I recently stayed four nights at the Star Hotels Business Palace with my husband and my husband's brother and his wife. First off, the location is absolutely primo. It is outside the city center, but a two minute walk to the metro and a straight shot to the Duomo. This was incredibly convenient and made the whole trip a breeze. The rooms were spacious, clean, and utterly silent. There were two conferences at the hotel while I was there and breakfast was busy, but once you shut the door to your room, the place was silent. I slept great. No slamming doors. No chatter. No elevator noise. It was lovely They also have two pillows per person on the bed. No surprise there. But, in a moment of genius, one pillow is flat and the other soft and fluffy. I love soft and fluffy. My husband likes flat. We were both happy. And this is intentional, as there is a pillow menu on the bedside stand. The breakfast is also a standout. Two types of eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, bread, pastries, sweets, juice, a machine to make coffee however you like it. We all looked forward to the breakfast. It was a great way to start the day and kept us fueled until lunch.

The only annoyance was the lack of towels and soap. There was only one bath towel the first two days and there was no soap in the sink soap dispenser. I had soap, so I just kept moving it between the shower and the sink, so it was not a big deal. But the situation was never corrected even after asking multiple times, so that was strange.

Saturday night there was a night clug or similar on the same side as our family room. The party lasted till 6am and the noiselevel was high

We arrived well after midnight - tired and travel weary - and was received in a rather unfriendly manner by the night staff. The day staff was very helpful though. The kitchen is contracted out so it is a mission to get ice from reception (no room service). All we wanted was some milk for a cup of the coffee they provided in the room. Very disappointing and dishonest. Won't go back because of that. I forgot a small item in the room and within 3 hours after checking out they denied it was found.

Convenient location if traveling by car and you don't want to squeeze into the city centre. Paid underground parking, however it is possible to park for free on the street right in front of the hotel (as we did). Near a metro station. Several restaurants around.

Bathrooms could be a bit refreshed. A bit pricey for the location, also taking in consideration that we didn't have breakfast included (but it was our choice and we booked last minute). Big and heavy keychain to carry around :)

Friendly and helpful staff. The location of the hotel is ideal, very close to the metro line. The windows in the room cannot be opened, but the air conditioner works well. The room was quiet, without any noise. For motorized tourists, it is very useful to know that the hotel has a large underground garage.

There was only one minor inconvenience: by mistake, the receptionist charged one tourist tax more than necessary. Although he noticed this immediately and promptly arranged for a refund of the overpaid money, that amount (15 euros) unfortunately never reached my account. I'm not sure if this was the hotel's or the bank's fault, but considering all the circumstances I decided to mention it in the property description. However, it should be noted that it is unlikely that this will happen to another guest, as it was clearly not intentional.

The hotel is a few min walk from the train station and a 10 min train away from the Center . We loved the breakfast and the facilities.

Everything was perfect except check out. I was charged the whole amount during check in only to find out it was not allocated and had to pay another £730 to check out. Still waiting for my bank to contact the hotel so the release the funds. Such could have been avoided if the check in Lady had done her job property and same goes to the check out lady if she just checked the system and not dismissed me when I was showing her the transaction went off my account.

We had a pleasant stay in the hotel. The vicinity to the subway-station 'Porto di Mare' is very close so with a short walk you can go with a direct connection to the 'Duomo' in around 15 minutes. We would recommend this hotel.

First I want to say that we where very happy with this hotel and we would absolutely book it again but there are a few notes; we stayed in the weekend. Groups of people going to party can make a lot of noise on the street but this could be a one time event of course. Further does our sink drained poorly. We made a note so we assume this will be fixed in the future. The friendly staff was more than happy to fix it.

Nice room for 3 people and nice and effective hotel staff. We had an issue with water flow from shower and basin but they reacted very quickly and effectively and solve the problem in a few minutes Maintenace staff vey proffessional polite and effective as well.

Probably the water flow issue that we suffered should have been detected and addressed before we suffered it. That is what is called preventive maintenance, as the reported issue was tap filter clogging, and that does not happen overnight. We have no more points to report.

The rooms was very spacious and clean, the bed were comfy and the location was excellent as the hotel was very close to the metro. Breakfast was decent with a lot of options, however I think the options are the same each morning so may get a little repetitive if staying for a few days.

The shower could have been better as you had to climb into the bath which was sometimes quite slippery. The hotel as a whole could do with some modernisation but that is mainly looks wise as everything worked fine.

the hotel asked me to pay the “tourist tax”…. nothin was written in the reservation invoice. this cost was hidden and they asked me to pay it at the check in. also this is not the “normal” fee that is clearly included in the costs!
