The place is absolutely extraordinary, very beautiful, very clean, renovated and arranged with very good taste, in the middle of nature, with such a clean and fresh air, and a lot of silence. The owners, Giovanna and Paolo, are the nicest and warmest people you can meet, very discreet, but ready to help and assist their guests with what they need. The rooms are beautiful and cosy, with very comfortable beds, large bathrooms with everything you need, and everything is sparkling clean. There is a shared living room and a shared kitchen, where you can cook and serve lunch or dinner, or you can serve meals outside, on one of the terraces. It is the perfect place for relaxation, very quite, and very romantic, ideal for those who want to enjoy nature, but also for those like us, who want to visit the nearby cities and villages, like Sansepolcro, Citta di Castello, Anghiari, Arezzo, Perugia, etc. The price is really honest for what they offer, you cannot find a comparable place in the area.

The friendship and hospitality shown by the hosts was exceptional. Paolo & Giovanna were lovely and ensured our stay was memorable. They assisted with local knowledge and food at short notice after our late arrival. The accommodation is spacious and the facilities included a full kitchen, Breakfast was the best we've had. We highly recommend this b&b however you do need transport as it is situated in a rural and wooded wonderland. Centrally placed you can easily visit Umbrian sites eg Arezzo, Spoletto Citta di Castello Gubbio Perugia then relax enjoying a wine and magical views.

We were overwhelmed with the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts. From beginning to end they took care of us and spent time talking to us about the area, family, etc. The BnB is situated at a high point with views of the mountains. Very peaceful with many hiking possibilities in the calm mountains with spring growth of the trees. The room was wonderful with a modern bathroom, our room having a private balcony. Breakfast was self-serve with everything you could need, as well as cooking facilities for the guests. The location, house and in particular the warmth of the hosts made this one of our favorite places to stay in our time in Italy.

This was a slice of heaven. Absolutely stunning! Perfect in every way. The scenery from the balcony was amazing. Our host (Joanne) was most accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her apple tart was delicious. I highly recommend a stay here.

A few steps from the Via di Francesco trail, B&B Il Palazzo is an excellent choice for walkers. The B&B is a historic property that was beautifully renovated and located in a gorgeous setting. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Strong wifi connection. Our host was extremely kind and hospitable. Our stay included access to the shared kitchen, which was very helpful.

Beautiful home and exceptional hosts who anticipated and met every need for two rain-soaked and tired pilgrims on the Via di Francesco. Facilities included a full kitchen and dining room — far exceeding our expectations.

There was nothing we didn’t like; everything was wonderful.

Giovanna was just the most exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble she even arranged a cab for us on our final day as we needed one to take us to the train station. We had such an amazing time staying, and would highly recommend for those who want some time away. We stayed in the room with the balcony and couldn't have been happier.

Nothing about the property, but we did not have a car, thankfully had someone who was able to drop us to the location. But ideally to stay here you would need one as nothing is within walking distance in the evenings - so one to bear in mind if travelling.

Both Giovanna and Paolo are simply fantastic - Very welcoming! The location is breath-taking and serene. If you are looking to detach from the every day noise and chaos, then this is the perfect place for you!

Note that location is in the middle of nowhere, so the drive up is quite a journey (daily) but totally & absolutely worth it!! Recommend to rent a car.

I chose B&B Il Palazzo as I was walking the Way of St Francis to Assisi. It was good accommodation in a beautiful setting, with clean and comfortable rooms including a shared lounge/diner/bar and kitchen. As the local restaurants were closed at the time of my visit, the hostess offered to cook a meal. It was traditional Italian food with vegetables grown in the garden; at the end we were given homemade vinsanto and cantucci- delicious! The hosts also helped me out when I wanted to wash my clothes, providing me with detergent, a basin and clothes-horse. B&B Il Palazzo is a great option if you want a good option close to nature.

As I have discovered in Italy, breakfast can mean different things. Whilst everything provided was fine, it was quite carb and sugar heavy! This possibly reflects my personal tastes more than anything but I think it's worth mentioning.

Paolo e Giovanna our hosts have been so kind in making us comfortable and welcomed after a day of walking under the rain. They even drove us to the nearby restorant since after over 23km by feet we weren't so ready to walk an extra 2km Breakfast has a great variety if food and the kitchen well equipped
