The hotel was very clean and well-situated for day trips to Taormina and Etna, as well as Naxos and the beach. The room was always clean with fresh towels whenever needed and the breakfast wears excellent.

The private beach is not included, despite what is implied in the description. There is a reduced rate, but it is still 15 euros/day. The balcony was nice to sit out on but the “garden” is non-existent and very close to the railway; it would be good if they did more with the outside space.

When you travel to Sicily you look forward to amazing architecture, history, culture, cuisine, beaches, nature, fashion, dolce vita. But at the end of the day, when you return to your accomodation tired , yet happy, it is important that you are being welcomed. We stayed in superior double room, which was nicely decorated with lot of love. Spacious double-room with big and comfy bed, lovely details, big terrace to enjoy your coffee or a glass of wine. San Giovanni hosts are amazing people, who take good care of their guests, a big THANK YOU to lovely ladies who took care that our room is always super clean and smell like strawberries , to amazing lady who served breakfast and made sure everything is fresh and tasty, to super helpful and communicative gentleman in the night reception who helped us with advices and made us feel safe and welcomed. Beach is just couple meters away, great restaurants in the vicinity, direct connection with Taormina and Catania Airport just steps away. We had a wonderful time and vacation in this hotel and we highly recommend it to all. Thank you making our stay amazing!

Internet signal was sometimes a bit weaker, but hosts are trying their best to improve it.

The location is exceptional. The breakfast is great, although mainly sweet options which is probably an Italian tradition. Room was very clean, cleaning service came everyday and changed the towels. We could leave our luggage there after checkout, they even offered us a room where we can refresh ourselves before our flight home. Staff is super nice. We got a room with balcony to the garden, the balcony looks much better than in the photos, it was much bigger. We really did not regret, that we did not get the sea view room, this one was much quiter.

Very nice friendly staff who spoke some English. Massimo the night porter was very good. Good breakfast. Central location 1 minute walk from the beach and restaurants.

It's on a busy street so can be noisy outside due to traffic.

Clean and well presented Hotel and room located near beach, shops and restaurants. All the Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay again.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast offer was good, but could have offered toast, sliced meats or cheese options.

The location of the Hotel is perfect, directly on the beach, at the beginning of the restaurant and bar promenade. Breakfast is also excelent, I'm sensitive to gluten, which was not a problem at all, I was able to choose what I wanted. The owner, and staff are the nicest of my travels so far!!, almost like a family, - and luckily I've been to a few places. We loved it, and will definitely be back in the future. I was working remotely but had problems with WiFi, terrible in the morning but much better in the afternoon. The hotel is opposite the beach which is fine but the road outside can be noisy.

O atendimento e a simpatia dos funcionários e o café da manhã foram os pontos que mais agradaram. O Quarto estava sempre limpo e arrumado quando regressava no final do dia. Super recomendado.

Very helpful staff, breakfast was excellent, room was very clean & comfortable bed with daily towel change, plenty of restaurants just a short walk away, good value for money.
