The staff was great and very helpfull. The room very comfortable and spacious. The food, incredible! We booked it because it was relatively close to the Cosmoprof Fair we were attending and all hotels in Bologne were fully booked. It was a 25 minutes drive, which was good enough for us. The road to and from the hotel is in very good conditions and not a winding one; quite straight, no curves (I get car sick), so for me, the trip between hotel and the fair - perfect! The hotel is located in a small village, all surrounded by fruit trees, all green (April - May), so coming back in the evening was a great place to relax after a very long and hard day of business meetings.

The Italian breakfast. There was many sweet things. I would have prefer a continental breakfast. That region is fool of amazing local food. They could have use more local specialties.

Breakfast was good but very predictable. Staff were friendly but every morning I had to ask for cold milk for tea and frequently there were no breakfast blend teabags. Understanding of different coffees was difficult but staff were helpful and their English was better than my Italian.

Location was the problem. Lacking in public transport including taxis. 40 minute walk to railway station along roads without pavements. Air conditioning was not available due to time of year but despite heating being off rooms were too hot. Also very noisy dogs that barked at midnight and early in the morning, probably wouldn’t have been so bad but had to have windows open to cool room down.

Features such as swimming pool, spa etc on site were not available to guests without extra cost. A request to extend our stay one night was turned down, not because the room wasn’t available but apparently because the hotel was shutting down for some reason! There appeared to be a skeleton staff on site. Taxis not easily obtained. Not a big town but 2K to the station. No kettle or any form of coffee/tea making in the rooms. WiFi intermittently disappeared for hours. Reception were unable to print out our boarding passes.

The hotel was clean, modern, and spacious. A car is vital, to explore the area but there is plenty of parking on site. ‘A bit off the beaten track’ ensures a quiet stay, but not for anyone who enjoys a city nightlife.

There was nothing to dislike. Any minor problems with rooms were swiftly dealt with, and staff were polite and attentive.
