The hotel has a modern look and clean. There are washer/dryer machines that you can monitor status from the TV in room, very convenient. 7-11 connected to the hotel makes it easy for snack, drink, or breakfast. It is a short walk from JR station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They help us with the paperwork to deliver our luggage to our next stop. Even though they cannot speak English, they used translator APP to communicate with us. When we checked out, we asked them to keep the luggage until after lunch, the staff asked whether we need umbrella because it was raining. Very sweet!

The breakfast is average. Only if you got a good deal to include it in the room price; I won't pay extra 1800 for the breakfast. It is not too far from the JR station; however, you have to use the underground passage to cross the street from the station. If you have heavy luggage, it could be a hassle. When you come out the train station, you need to figure out how to go down to the underground passage. There are only stairs in front of the train station. You have to go through the shopping mall connected to the train station to find an elevator.

The hotel is a very short walk from Morioka (train) Station and overlooks the Kitakami River. Check in is easy and efficient. My Japanese is embarrassingly poor but the staff spoke sufficient English to answer all my questions and they have check in/check out machines which offer an English option. My room was bigger than I expected, and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, clean and modern. There is a self service coin-operated laundry on site, vending machines on most floors and a 7-Eleven right next to the lobby. There are many dining options nearby, some shopping options in the station complex, and the rest of Morioka lies a 5-10 min walk away over the river. The hotel buffet breakfast was great, too!

The front desk officer was such a germ helping us trough our check in. Even provided us with toothbrush set with room slipper for kids. She was polite and helpful and speak English very well. I forgot to her name but will come back because of her. The hotel location was a nice 5 minutes walk from station and 10 minutes walk to Aeon hyper mall which provides almost everything and the price is so cheap than Tokyo. Everything about Morioka was amazing and we will come back .

Absolutely nothing.

The hotel boasts a perfect location, just a short walk from Morioka Station. The room was impressively spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The buffet breakfast was a delightful highlight, offering a wide array of both Western and Japanese cuisine options to suit all tastes.

Daiwa Roynet is one of the better business hotel chains in Japan, and it shows. The type of free amenities provided (e.g. bath salts, moisturisers etc) was clearly on a different level compared to the other lower-tier business hotels we stayed on during this trip. Everything just looks that little bit more refined and upmarket. It is naturally more expensive than the other chains, but we managed to get it at a good price this time so it was great for us. Also loved that they had a conbini attached to the hotel which was so convenient for grabbing some late night snacks and then for a quick breakfast to go before setting off the next day.

Everything was great!

The location is excellent, just in front of the station. My room was spacious and beautiful. I got the chance to interact with the staff a lot throughout my stay. They were all extremely friendly and not shy about speaking English. Though a bit pricey, I did like the breakfast buffet and the conbini on the first floor is very convenient. I forgot some items and the staff dutifully retrieved them for me and mailed them to my home. It was an excellent stay, probably one of the best hotels I’ve been in in Japan.

Lovely hotel located within a short walk of the train station (note that you need to use the underpass to cross the road from the station, there is an elevator on both sides if you have luggage). The room was wonderful, lovely view across the river with the mountains in the background. The room was very clean, quiet, and a really good size. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel so it was a great location.

The bed was very, very firm- it was the only downside to my stay (I think the firm beds are standard at Daiwa Roynet hotels).

Space. It is a common comment how tiny Japanese rooms are. Daiwa Roynet Morioka has a surprisingly big room. Not only in terms of area, but also how the space is maximized. The toilet has clear seggregation between shower and others. Laundry. They have coin laundry so there is no need to find and go to one. Very near the train station

Some small, minor gripes: Need to plan how to get to the hotel if carrying large luggage. Area around the station is not pedestrian friendly. Crossing the streets is via a series of underpasses. There are elevators but need to find them No freezer function on the ref (just dont buy and store ice cream :D)

1. The view of the mountain range and the river from the room is amazing. Try to book the corner rooms so that you have 2 windows and 2 perspectives. The room has space for 2 armchairs and a table so you can sit and enjoy the view with coffee 2. Amenities like coffee/tea, bath salts etc are at the lobby so please take as needed 3. The 7/11 is downstairs and connected to the hotel, so it’s really convenient 4. The toilet/bathroom are very modern and clean 5. Take a short walk to the train station and Fesan shopping centre for the supermarket food court for dinner. 6. Stroll along the river as there are also al fresco food outlets 7. super convenience to walk to all the town centre places of interest and even to connect to the expressways 8. Hop on the Den Den Mushi bus to tour the city, the bus stop is 1 min away the hotel and the hotel provides you the bus route 9. there are 4 laundry machines and you can monitor them on the TV

Do note that it’s a mechanical parking system so get in early during high seasons to reserve your lot. But the alternative parking is like 20m away…so don’t worry

So well thought out. Extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was excellent, with so much variety. We loved the area - we ate at the amazing fish restaurant next to the hotel - down the steps to the basement-cozy, traditional. BEST sashimi I’ve ever tasted !
