I like the buffet continental breakfast with different Japanese and Continental breakfast to choose from. We love the location, just 1km from Kyoto Station. And the bus transfer service to the train service was an excellent conveniwnt way for pixkup and dropoff at the station. We love the spacious room and comfortable beds! We had a restful sleep.

I dont understand why the fitness centreand swimming pool are only open between 1-8pm. I hope they open the fitness centre in the morning.

10 mins away from Kyoto station. There are a few restaurants nearby and a 7/11 shop. A bigger shopping centre is within walking distance, 10 min away. The pool is good but a little too warm. The hotel offers shuttle service to the station every 20 mins. The breakfast was very good with lots of different food to choose from. Waiters were prompt and non-intrusive.

Pool is open until 8 and one has to get in before 6:30pm. Toilets look a bit dated. We stayed at Hotel Elcient in Osaka prior to this one, and I wished we had booked at Elcient in Kyoto, too. It was right next to the station.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. There was an ice machine and drinking water refill station on each floor which was fantastic! The rooms were a very good size with a lot of amenities. The fitness suite was a little bit small but had all the main equipment needed for a good workout and the swimming pool and jacuzzi were excellent. The location was excellent with most large tourist sights within 1hr by public transport or 30mins by taxi, Kyoto station was less than a 10min walk and there was always at least 1 taxi at the front door. The luggage transport system in Japan is a fantastic tool which I will be looking for on other holidays now.

Unfortunately the fitness suite and swimming pool opening times were 1:30pm-8:30pm which meant we had to replan our itinerary to come back during the day to use it or cut a couple days short to use it before going out for dinner.

Friendly, accommodating staff, great pool, great breakfast and love the rotating restaurant at the top! Water fill stations available and complimentary bottles each day. Convenient shuttle service to/from nearby train station.

My room was on the side of the train tracks so train noise was bothersome at night. Mattress a bit hard for my taste.

Breakfast was good. There was a line to the top floor restaurant, but to the buffet we could walk in. Location close to the train station worked very well. Indoor pool was very refreshing after a long day of walking

Location is close to the Kyoto main station, but not so obvious, you need to take their Hotel bus to reach hotel during your arrival then you know how to walk to the hotel from the station.

I liked the experience of the hotel from reception until departure. It was such a pleasure from the reception, where they welcomed us and finished our processes, and then to the room which was Japanese styled room, to the food facility, which was superb. I liked how the staff treated us with great attitude, which is something one can be familiar with from Japan culture, however this hotel exceeded that treatment and attitude. You will be very happy here. You need to get to the top restaurant and have a taste from the Michelin Chef menu, where you won't bother by where you sit, because the restaurant will rotate beneath your feet.

The location is not exactly the best in Kyoto where you are literally far from all attractions. You will need a taxi to move around, and luckily, the taxis are cheaper than Tokyo.

We chose it for the pool, and the Kyoto room including pool access worked for our family but the rules were a bit weird with their opening times 13.30-20.30 with a last entry at 18.30. Also one day it was too busy and we had to wait, but it ended up only being 10 min and they conveniently called our room when it was our turn. The room size was perfect, but beds were quite hard/pillows as well. It boasts 4 stars but the rooms need a bit of a facelift for the price/stars that it has. We were comfortable enough and the service was good. It’s handy that they have a free shuttle to Kyoto station leaving every 20 min from 9am, 17 seats..loaded in true Japanese fashion.

I recently stayed at RHIGA Kyoto Hotel and had an exceptional experience, primarily due to the outstanding staff, especially the front desk team. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly courteous, humble, and kind, and their excellent English made communication effortless. One day, I forgot to place the card on my room door to request cleaning, so the maintenance team didn't clean the room. They left a note explaining that cleaning is done between 10 AM and 2 PM daily. When I approached the front desk at 5 PM to request cleaning, the staff member handled the situation calmly and arranged for a temporary solution, even though the maintenance team had already left for the day. I regret not catching her name, but her exceptional service, hospitality, and kindness truly stood out. This level of customer service is the epitome of excellence and one of the main reasons I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being within walking distance of Kyoto Station. There are several convenience stores, restaurants, and even a popular temple nearby, making it an ideal place to stay. Overall, RHIGA Kyoto Hotel offers a perfect blend of excellent service and convenient location. Highly recommended!

More vegetarian options in the Breakfast Menu could make it better.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to be minutes away from Kyoto Central Station. The bed was very confortable, the tv very big, the room size overall good. We had a coffee machine and they supplied us daily with coffee and we loved that we could drink our coffee from bed everyday. The toiletries in the room were also great and diverse. We had access to the hotel pool and that was also great, big and very relaxing. Moreover, there are many very good restaurants accesible directly from the hotel.

The single thing which we did not like was that we did not receive any pijamas for sleep :) it was the single hotel in Japan where we stayed, in which we did not get pijamas…
