A beautiful, small, well maintained, modern, hotel with a unique flair for interior design with traditional Italian touches. Stunning views from the bedroom windows and restaurant across the valley to the hilltop city of Perugia. A very comfortable, modern, well stocked bedroom and several public rooms (library, terrace and kitchen/dinette) on the same upper floor as the bedrooms. The restaurant only purchased and used local products prepared by the owner and her chef to offer a delightful breakfast and a limited but delicious variety of dishes available on the dinner menu. The whole experience was a delight. Thank you Sylivia and all your friendly staff.

Our stay was too short (5 nights) we should have booked for longer... and will next time.

We were staying for 5 days at the hotel and were also eating at the restaurant. Our modern and cozy room was very clean and had a phenomenal view over Perugia's old town and the landscape. The sunsets were breathtaking. The host Silvia was amazing during our whole stay, we had wonderful individual breakfast, with different homemade food every morning. At the restaurant there was a great selection of different courses and wonderful wines. If you are visting please keep in mind that the hotel is in the outskirts of Perugia and you need a car to get around. On the other hand you are far away from the hectic city and have a wonderfully quiet ambience. Should we visit Umbria again, we will definitely stay at Stella's again.

Location is ideal for visiting everything Perugia has to offer and the room with balcony had enough space for our 5 day stay. Host very engaging and happy to provide recommendations to match the guests desired experiences. Breakfast and dinners are home cooked and a demonstration of regional 'full circle kitchen' (no waste). Our breakfast table looked out to Ancient Perugia and the beautiful hills and valleys before it - a more beautiful postcard representing the location would be hard to find.

The shower pan was very slippery, and the stairs to the room are external and uncovered.

The Locanda was not far from the city centre, yet very quiet at night. The room was large and decorated with quirky touches and the decor throughout was stylish. There were good facilities, with communal seating areas and small kitchen for guests.

We ate dinner on one night, but we felt it was more a case of style over substance and the prices high for the content we experienced. Breakfast was served, rather than buffet style and seemed a bit limited compared to other places we stayed, with rather small portions offered.

I very much regret that I only had two nights to spend time in this amazing place. It's a beautiful, small hotel located just outside of Perugia - close enough that getting to the city is not inconvenient, far enough that there is a beautiful view of the city skyline from the window. The hotel is a gem - tastefully designed, and decorated. Intimate, but with character. Thought through to every detail. Plus a phenomenal restaurant, where I would most happily spend a week. Sympathetic, helpful, and committed owners make you feel like a special guest, someone special in this place. If only I ever return to Perugia, it will definitely be to Stella!

Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

Locanda Stella is a charming place outside of Perugia. We had a car, and it made a great base to see the surrounding countryside and Perugia itself. We liked Locanda Stella so much we extended our stay for two more days. This also allowed us to eat dinner at the restaurant, which was FANTASTIC. The staff is friendly, the breakfast was great, the views are lovely. Would love to go back one day. Highly recommend!!

The moment we arrived Stella made us feel so welcome. Nothing was a bother. The accommodation was immaculate and really well thought out with lovely touches to make your stay even better. We didn’t have a chance to have dinner in the restaurant as it was closed but Stella helped with a reservation at an amazing pizza place. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Everything was great!

Very spacious and clean rooms, very comfortable beds with high quality bed linen. Great communal guest areas with library and with opportunity to purchase water and coffee for a very resonable price 24/7. Delicious breakfast with fresh and home-made ingredients. Friendly and helpful hosts. Easy access to the city of Perugia and the rest of the region. Would definitely recommend stay here again when coming back to the region. The quality of everything (room product, breakfast) is impressive for a small hotel like this and you can see that the hosts are passionate about providing high quality to their guests in all regards.
