the staff were amazing the room was so clean we had bought a bottle of wine and the next day the staff had left wine glasses in our room our room was cleaned brilliantly every day the building is in such a private square with two safety gates and feels so safe while being on a nice welcoming lively street in the evening till about 11 weekdays anyway the little bars and restaurants well outstanding I would happily book this accommodation again and would recommend it to anyone

don't open the windows in the evening u will get a mosquito or 2

Well located to Vaporetto platforms and easy to access major attractions. Supermarket, restaurant, bars & Café are around 10 minutes of walking Nice and clean bedroom could accommodate 4 of us in a 2 double-bed bedroom with tea, coffee & water. TV, wifi & WC/Shower attached to the bedroom. A must-come bed & breakfast place with a Very professional & helpful staff. Mrs. Soledad is very nice and welcomed me with my little family very well. Mr. Stefano even helped us for informing us about change in train timings. The staff even arranged the keep our luggages even after our checkout so we could enjoy Venetia till our last moment to take our train.

Antica Raffineria is run by a wonderful family, kind and helpful. The rooms and corridors are freshly painted. Nice art on the corridor walls. The room was clean and daily maintained, well-stocked with water and snacks, which was a wonderful surprise. We felt very safe in the area, even when coming back late after midnight. Location-wise, the hotel is in the heart of the famed Cannaregio and close both to the Santa Lucia train station and the vaporetto/Allylagoona station (this partucular vaporetto spot does not sell tickets). We walked everywhere, including with luggage from the train station. 15-20 min on foot to Rialto bridge, 30 min to San Marco square. Within close proximity, there are many retail stores. Right outside the courtyard, you come on to a canal with a sidewalk with many small, affordable, well-visited restaurants. Among them is Sullaluna, a bookstore/cafe, which is one of the hidden gems in Venice. Try their organic food, capuccino and the fantastic Proseco made in the owner's winery. There is also a well-stocked supermarket just meters from the hotel and a great little bakery with a few gluten-free pasty items, too. If you are in Venice for the Biennale, look for the Grenada pavilion nearby and Zeng Fanzhi's exhibition at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia at the end of the canal.

The facility lacks a washer/drier, but there is a highly-rated lavanderia within 18 minutes walk.

Fabulous facility off the beaten track away from the noise and bustle of Venice. It was just a short walk to the main street where all the shops and activities were. It was a short walk to the Santa Lucia Train Station. It was a short walk to one of the Vaporetto Stops. A 'Grocery' store was close by as well as bakeries and fresh produce. Many restaurants were close by. The 'staff' were extremely helpful with things to do and how to get around. The airlines had lost my baggage and the 'staff' took my information and dealt with the situation as I toured around town enjoying the city rather than dealing with the problem. The room was very clean and a decent size. The Air Conditioning worked nicely.

No Breakfast. But this wasn't a 'Real' problem since bakeries and a supermarket were close by.

The hotel has new owners and they are doing really great. The room is spacious enough, good bathroom with bidet and hairdryer, soap and shampoo to take a shower. In the room you find as well coffee machine and kettle, a bottle of water and some biscuits. There is as well a small fridge in the room. Bed sheets are very white and clean, towels are big and soft. Well located near the railway station or a stop of vaporetto. City center is not so far away. Bars, pizza, wine shop are only 200 meters away. I want to praise Soledad and other owners for their service, attitude, smile. Always ready to help, to answer the questions and to find the suitable solution even before and after check in and check out. It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel and to get acquainted Soledad, Stefano and Isabel.

the location was amazing, the room was very clean, and there was THE FRIENDLIEST STAFF EVER!!

The only thing that wasnt right was the broken air conditioning system - it all beginned when we’ve arrived, we were calmed by the staff, that they are trying there best to make it cooler (it was very hot back then). they were trying to make our time at this hot place better - we recieved a second fan, the staff was keeping in touch with us due to the „hot” problem, informed us, and at the end we recieved a big refund - and thats how they did their best.

The room was quite spacious and clean. View threw the window, was nice as well, AI worked well. Location was really great, near the train station, ship stop, as well in quite area. Just leaving from the hotel, is possible to find really nice places for eat, there as well you can meet many locals. As Venice itself is not big, I really liked this location, more far from crowded touristic places.

Only thing was a bit irritating, that water in the shower water was draining really slow.

The owner was VERY friendly and accomodating (came outside and asked us if we wanted coffee during a morning smoke), the location itself was a bit remote (so no noise and crowds) with a cute outdoor hallway and a shared kitchen that had everything you needed. The owner even allowed us to check in ahead of time (due to guests leaving earlier) for no extra costs and we were able to leave the luggage on site after checkout, because we still had a few hours left for exploring. All in all, what we got was well worth the price and I'd be happy to return, if I ever get to visit Venice again.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was the ventilation in the bathroom; we encountered a few mosquitos in the morning, which I assume travelled through the ventilation shafts, as there was no window in the bathroom.

The hotel is really nice! It is located in a small backyard and the area around is not too touristy with some cute restaurants and bars by the canal. The room was basic but had pretty much all we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel to my friends and come back the next time I stayed in Venice.

We were in Venice in the middle of summer and it was extremely hot! The room had an A/C but that did not work so well, especially during the night. Besides that a fridge would be great during those hot days to store some food in the room as well. Other than that we had an amazing stay.

The property is in a very good location, easy to find. The people who work at the hotel are so lovely, very helpful and kind. We were able to leave our luggage before & after check in at the reception. the room was very clean and had everything we needed. The area is so lovely, around 20min walk from St Marco Square. Would recommend this place to anyone and would be very happy to go back there again!

we stayed in Venice in March and the room was a bit cold but we had blankets to keep us warm at night. I’m not sure if there’s heating there.
