This is a really small B&B in a residential complex. It is close to a public parking space, at about a 15 minute walk (about 8 by car) from the city center and beach Boulevard. The host was really welcoming and wanted to make sure we had a great stay. We stayed with three adults in the room so it was a bit cramped but enough for a one night stay. The room was clean and nicely decorated, we also had water and a few sweets. There was airconditioning which was very important in august. The breakfast had enough choices from fruit, cereal bread, coffee, tea, and several juices. It was self service but the host made sure that we were well served. Danielle runs a beautiful place with great attention for his customers. So if you are looking for a small, quiet, and clean place in Salerno, I highly recommend B&B Il Faro

We missed a plank/shelf in the bathroom to put our toiletries, we gave the host this tip.

The location is very good if you are planning to visit the old town or Concordia seaport. There are several good Italian restaurants within only 10 minutes of walking. There is also a train station nearby (which actually is the best mean of public transportation, due to the lack of normal regular public transport by bus in Salerno). There is a large and well equipped kitchen inside. The air conditioner saved us from the extremely hot weather this July.

Some kind of wardrobe or other mean of clothes storage can be added in the room.

Daniele was very helpful and provided us with a lovely breakfast each morning that included homemade baked treats that his Mum had made, delicious! He also provided us with helpful ideas on where to visit. The room was lovely, spacious enough with beautiful views from the balcony. Everything was clean and we had access to a fridge in the shared kitchen which was very helpful. The location was ideal for us, near enough to the train station and centre of town with plenty of restaurants. Only wish we'd had more time! Thanks so much Daniele for being such an excellent host!

Daniele was the most helpful host! Whether it was making dinner reservations for us (all amazing suggestions) or helping us arrange boat tours, he responded to us within minutes.The breakfast he served ever morning was much appreciated! You can tell he is dedicated to ensuring his guests have an amazing visit!

Daniele was very friendly and helpful! The place was very clean and comfortable. There was a lot of choice for breakfast.

Some breakfast options which are less sweet would be good :) E.g. toast and fresh fruit! Information about allergens would also be useful :)

The breakfast very poor, I know it is Italian breakfast, but for people from different country it is not normal.
