Location was brilliant-we travelled by train, so very convenient. Also close to shops and good restaurants a short walk away. Liked that you could get food, albeit a limited choice, and a drink at the hotel at any time. Ambience in lounge area was good and staff very attentive , polite and friendly. Room and ensuite also very good - comfortable with all needs met. We loved ourr stay, but one thing let it down......

........THE BED WAS TOO SMALL.!!!!! It was a double and definitely not big enough for my partner and I to sleep without one of us being at the very edge of the bed or not have any covers. We definitely did not get a good night's sleep. For us and probably others too, a few rooms offering a king or even super- king (2 singles zipped together) would be the icing on the cake., Please don't suggest we book 2 singles. The actual mattress and bedding are not in question - they were good - it's just the size, that is,.

The room was a good size with a small sofa next to the bed. Very clean throughout. It was also very quiet in the room. The bed itself was really comfortable and there was a choice of firm and soft pillows. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but nice (and included at no extra cost). The staff were accommodating for vegetarian options but there were loads of other breakfast choices too.

The shower had really low pressure which was disappointing. Also our room was on the lower ground floor and only one lift went down - there were no clear signs for stairs anywhere which meant we had to wait quite some time for a lift every time we wanted to go up or down. If we stayed longer we definitely would have asked where the stairs are but having some signs would be helpful too.

Situated in a housing complex area. Library opposite. Shopping centre next door. Flats all around. My room view looked out over the GP and Library. Convenient for the parking site....2mins walk. And the shopping centre 2 mins again.......easy to grab a takeaway for dinner. Excellent if you just need a simple base in the area. I needed a quiet place to work. Despite being in such a built up area the insulation was great.....once you closed the window you heard nothing. Thick blind out curtains cut off all light for a comfortable night's sleep and the room was very clean.

Breakfast was so-so. Good range of options...just no flavour. Couldn't taste anything from the eggs or sausages. But it's a 3 star hotel, can't expect luxury food. There were several energy saving LED side lights in the room....no main overhead ceiling light though, so it felt a bit dim at night. If your expectations are of a 3 star hotel, then for the price, this is excellent value. Very clean and comfortable. Good strong WiFi. All the necessities. Cleaning staff deserve a raise.

It's a nice central location, staff were very friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the hotel. (You could have told me it was finished being built a couple months prior to my visit and I could believe it)

The bedroom windows only open about 2-3 inches which was not ideal in warm/hot weather. The mains sockets seemed to be focused on the opposite side of the room from the bed (USB-A sockets were provided by the bed) but unfortunately I had a USB-C to USB- C cable which meant I needed the wall socket (so maybe look as updating the USB socket to a hybrid socket or a USB-A and USB-C outlet

Location was great, room was clean and had toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, ironing board, air con/heating. TV. Breakfast had plenty choices, although there were no egg with the cooked choices at 9.15, despite a packed restaurant 👎 but cereals, yoghurt, pastries, rolls, toast and a pancake making machine to choose from.

No eggs with breakfast - given that breakfast ran until 10.00 am and we arrived at 9.15 am to a packed restaurant, it was a bit poor that they 'ran out' of egg. Not everyone wants bacon or sausage with breakfast (and the hash browns were soggy)

Good location, no free parking and paid for a little walk, would be easier if food and drink can be charged to the room

would be nice to have an option on eggs at breakfast

Hotel reception was clean and welcoming and the staff very good. Parking was available outside the hotel on the road using a parking meter. Other parking was also available at a reasonable cost. Very close location to the train station and also Stevenage leisure Centre, theatre and food outlet village The rooms were large and clean and the breakfast was a buffet but with plenty of choice for all tastes I would also say the hotel is very good value for money

The hotel corridors smelled like people had been smoking in them and it wasn't the nicest smell as you left the lifts to go to your room. Our bedrooms didn't smell of people smoking though

Our second visit en route to Folkestone. A perfect stopover as Stevenage is on the A1M. We were able to park outside the hotel for free although on a previous visit, we parked at nearby Asda at a reduced rate. The hotel is excellent; great facilities, clean and fully equipped, breakfast included and friendly and helpful staff. We are staying again on our journey home from France in 2 weeks and would highly recommend as a stopover. Stevenage old town is a short walk away where there are plenty of eating options and bars.

Everything was good.

I enjoyed the continental breakfast but most of all I like the staff. One staff member in particular called Azz was so helpful. I was on a break with my daughter who is non verbal and autistic. She was being quite challenging at breakfast and Azz recognised and he brought over some crayons an stuff for my daughter to distract with. It felt so nice to be offered help instead of being judged. From that moment Azz always asked how my stay was, if I needed anything and that he was here to help. Azz made my 2 nights stay a pleasure and because of the this alone I would definitely recommend. Thanks Azz!

I thought it was a bit pricey at £220 for 2 nights stay just me and my 3year old daughter.

Rooms are really cheap in price, but so nice. I have stayed in really expensive hotels that were nowhere near as nice as this. Staff welcoming & liked the breakfast

My only issues are the thick pillows & the issue with plug sockets & USB ports in the room. You get 2 pillows on the bed, both are thick & I can't sleep on a thick pillow which had my face a restless night, so I think there should be one thick pillow & one slim pillow for those who sleep more flat. Although I don't remember having this issue on a past stay, USB ports in the room didn't work & only 1 socket on the double socket about the table was working as in out plugs didn't fit the 1 socket despite it being a 3 pin plug socket. I couldn't charge my phone next to my bed. Very inconvenient. My first stay was amazing
