We stayed five nights here and it has an amazing location in amongst ancient olive groves. The place has real character, including a ‘cave’ basement used historically for olive pressing (olive oil tour included!). The apartment was great for a family of four, amazing views from the first floor over the olives. Fantastic pool and very good food for both dinner and breakfast. Great staging point for visiting the area.

Not much. Kitchen in the apartment was sort-of fully equipped to cook for kids some nights, but lacked some basics like a chopping board and some good sharp knives. A few inexpensive extras in the kitchen would go a long way. Removing a few ‘cool’ light bulbs with warmer ones would be worth doing.

we had a great stay at Masseria Valente. The location of the Masseria close to Ostuni and close to the seat is perfect. The setting in the ancient olive trees, the old farmhouse in combination with a beautiful garden and swimming pool was wonderful. We enjoyed a really nice dinner and had great breakfasts with lots of local products. We got some good restaurant and beach recommendations and could borrow beachtowels and an umbrella. On the last day we enjoyed a short tour to the old olive oil mill in the cellar and an oil tasting, a great souvenir to take back home

The location is beautiful - an 18th century farmhouse, built over an ancient underground olive mill, within 25 hectares of olive trees. Some of these trees are 1000 years old and have national.monument status. The area around the farmhouse is peaceful and attractively landscaped with many quiet and shady nooks for reading. The infinity swimming pool, shaped like two vast interlocking cicles, is simply glorious. The accommodation outside of the house itself is simple and clean and the beds are very comfortable with firm mattresses. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a (free) tour of the underground olive mill and a tasting of the various oils produced by the farm given by one of the staff who was very knowledgeable and informative. We had dinner at the Masseria each night and the food was excellent with a good choice of delicious local wines. The breakfasts were buffet style with an extensive selection of breads, cheeses, cured meats, fruit, cakes, juices and cooked eggs on request. We stayed only for 2 days but felt like we'd had 2 restorative weeks. A truly lovely place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Masseria. The grounds are stunning and well-maintained, providing a beautiful and serene environment. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The ladies serving breakfast were very friendly and attentive. The location is conveniently close to Ostuni. The pool was simply amazing, with flexible hours, and there are many lovely spots around the property to relax and enjoy a walk.

While the Masseria has many positive aspects, there are some significant drawbacks that need to be considered. The sound insulation is very poor; we could hear everything in the mornings, especially the early risings of young children. A major downside is the limited toiletries provided in the room: only two small bottles of 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel. There were no body lotions or conditioners. One evening when we returned from the beach, we found half a bottle left and only one new bottle provided. This is particularly inconvenient if you have long hair. Another issue was the dinner service, which was a disaster. During our five days in Puglia, it was by far the worst dining experience. If possible, we recommend going to Ostuni for dinner instead.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. A great and peaceful place to stay amongst the thousands of olive trees that they look after. Due to an early flight we had to leave before breakfast officially started, however the staff were very accommodating and provided an extensive cold buffet whilst they were setting up. Highly recommend this Masseria as a lovely place to stay near Ostuni

Very helpful staff throughout, especially at Reception and in the Restaurant. Good spread at breakfast, though we found the menu a bit limited for dinner after a couple of visits. Pool area was well maintained, though the water was a little chilly, even after weeks/months of hot weather. Loved being able to wander off into the olive groves and just commune with nature!

The menu in the restaurant was a bit limited, so we had pretty much chosen all the dishes we wanted to try after a couple of visits. The wi-fi was a little weak, which became a problem for viewing the online menu. The QR Code menu seems to be universal in this part of Italy, which is OK if you have good wi-fi and good phone skills, but is really annoying, in our opinion.

The staff are superb, attentive and friendly. Breakfast at Masseria Valente is a joy, sitting in the walled garden terrace as the sun warms the orange trees with a great choice of home made savoury and sweet pastries, cold cuts and cheese, delicious bread, a choice of eggs and homemade orange and lemon jams with excellent coffee. The pool is superbly designed and laid out, offering lots of space, greenery, Olive and Figs trees all around and a gently slopping pool. We combine eating in Ostuni with lunches and evening meals in the Masseria. Superb staff and delicious, homemade food from scratch using all local ingredients.

Very little could be better, A bottle opener in our kitchen was all that was missing.

The Masseria was on a beautiful operating olive grove. The rooms and grounds were just gorgeous and staff incredibly helpful. Cannot recommend this stay more. The location was perfect for exploring Ostuni and Alberello, you can do a tour of the olive grove and tasting. The restaurant both breakfast and dinner were delightful.

Nothing everything was perfect.

The property is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. It’s located near the main highway so it was easy to do day trips to the surrounding towns, however it is positioned at the end of a long road that is surrounded with olive trees so it feels very secluded. The room was nice, clean, and had AC that worked great (which you don’t always find in Italy). We enjoyed the pool and the olive oil tour/tasting on site. The restaurant food and service were wonderful- we ate there for many meals. Also, there was ample parking for all guests. Highly recommend!

We left some crackers on the table in our room for 1 hour when we went to the pool, and when we returned we had ants in our room. It was our fault- we should have wrapped up the food before leaving.

great location and atmosphere, staff was very helpful. Tour in the farm was an excellent idea. Bike to take for free. Great breakfast. Highly recommended!

Wi-fi didn't work in our room and I needed to step to the porch everytime I wanted to get connected. Staff was not able to solve this problem for 4 days.
