source of.

Sometimes, you just find an exquisite place to stay, and Casa Botticelli was one of those. The hotel was conveniently located a few minutes' walk from the Pitti Palace and Ponte Vecchio. The hotel was immaculately clean, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with stunning art, sculptures, and antiques. A delicious fresh buffet breakfast was served in the'centre piece' dining/lounge room. Here you could relax at any time of the day, it had a very welcoming feeling. Here, you can immerse yourself in the fascinating atmosphere of Florentine life. Special thanks to Roberta. She made me feel so very welcome, and I appreciated her helpful suggestions for restaurants, vintage shopping, and walks around Florence. #janetstravelstyle

Casa Botticelli is my recommendation for anyone, who looks for romantic, artistic, and safe place in Firenze. The staff was exeptional, you really made us feel like home - even a bit like royalty! The room was big, clean and beautiful. The lounge area, free for all guest to spend time in, brought your mind to old times: the art, decoration, attention to detail, classical music playing in the background. Breakfast was great. Have to give a separate mention to the brioscia with pistacchio: it was the most delicious piece of pastry I have ever had. Casa Botticelli's location is amazing. We could walk nearly anywhere, and the best restaurants and boutiques were on the same side of the river where the place is located. When we needed to go a bit further, they called us a taxi and it was always on time and the drivers were really nice. Thank you, we will definetely try to come again!

There were really no downsides.

Location was in a less touristy area, on the other side of the river part of Florence. Around 20 mins walk from Duomo and major attractions. This is something to consider if you are visiting during hot weather. The building was old but well maintained, and had a lift (which most buildings in Italy don't). Casa Botticelli exceeded our expectations in terms of decoration, cleanliness, size of the room etc. Breakfast was served in a beautiful, large dining area. The aircondition stayed on for the whole time which was great.

There was a distinct sewage smell coming from the corridor in the floor our room was (2nd floor). We could not tell where this came from but it was unfortunate (not that the owners are responsible but they should fix it).

There are so many things to like about this property. It felt like we were staying in a palace with beautiful artwork. Our room was unique with a loft area and fabulous bathroom, all very clean. Our daughter had a twin bed and her own bathroom below. It was very spacious. The breakfast was wonderful each morning which was situated in a comfortable dining/livingroom area. We also loved the location of this property. It was on the quieter side of the river yet so close to the tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants. Lastly, the staff were friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again!
