Everything was amazing! The size of the room, the private onsen, the breakfast, it was all so good and above expectations. The room is quite large, has the small living room space and two beds which is more than enough for me and my mom. The onsen downstairs is private and just what we needed to relax and unwind, they provide yukata to change into. The traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing! Everything was fresh, the variety was amazing and it was all so delicious. The location of the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from town center so it's not bad but just something to keep in mind if you want something a little closer to town center. There is a 7 eleven across the street if you need. By far a highlight of our kusatsu trip!

Everything was fantastic. The ladies that greeted us were so adorable, the room vas spacious and very clean. We could choose the color of yukata and we could go to town and public onsens in it, also had baskets for towels. Breakfast is another experience in privet room that has a view on small garden. And charming older lady serves breakfast with many delicious thing in small plates. location for us vas perfect, ryokan is close to the Otaki no yu onsen, which we loved the most, and to Yubatake is 13 minutes walk.

No complaints.

The breakfast was impressive. The best meal we had in Japan. Also, pajamas provided and robes you can wear outside when you are exploring the town. Parking was easy and it was in a very quiet area. There was a private onsen which my family, 2 adults 2 kids enjoyed. The highlight of our trip. Everything we so clean. Will love to come back to visit again on our next japan trip.

The breakfast was authentic and excellent, we only wished we could also have dinner there :) The room is very nice, the place is perfect clean, the hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

The only minus is that sound isolation from neighboring rooms was poor and one could hear the neighbours especially if they were loudish.

Very quiet environment, good breakfast. 7-11 just across the street. There are four guest rooms and two private hot baths, so you’ll have lots of privacy.

The place was really beautiful: the perfect place to relax. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious...I think it is the best stay I've had in Japan so far and definitely the best in kusatsu (my 3rd time there)

Nothing. We loved every single minute at the hotel.

The real Japanese design for overall accommodation are excellent. The service of the three people ( may be the owner) are very warm and kindness.

The location is almost 1 km from downtown, we can walk but hardly to carry the luggage.

Superb small family run inn that is perfect in every way. The personnel are lovely, helpful and friendly. The inn itself was beautiful, super clean with quite large rooms. Our room had both a sleeping and separate sitting area, all of which was very comfortable. The beds were the best of our entire trip, firm but still soft. And the breakfasts were superb, flavorful, filling and home made. We loved all the different touches provided and will absolutely come back to stay again! It was easy to park in their offsite lot and walk into town for the onsens and restaurants.

Nothing!

This place is a gem in Kusatsu. It's on the outskirts of town, but we knew that before booking and were very happy with the quiet and calm nature of where we stayed. The space is impeccable, and we loved our room. There were 2 double beds with the most comfortable bedding I've experienced in a hotel with a Japanese tatami mat space with a desk, as well as a food area for tea and refrigerator. Very well separated and decorated. The breakfasts were delicious and meticulously crafted. Access to the hot springs at the end of the day was a major bonus, and only once did I find one of the two occupied during my 3 nights there. The yukatas and pajamas offered are very soft and comfortable. This place is worth visiting, I highly recommend it.

Honestly, it's very hard to come up with something. If I had to pick, WiFi was spotty, but it did the job and we weren't there to work so it didn't bother us.

We loved our stay here! The hosts are incredibly nice people who went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Our room was gorgeous and smelled divine (I think it was the cedar wood). It was very spacious for 3 adults and sooo comfortable - sometimes it was tempting to just chill in the room rather than go exploring ;-) The private baths are big, roomy and hot. It’s also a short walk from Otakinoyu which was our favourite of the public Onsen (you cannot have too much bathing when in Kusatsu). Finally, each morning we were served a beautiful, lovingly prepared breakfast in a lovely, sunshine filled room. Such a treat. It was sad to say goodbye to this beautiful ryokan and our lovely hosts. I hope we can stay here again one day.
