The location is stunning and the apartment was nice and spacious and well appointed with a great view. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. This is our second visit and despite the water issue, we'll definitely be back.

We had no hot water in our apartment for the entire stay despite numerous attempts by the local maintenance staff to remedy the situation. Thankfully the apartment next door was vacant and we were able to use the shower there. Whilst not ideal, it eased the situation. Apart from the issue with the water, the resort and location is 10/10.

Staff is very friendy (both reception as well as breakfast and restaurant), appartment clean (cutlery not spotclean though, had to wash before using due to crumbs), appartment size great, view too. Kitchenette is very well organized and had kettle, coffee machine, toaster and other appliances which can be very useful, as well as enough glasses, plates, pots etc, very handy if you want to dine in during your stay. They also provide dish soap, tea towels and sponges, which is not always the case and was highly appreciated.

Parking is not super easy depending on day of the week and time of day, but staff will help you carry suitcases from the parking down the road if needed (before 7pm). Breakfast needs improvement on the savoury side of things. There were lots of cakes, biscuits etc which were tasty and really nice, but the only bread available was industrial slices of toast bread, and there were only low quality ham and cheese and boiled eggs. Would suggest to add options such as omelettes/scrambled eggs (maybe on request so you don't have a lot of leftovers if that's the reason why they do not provide them), and also add tomatoes, other cured meats and different cheeses.

The view from our room was phenomenal. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was great. We visited Sacro Bosco (aka the Monster Park) nearby and loved it! Also, we came for the town's annual Chestnut festival and loved the spirit the townspeople brought to the festival. It was the best Renaissance fair ever.

This place is definitely for fit people. You must walk up steep hills to get there (can't drive a car to the door and there are no taxis) and once you get to the hotel there are more stairs to get to the room. There is no elevator. It was fine for me but my husband has problems with mobility and it was a challenge for him. Also, the shower was tiny.

The resort is beautiful, and the upper garden has gorgeous views! Everyone on the staff was professional and welcoming and friendly in every interaction. Great location in central Soriano, and I visited during the chestnut festival, so lots going on all the time. Easy parking across the street (and further down the hill, and if you park in the underground add a set of stairs). I stayed in Apartment 1, which is a studio. It had a small, but very functional and fully stocked kitchen. I was able to cook many of my meals and never lacked a cooking tool or utensil. The fridge was ice cold, and one very nice touch was that there was a bottle of very cold water in the fridge when I arrived. So welcome! During my stay, the lower garden was closed while the landscaping and stone work was redone (that was the view from my window, but I completely understood and not a problem for me at all). The a/c wasn't very strong, which wasn't a huge problem except it was in the upper 80s in late September during my stay - unusual, but getting to be more common in Italy, unfortunately. This is definitely not a hotel for anyone with mobility issues. As nearly all other guests noted, you have to climb a steep hill to reach the lobby, and from there one of the two buildings does not have a lift and I needed to carry luggage down a full flight of stairs to reach my room. And then obviously climb the stairs and navigate the hill every time I came and went. Not an issue for me at all and I knew about it in advance, but please take this seriously if you have any concerns about mobility at all - it can be a real problem if you aren't in at least moderately good shape. I believe a porter can assist with luggage, but just getting to and from the hotel requires you to be somewhat fit or it will be a big challenge. Breakfast was always nice - typical continental breakfast. Nice cornetti, good coffee, fresh juices, other pastries and yogurts.

The a/c wasn't super strong - it did cool things down, but it would have been nice if it was a bit colder. I would have been happy to leave the windows open normally, but the mosquitoes were awful this year and I had to rely on the a/c at night.

Wonderful hotel, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very big. We got the one with kitchen and full refrigerator The location is amazing. The parking 🅿️ is easy. They don’t explain very well but just need to get one block from the hotel and find a spot to park or park on double row and leave one person in the car, walk to the hotel and Raul will help you with his little car, he will take you to the parking and bring your belongings to the hotel. Breakfast was great

This is our third time at Palazzo catalani and we always enjoy it. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The staff is excellent. It is a great value for the price. We came to Soriano for the chestnut festival and thoroughly enjoyed it.

My only complaint is that the showers could be a little larger. Also, could the hills perhaps be made a bit less steep (joke)? Seriously, we love Soriano and the Palazzo.

Spectacular view of the castle and whole city. Very friendly staff, they help you find a free parking spot in the city and drive you and your luggage with their car to the hotel. Hotel is very close to the central piazza. We arrived late for breakfast and still got served by a very friendly lady.

Not accessible for people with disabilities. A lot of stairs and no elevator but the staff brings your luggage to the room.

Rooms are spacious and nice. We stayed in the «new» building , with elevator and air condition. The Pergola area behind and above it is the best thing about this place. We sat there at night to enjoy the best pizza and wine while watching the lightning and magnificent view over the town and its castle.

Should have a small outdoor pool for warm days

Beautiful historical building, clean and comfortable.

The room was really nice but small. There is no space, the table and the chairs are attached to the bed and there is no space between them and the kitchen, so it gets difficut to move inside the room to go to the bathroom or to leave the room. I asked them because the photos of the room I booked were not similar but they told me that it was because the bathroom was bigger.... On the other hand they told me a price (written by email) to use the spa and then they told me it was not correct. I showed them and in the end they corrected it.

We had an excellent view of the town and castle. The rooms were big and had a kitchenette. We could have easily stay for a week there. The bed was very comfortable for a European hotel.

It is 10 euros per person for an hour at the spa and you have to schedule it. We couldn't get on the schedule so didn't go. It is up hill and could be a hike for some people. You have to park your vehicle down in a parking garage so kinda of a hassle to get to your bags to your room. There is man with a little truck that can help but you might have to wight for him.
