Most Dormy Inn's are a great place to stay and this one is no exception. This one is located within walking distance of Hirome Ichiba where we ate dinner. Our room was good, as was the onsen area. The breakfast buffet was excellent - a great way to start our day! Once we found the parking area, we discovered that it is easy walking distance from the hotel.

We had some difficulty finding this hotel, even with the GPS. The parking area for this hotel is in a separate area and we also had difficulty finding the parking. The hotel staff tried to help us, but even they had difficulty. They tried using the phone number of the parking facility, but it didn't work. I think it would have been good to have a picture of the building where the parking is located, not just a street map.

Location was superb; right beside the main shopping street and attached to a familymart (they even have their own entrance from the hotel connecting to it!) The bath was good after a day out in the cold and the free food perks were fun; didn’t use the massage chair but noticed there was a mini manga library in the massage chair room too which was a nice touch. Room was clean and has everything you will need. It was also relatively spacious for a Japan hotel.

Pillows were quite flat (typical of Japan hotels we noticed) so it would be nice if there were more to stack up

I have always been satisfied with the Dormy Inn chain of hotels, and the Kochi Dormy Inn is no exception. For the price you pay for a typical business hotel, you receive complimentary access to the hotel's onsen and free amenities such as ramen, which is a fantastic value. However, it's worth noting that this time I had to pay an additional 150 Japanese yen per person as a newly introduced Hot Spring Tax. Arriving at the hotel by car, it is still convenient to unload your luggage in front of the hotel if you can find a space. Alternatively, you can park your car directly in P1if you have lighter belongings. It's just a 3-4 minute walk to the hotel from there (please refer to the attached photo for instructions). My room, with a northern-facing view, was simply amazing as it overlooked Kochi Castle, one of the twelve remaining original castles in Japan. PAY LITTLE EXTRA FOR A BIG ROOM IS SMART, if money is not an issue! In terms of location, the hotel is situated within a walking shopping arcade, making it incredibly convenient to find bars and restaurants. There's never a shortage of dining options in the area.

The only downside I encountered during check-in this time was the 15-minute wait in the queue at 5:30 pm. Perhaps I was just unlucky, as the two groups of guests in front of me had numerous inquiries, which caused delays at two out of the three service windows.

The hotel room was clean and tidy. There are leisure area with free massage chairs and a lot of reading books in Japanese. Onsen was moderate but hotel provides a lot free drinks, noodles, ice cream at different periods. More choices for breakfast. Very close to shopping area and Kochi Castle. Unexpectedly there was local market fare next to hotel during Sunday morning!😄

The hotel was well situated in the centre of Kochi near the main shopping street and the castle. The rooms were comfortable, and the facilities were good. The onsen was a great plus!

The system for ordering room cleaning didn't work, whether we ordered room cleaning or no room cleaning, new towels or no new towels, we got new towels left by the door and no room cleaning

Location was awesome. Onsen is alway a treat. Plunge pool is amazing.

Tattoo rules are annoying. We are not Yakuza and having small tattoos that we need to cover up is out dated and ridiculous. People cleaning their teeth in the same water we need to soak in is way more offensive that a small tattoo with meaning.

The complimentary noodles for supper was delicious! We also like the convenient location - accessible to shopping streets and Family Mart (next door) as well as the useful facilities (free laundry service, onsen in hotel, Ta-q-bin service available).

Would be nice to have a proper lounge area with seats outside of onsen for people to rest or wait.

just beside Hirome market. there is onsen in the hotel. they also provide free ice cream, free ramen for supper and free probiotic drink in the morning. pleasant surprise to have so many items.

no carpark in the hotel. have to drive abit out for designated carpark which is chargeable.

Breakfast is exceptional. Location is close to scenic spots, shopping centre and eateries. Free laundry facilities, popsicles and late evening noodles are available.

The ventilation of the entrance and changing area of the onsen can be improved.

The public bath was great with a sauna and a few baths to choose from. The complimentary treats after the bath were much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable. Our stay here helped us decide to stay at another Dormy Inn later in our trip to Japan.

We wish there was dedicated/free parking.
