Being from New Zealand it was a pleasure to have a Japanese style room. It was clean and very Japanese. There was complimentary coffee and drinks (certain times) in the reception area. We especially enjoyed the onset and made full use of it. The location was perfect as it was basically at the Imabari end of the Shiminari Kaido cycle way and across the road from the railway station. We were able to securely leave our bikes locked in the foyer and were also able to recharge our bike batteries overnight in our room.

The hotel wasn't particularly obvious until we noticed A small sign near some steps that were a dead end. Further investigation revealed an entrance to the left. However then we took a few minutes of investigation to work out that reception was up the stairs.

located across the road from the JR station, we were able to drop our luggage off before check in time. The staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of nice little extras like a welcome drink, free little sweeties and hot drinks and soups you can make for yourself in the lobby. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Free massage chairs too. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices and the food was delicious. Fresh juice and coffee was great to start our day. I would stay here again.

While the men had access to the public bath for long sessions , the Womens bath was small and only 2 people could access it for 30 minute sessions in the evening which had to be pre-booked by calling the front desk. (quite daunting if you speak little Japanese) . Also there needs to be English signs on the ground floor telling customers that the reception desk is on the 2nd floor.

The hotel was very centrally located. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel accommodations were basic, but they offered any additional services or items in the front which you could easily take with you up to your room. I appreciate this method as it reduces waste per room. The breakfast was EXCELLENT and I felt safe parking my bicycle. Would definitely stay here again if I come through Imabari.

No AC, but we got a fan to fix the problem~

we were cycling the Shimanami Kaido from Onomichi to Imabari so the location - right in front of Imabari station was a suitable endpoint. also nice was the big hot bath and welcome drink. staff were also very helpful and patient with us as we arrived at different times and some without passports. price was very reasonable, with buffet breakfast (Japanese style)

Bath could’ve been a bit hotter for my tired legs. it was set at 40 degrees. but that’s just splitting hairs. the rooms we had smelt of smoke. ok, they were advertised as smoking rooms, so no surprises, but really quite strong smell.

The staff were very helpful. I really liked that there were bicycles available for free on a first-come, first-served basis for use by customers. They are not great bikes, but they did did the job. It is about a 10 min easy bike ride from the hotel to Imabari Castle. The hotel is also close to the train station. All in all, this was a very clean, comfortable place with a very good breakfast. I recommend it.

Very kind and helpful staff, comfortable futon beds, plenty of channels on the TV, free breakfast was varied and good, free alcoholic and soda/non-alc vending machine, location right next to station and bike rentals for the Shimanami Kaido and windows that could open for nice ocean breeze!

A little bit smoky-smelling but faded after a while. Hotel was clean but definitely old.

The proximity to the train station and so many sights was fantastic and the huge breakfast spread was amazing.

The bed could have been more firm and supportive and the carpet was really worn in the room. Also there was no sign with an English name except on the back door stairs.

The facilities in the hotel were really nice for a relaxing vacation with a welcome drink, a public bath and a great buffet breakfast in the morning. Also very close to the train station, bike rental and restaurants.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and small for 2 people.

Very close to the JR station. Was perfect for a one night stay after doing the Shimanami Kaido. Comfy room with a decent bathtub. Love the drink bar in the lobby. Wish it was open in the morning to have a coffee.

Good breakfast buffet. The Japanese style room was really nice with a view out onto the street at the tree tops.

The women’s hot baths wasn’t very full so it felt strange sitting in a half full bath.
