Highly recommend. The location was amazing and an amazing host. He made our stay in florence very special and even more magical. The host assisted us with bookings and went the extra mile with getting it sorted and ensuring we had a great time. The room was well sized and suited us perfectly. Having a bath was a welcome item after days seeing florence and surroundings. Plus we got the added benefit of getting Miss Lola welcoming us in the morning. As well as being a great venue, it was in a great location being right near duormo, we were in walking distance to everywhere and allowed us some early morning strolls to key locations while avoiding the crowds.

We loved everything about this property. The property itself is gorgeous. Our room was spacious with beautiful ornate ceilings and a fully renovated bath with lots of natural light and bath and shower. The property was quiet at night and had an elevator for luggage and a common terrace area for those who want to sit outside for an aperitivo. Andrea, the owner, was so helpful and friendly. He gave us good advice about what to see and do in and around the city. He goes above and beyond in providing quality breakfast including fresh pastries and great coffee. The location could not be better with the Duomo literally around the corner. A 10 minute walk from the train station. This was our favourite property during our time in Italy. Thank you, Andrea, for a memorable experience.

The host was a hoot and cracked us up! Very fun...and he has a beautiful little dog named Lola who is extremely loveable. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. Large bathroom and shower. Location is a couple blocks walk to The Duomo. Breakfast was very nice with fruits and pastries and coffee choices. The host was nice enough to also schedule a taxi to take us to the airport for our very early flight. Highly recommend this B&B

Just to warn you, the host has a sarcastic humor that we enjoyed. If you are sensitive, you may be offended.

Great location combined with a fabulous room makes this a winner! Our room had a very comfortable huge (Super King) bed, fabulous shower, all the outlets anyone could want, and was super clean. The breakfasts were delicious and bountiful, with homemade pastries being very special. The owner has renovated his property to have modern conveniences and furnishings before opening. The owner was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. He gave very helpful suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. He recommended a great neighborhood restaurant in Florence and also in Venice, the next place we were visiting. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Florence.

Everything was great about La Casa del Ghiberti, the location was only 200m from the Duomo, but felt like it was secluded and completely away from crowds. The hotel was small but perfect, great rooms, lovely atmosphere. The host, Andrea, was amazing. Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and couldn't have been more helpful and honest. Oh, and Lola was great too ;)

As a B&B they're unable to offer any cooked breakfast, which isn't the host's fault!! But what was there was great, right down to the homemade cakes!

The hotel and rooms were the cleanest we've ever seen at a B&B especially one that is located in Florence's city center only a minute walk from the Duomo! The rooms also feel very new and modern as the owner had gone through a complete remodeling of the interior recently. The building front door, apartment door, and room door can all be opened with a modern key card, unlike other B&B's in Florence we've seen requiring a separate physical key for each door. The owner is amazingly friendly, welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating. He also has a super cute and friendly dog that you're welcome to meet and play with. The breakfast was full of delicious home-made cakes.

Excellent location near the Duomo, Uffizzi, Piazza de la Signoria, Accademia, and San Marco Museum. Andrea is very genial, thoughtful, and helpful. His special assistant, Lola, could not be more beautiful and charming. We loved this property when we stayed there 15 years ago (when owned by Claudio and Christelle), and are very glad we stayed there on our return. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped..

The coffee is very good and ample. The cakes prepared by Andrea's aunt are delicious. However, although it would be inaccurate to say we didn't like the breakfast provided, the juices and proteins provided could be improved.

The Casa was located on a quiet street, away from traffic. Even so, it was close to the famous Duomo and shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. An easy walk to the train station, if necessary. The rooms were charming and very comfortable. We loved the shuttered window with a window box with flowers in bloom. Andrea was very responsive and made our stay very comfortable. He was funny and made us laugh every time we saw him. He gave us suggestions and had opinions on everything; where to eat, what to see, etc. Our table was ready every morning for us to select from the breakfast buffet which consisted of pastries, assorted breads, meats, cheese, fruit and of course teas and cappuccinos, and we loved speaking with him. There was also a small patio to enjoy a bottle of wine you may have found during your day if you were so inclined. "Mama" made some of the delicious pastries that were offered for breakfast. Every morning, we had a very filling breakfast, and we were ready to go out and experience Florence. Our stay here was perfect; nothing could have improved it. We'd rate it higher, if possible!

We loved our stay. The B&B is on the second floor of an original Florentine building. A pair of huge doors outside and then a second iron gate secures entrance to building. We were greeted at the outside door by our host - he is very friendly and helpful. He welcomed us inside and assisted us on the elevator to the second floor. The elevator is a little small but easily accommodated two adults, two large pieces of luggage and two backpacks - we were happy to have an elevator and especially in such an old building!! Once inside the B&B, our host quickly checked us in and showed us around - the charming breakfast area, outside seating area and then to our room. He showed us how to use the access card for entrance to the building, the B&B, and our room. We booked the nicest room - big with a high hand painted ceiling - beautiful. Very comfortable foam mattress and a true king sized bed. Beautiful bed linens. Large sound proof window in the bedroom to ensure quiet and peaceful sleeping. The mini fridge, the Nespresso coffee maker and hot water kettle were all appreciated. The bathroom was great - large double sink, toilet, bidet, large tub and a large shower with a big frosted window with plentiful storage shelves and nice towels. The entire room was spotless and very comfortable. I think the bathroom was recently updated as all the fixtures looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Wonderful automatic coffee machine to make all types of coffees. Nice pastries, toast, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit, etc. Enjoyed having breakfast and then off to explore Florence.

We had no problems. I’m sure if there was an issue, our host would have tried to solve it. He’s worked very hard on this property to make it very nice. He has great pride in it. He truly wants you to have a wonderful experience at his property and in Florence.

The location was very easy to find and central to the city. We were able to walk everywhere and could be independent at all times. The days were very hot so the air-con was fab! We loved having a bath and being to chill on the super comfy beds. Andrea was very accommodating, kind, knowledgeable and, his dinner recommendation was awesome! We loved that he also lives in the apartment and nothing was a problem. We will certainly be back :-)
