This seemed an unusual hotel, many bedrooms but few people staying, so the service was quite personal. The mountain and valley view from our bedroom was exceptional and the terrace also looked lovely (but we didn’t use it). The evening meal at the hotel also highly recommended. The village centre is up the hill and has a couple of shops, bars and a restaurant. It feels very typically southern Italian and it’s a joy to stroll around if you don’t mind the occasional stare! We walked up to the tower at night but the views would have been amazing during the daytime.

The swimming pool is very small (like many hotel swimming pools) but the water was hot so very relaxing and lovely to have a dip in. Also the breakfast is strictly Italian (no croissants while we were there and no cereal) but a good selection of cakes. Overall we really liked this unique hotel and enjoyed our stay here.

The building was really beautiful, with a pool and relaxation room. The view from the room and outside seating area was spectacular. Parking on site, double parked and moved when requested, absolutely no problem. The staff were really helpful and well worth the visit when in this part of Italy, hopefully we will return.

Nothing, loved everything. The entrance to the accommodation is off the last bend into the village and well signposted, we missed it and went into the village where there is a beautiful church.

The breakfast was small but sufficient. There was a variety of pastries, meat and cheese. The cappuccino and espresso made to order and brought to the table was excellent!

The property exceeded our expectation but the location was relatively remote. The staff however were helpful and informative about the area.

The property is very historic and located on a hillside with spectacular views of the valley. We had a very comfortable room which was very clean and a lovely bathroom with powerful shower. The lady on reception was really helpful and supportive as we had a problem with our car. The tasting menu was delicious and incredibly tasty. All in all a terrific stopover.

Never stayed in castle before, it was amazing, and that view from our terrace (superior room) was one of the best I have ever seen. Ladies working in restaurant and bar were super helpful. Definetely suggest staying there. On site parking was good. They did accept our medium size dog.

Staff was very helpful, kind, and willing to offer local hiking suggestions. The room and overall Castel restoration were great. My room actually had a preserved bird's nest behind glass to make sure no birds were left homeless in the course of the renovation. High-quality materials throughout. An elevator! Vintage Cinquecento at the entrance.
