We liked the beautiful sea view in front of our balcony, the cleanliness of the room, building and shower bathroom, and also the Positanoian decor details all on the walls and decors of the building. Beautifully designed.

The host was more bitter than welcoming. Asking for a simple black tea at the breakfast table was refused by her, because she only served coffee or cappuccino! It was easy - we believe - to get a black tea bag at least and put it in hot water to serve. Secondly, why a B&B or hotel refuse to serve the basics for breakfast?!

I don't usually write reviews but I felt I needed to express how wonderful it was to stay at La Bizantina. The villa itself is just 5 rooms so you feel like you are the only guest. The entry is only a few stairs off the street, with another small set to the lobby. There is also an elevator even though there are really only 2 floors. You will immediately be impressed by the pristine white backdrop and pops of blue tile and decor fitting for the Italian coastal atmosphere. A lovely breakfast is included as well. It is about a 20 minute walk down to the center of town. The walk back is pretty steep and we ended up taking a taxi back up the hill most days which was expensive but you can also take the local bus which is much less expensive and will also let you off in front of the hotel. Here is the main reason for the review, the incredible staff. From the minute I booked our stay I was able to communicate with the staff with the all the questions I had. They helped with booking airport transfers (at a reasonable price), tours, taxis, restaurant reservations, anything you need. One of the reasons for our trip to the was to visit the town where my family is from and get my grandfather's birth certificate for my dual citizenship application. I had sent a letter to the municipali in advance but did not get any response for weeks so I was worried things would not workout. One of the staff literally called the commune and was able to get them to not only email me a copy but let them know we would like to visit and get copies in person. She arranged a taxi, made us a boxed lunch and when we arrived in the town they were ready with a printed copy, showed us the registry recording the birth from 1886 and even, get this, followed him to the actual location where my grandfathers farmhouse would have stood almost 140 years ago. What an amazing experience all thanks to the La Bizantina staff. They go above and beyond and made our trip a true dream come true.

The staff is amazing! Gave us some really good tips for our stay at Positano and was always helping us with anything we had. Every single one was very supportive. The breakfast was delicious and the room view was SPECTACULAR! We had such a good time just looking outside the windows. Also, one of the best showers we had - the bathroom was very clean and good. There's elevator for our bags which is very helpful.

My expectations were high due to the price we paid and we even had to pay extra for ironing/cleaning our clothes - with I know it's a standard but for a luxury villa I thought this could be included. And I feel like it's more a Boutique Hotel instead of "Luxury Villa" cause I didn't feel the "luxury" status.

This is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed in Europe. We splurged for the king suite and I am so glad. Everything was exceptional! Fantastic room and terrace, lovely breakfast, and just exceptional staff. The bed was so comfortable and the shower worked great! The staff gave great recommendations and helped book reservations. The location was so great. Yes, Positano has a lot of stairs. (Don’t come to this place if you can’t do stairs!) But you can access this hotel by all roads by foot down to the main square in about 15min. The restaurants nearby are fantastic. Saraceno d’Oro, Posides, and Next2 were all favorites. There’s a great convenience store next door to those restaurants as well. There’s only a few rooms in this hotel so it felt very private (we were the only ones at breakfast each morning). It was amazing! Book this gem - it’s really great and well managed.

Absolutely nothing. It was such a lovely stay. I don’t think we had a single issue. Yes, it’s pricey but that is Positano!

The staff was excellent and personable, the breakfast was very good, the location was close to plenty of restaurants and cafes, and there was a beautiful view off the balcony. The hotel is also quite small with only around 4 or 5 rooms - which was great because it was quite and allowed the staff to be great at their jobs!

The price was quite high, and we weren't sure how to get our luggage to the hotel when we arrived from our ferry. We ended up lugging our suitcases up the equivalent of like 50 flights of stairs. It would have been nice if the hotel had given us an email with tips on how to get from the port to the hotel before we arrived. But none of that ruined any of the experience!

We decided on a whim to stay in Positano for the night. Due to traveling with a 7month baby we wanted easy access to the town the next day. The location is great. The view was amazing. The room was as expected for the money. The staff are top notch. They helped booked dinner, carry bags, were always there to answer of assist. You won’t regret staying there. Breakfast was on point.

The only thing that we noticed was an echo which I suspect is common with these style of buildings being built with hard walls and floors.

The location is excellent, the room very comfortable and spacious. Lovely patio looking over the water, and lovely bathroom. Our host, Hani, was absolutely lovely, and went out of her way to make our stay the most enjoyable and perfect in every way!

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. Perhaps the addition of cocktails on the patio in the afternoon would be nice.

Good location and stuff were great. Breakfast was really nice, prepared by staff each morning. The terrace was beautiful and the views spectacular . Bed was really comfortable and a good size.

We had a consistent banging noise from somewhere above our room that was very annoying. Not a man made sound but some kind or equipment that went off somewhat regularly through the night.

Everything in this property was beautiful, elegant and high quality. The common spaces were beautifully designed, with a clean, classic upscale esthetic with what looked like Byzantine or Moroccan touches in the light fixtures and tile patterns. Large comfortable common areas including a breakfast room, large terrace and lounge area. Of course our view was fabulous but the inside of the room was also airy, pretty and comfortable, with high arched ceilings, slipcovered sofa and chair, antique-looking substantial dresser. The bedding was comfortable, with crisp white sheets and what felt like a memory foam mattress and a lightweight cover. All the amenities you would expect in the room: well-stocked mini fridge, hot water maker with tea (but not a coffee maker), hairdryer, robes and slippers, enough outlets and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was included, which we had brought to our terrace every day. Basically a continental breakfast, though there was a boiled egg as well. A selection of fresh pastries and bread, jam and honey, large fresh fruit plate, but cheese and salamis, and drink of your choice as well as fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful, arranging dinner reservations, taxi transfers, updates on the ferry status etc.

We booked the room with the king sea view terrace. There are two built in tiled loungers(?) that did not look comfortable and ended up crowding the space because they also put in two real lounge chairs. The terrace would have been more comfortable without that tiled structure. This was also the most expensive place we have ever stayed, at close to $800 a night. But, this seems to be the going rate in Positano in September for similar accommodations, so I can’t really complain. And I liked our room and this property better than others on Booking.com in the same price range.

The view and the staff.

Small detail, but when we checked in it would have been nice of the staff to mention that there were only 2 restaurants open for dinner. We walked all the way down to the beach looking for a restaurant and none were open. We then walked all the way back to the hotel. It left us with a bad first impression of Positano.
