Being a solo traveler, this is the only hotel which I managed to book within my budget throughout my 3 weeks trip in Japan. It’s a very worthy stay with breakfast provided and relatively spacious room for one (compared with my friend’s stay in Tokyo). The hotel is very accessible - within 10 minutes walk from the JR station and the tram station. The room is clean and the staffs are very helpful as well in guiding me on the check-in and check-out procedures.

There are only 2 washing machines and dryers each (4.5kg capacity) at the lobby which I think it’s not sufficient to serve all the customers within the hotel. Needed to walk to a laundry shop 7 minutes away to wash my clothes as the person in front of me elected a 120 minutes dry at 9pm.

The​ room​ is​ nice, quite small​ but​ well-organized.​ The​ bed​ quality is​ good.​ Just​ a shame that​ it​ comes​ with​ only one​ pillow.​ They​ allowed us​ to​ use​ the​ air-condition​ so​ it​ has​ the​ air-flow​ and​ we​ love​ it. All staffs​ are​ friendly -​ always​ smile​ when​ talking with​ us​ and​ willing to​ help.​ It​ has​ the​ self​ check-in​ machine but​ if​ you​ come​ as​ a​ group, check​ing​ in​ at​ the​ counter is​ an​ option.​ The​ parking​ system​ is​ automaticcally.​ Very​ convenient.​ The​ break​fast​ is​ quite​ less​ variety but​ good.​ I​ really​​ enjoyed​ the​ clear​ soup -​ so​ delicious.​ The​ system​ is​ lovely​ -​ they​ will​ ask us​ in​ the​ night​ if​ we​ require the​ break​fast​ in​ the​ next​ morning.​ This​ is​ to​ reduce​ the​ food​ watse -​ good​ sustainable policy.​ The​ location​ is​ good. You​ can​ walk​ around to​ the​ Morning​Market, Ferry​ Port, Hachiman Zaka Slope, Red​ Brick​ and Orthodox Church.​

Just​ the​ variety​ of​ break​fast.​ The​ other​ is​ good​ as​ is.​😊​

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel for 3 nights with family of 7, splitted in two rooms, although the each rooms were a bit small for us but it was very comfortable, we also noted a decent free Japanese style breakfast which we enjoyed it very much, we think it's good value for money. The hotel is located within walking distance from JR Hakodate railway station so it's very convenient for tourists like us. At night, you can access to many restaurants and choose different foods you like within walking distance from the hotel.

Convenient location and locality.

Courteous and helpful staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had various items, all well prepared. Close to the train station, and plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. One short block off a main road, so quiet environment. I’d stay here again - and at other Toyoko Inns.

Only one elevator, so occasionally a bit of a wait - but a minor annoyance at most.

The room was well proportioned, fully equipped with everything you would need, the bed was comfortable, and you could adjust the indoor temp/humidity via the aircon+humidifier(big plus). While the staff don't speak English, they were incredibly helpful, kind and addressed all my questions carefully and thoroughly.

Convenient to JR Hakodate station. Clean room, decent soundproofing. Quality products for breakfast that included some local Hokkaido produce - a nice touch, that I appreciated

WIFI very poor. Also 4pm check-in time is too late

Clean comfy room, with simple buffet breakfast. It is located only about 500m from JR Hakodate station.

The room was too small. There's not enough space for large luggage or bike case.

Clean room, decent size. Free breakfast was good.

4pm check in was a tad later than I'm used to but they do let you store luggage so it ain't too bad.

Easy access to and from the airport. Within walking distance of the train/transit station. Included breakfast was great.

Rooms a little smaller than I would like.

Arrive a bit after check in time but staff was very nice and accommodating, no problem to check in. Breakfast was very good!

The mattress will be very hard for some people, but very big for a double room, so still good in my opinion.
