It’s a lovely hotel located in the centre of the town in a palace built in the 1400s, retaining some of its original frescoes and an old world charm. There are only 7 rooms in the hotel and each has its own unique theme, with other common rooms to enjoy and explore. The staff were very friendly and helpful, including the wonderful and very knowledgeable wait staff who work in the associated restaurant, which we rated very highly. We ate there both nights on which we stayed. I would recommend this place highly.

Only a small thing, but the lounge area in the room we stayed in needed at least one power-point to boil the kettle.

The room we had was very specious, clean , quiet and comfortable. Staffs are helpful. Located right in the middle of shipping area, the approach with my rental car was not easy but they took care of it beautifully. The access to shops and restaurants was great. very fashionable ambiance but yet welcoming and comfortable. Having a lot of common room was very nice.

The refrigerator had some bottles of water and we thought it was complementary as the other hotel we stayed offer for free. However we were charged for that. Wish it was mentioned somewhere but it was not a big deal.

Location, facilities and decoration. Beautiful. And very kind hosts. Breakfast ok but not amazing.

Air con is there but doesn't really work so we spent the night with a very stuffy room. Because of a/c the bathroom became really hot and uncomfortable. Shower is dated and doesn't really work properly, but one of the modes works so we used that one. No natural orange juice in breakfast and the charcuterie selection was very basic, considering we are in Romagna. If it was a cheap stay I would overlook all this tbh, but not for the price.

The location of Albergo Cappello is perfect, right in Ravenna's historic center and within a few minutes' walk of Ravenna's historic sites that include a number of sites of Byzantine mosaics, plus the tomb and a museum dedicated to Dante Alighieri. Also, there are plenty of shops and eateries nearby. Regarding food, the price of the hotel room included a delicious breakfast. We also opted to eat dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and the food was excellent. Each member of the staff we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Secure parking is located a 2 or 3-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient.

Perfect location! Right in the center of beautiful Ravenna and across from Mercato Coperto. Beautiful building and stunning rooms. Gorgeous furnishings and frescoes on the ceiling. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night, and I plan on staying here again when I come back to Ravenna.

The staff were very helpful. The location was great and central to every major attraction with plenty of sites and restaurants nearby.

We did not stay in the main hotel but in one of the additional rooms adjacent, which were up a flight of stairs. Only the main hotel had an elevator. However, we had been advised about the stairs so knew to expect them.

Accommodation, food and location extremely good. Monica was very helpful, especially in arranging additional accommodation when Ravenna and the area were flooded, Dora helped us with transport away from Ravenna when there was no public transport. Aurora provided a smiling greeting whenever we saw her.

On the first night, we were asked to fill out a breakfast menu with time and specifics. On the second night we asked if we should do so, and they said "no, just come to breakfast." My cappuccino was cold the first morning, luke warm the second morning. I would have liked another both days.

Albergo Capello was ideal for our four-day stay in Ravenna. It’s central location enabled us to visit most of Ravenna’s beautiful sights on foot, and there was the added bonus of parking, as we travelled by car. The hotel has lots of character; the room was very airy and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back again!
