I normally do not bother writing reviews but I was really surprised that this hotel was only rated 3 stars and I would like to say they definitely deserve more than 3 stars. The service and expectations was way over my expectations. Location are perfect and staffs definitely try their very best to help English speakers. They also offered a lot of free basic amenities that we did not expect. They provide recycle bag DAILY into the room and it is exceptionally useful throughout my whole trip even until my last transit back home. The free coffee provided was way better than those I bought from outside. Parking was really convenient as well, even if you do not get a spot, you get plenty of parking nearby, and the hotel will reimburse any extra that you have paid!!! We bought food from the supermarket and needed plates so that we can microwave, the hotel manage to provide everything we needed including cutleries.

Cleaners standard seems to be slightly different everyday, one forgot to empty our toilet bin on a night where we think we needed most BUT I would not fault anything at all.

They found my daughter’s bracelet that we left behind after we checked out and made an effort to send it to our next hotel. My children enjoyed the colouring activity at the lobby and the play area. We also enjoyed the free drinks and snacks.

There were only 2 washing machines and dryers so the waiting time was very long for availability. Also we had to miss the breakfast on our third morning before we checked out as the breakfast area was too crowded. Maybe there could be an option for a small breakfast bento for people like us who couldn’t afford to wait too long for the table and had to check out to catch the train or flight.

> The quieter side of Susukino, away from the bars/club but right on the smack of shopping strip Tanukikoji. You can get everything you need from there. I only wish I have more time to shop! > Lots of guide from the hotel's website on how to get on from Airport train to Sapporo Stn, then transfer to a local network, 2 stops to the station Susukino, nearest to hotel. From the station, is another 5-8 mins walks, underground, fully covered (lots of shoppings) before you exit the underground to the Tanukikoji. So is quite a nice walk. > There are free drinks and snacks for a fixed period of time, which we kinda like it. > walking distance (range of 5 - 15mins) to many of the local attractions i.e. odori park, shopping, TV towers. well connected with trains and tram, that brings you to other parts of Sapporo! > Room heating is perfect for winter, works really well.

xx - I stayed in the tatami room. There's a small window that cannot be opened. I suspect is not an actual window. xx - They don't clean the room everyday. Some days are "minor cleaning".

Location is excellent, close to Susukino Station. Airport transport is nearby. Bed is super comfy and loves the onsen after a long day. The best thing we like is they have connecting rooms, which is perfect for us (we have been travelling in a group of 5/6 people to Japan many times)

Breakfast is a "no no" comparing to all other Karaksa Hotel which I stayed previously. Pretty much the same brekkie every day, only 2/10 items are changes. If just a short stay is fine. We stayed there for about 8days, 4 days are booked thru elsewhere. We were so sick of the same food all the time, was hoping they can change it regularly. Onsen is good, but I think they should restrict young boys into female onsen. One of the family took a few kids there (mainly are boys) into Female Onsen. You can see them keep looking at every one there. I think this is not a good idea. Another suggestion is (not mandatory but nice to have) if they can help us moved our luggage into our rooms in advance (We left luggage there for storage, visiting other places).

1. The very friendly & helpful staff who spoke English 2. The cleanliness 3. The comfortable beds 4. The welcome drinks & desserts at the lounge 5. The onsen that is open long hours 6. The 24-hour reception 7. The central location- The back entrance opens out to Tanukkoji Shopping St 8. Ichiran is opposite the hotel 9. Air-conditioning can be adjusted to a temperature that suits.

1. Though an additional bed was put in since we had 3 persons, the room is meant for 2 persons. It was very tight & it was a challenge to manoeuvre around each other & our luggages. 2. No hooks or rails in the bathroom area for clothes or more than 1 towel. 3. Laundry area has 2 washing machines & 2 dryers. Washing machines have 30 min cycles which was great but the dryer takes at least 2.5 hours to dry even a few pieces of clothing. There was an inconsiderate guest who didn't collect his clothes & we couldn't offload it since there wasn't any laundry baskets.

Location was excellent. Super convenient for shopping, food, metro and bus to airport. The facilities were excellent. We used the onsen everyday and the lounge with snacks, drinks and small play area for the kids was super. The room itself was good. We used the seperate shower area for our baby bjorn travel cot and it worked great for the baby to get good sleep while the rest of the family stayed up.

The only thing was the annoying green light from the light switch next to your head on the head board. Totally nitpicking but a marvelous stay. Will return for sure.

The location of the hotel is well positioned and accessible (both by foot, train or car). On the other side of the hotel is the famous Tanukikoji Shopping Street, providing us access to both the pharmacy and great food selections. The in-house onsen is another great hit! Didn't expect a 3-star hotel to have an onsen that is so well furnished! Kudos to the team for rendering us such a fantastic Sapporo experience! Highly recommend this place to any visitors.

We ordered a triple room and the room was quite cramped given the remaining walking spaces. We didn't had many grounds to place our luggages, let alone walking around the room. The leisure room at 2F was great too! It would be awesome if only they could increase the number of washing machines and dryers in the launderette as they can be very occupied during peak hours with a turnaround wash time of an hour.

Great hotel! Super convenient location in the centre of Sapporo, with friendly and helpful staff and great facilities for guests to use! As well as being close to restaurants and nightlife, this hotel is just around the corner from an airport shuttle 'limousine' bus stop. When we arrived, there was a mix up with our room (we had been given a 2-person one instead of a 3-person), which was swiftly resolved by the lovely reception team!

The rooms are a little tight if you have a lot of luggage like we did, however for any bulky bags that you don't need to access during your stay (i.e. ski bags), the reception team allowed us to keep it in the luggage storage room :)

This hotel is next to the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. You can even walk from the JR Sapporo Station to the Hotel in the underground. This is very important in the cold weather. The room is very comfortable although it is a bit small for three of us. The public bath is very good especially after staying outside in the cold for the whole day. The breakfast is excellent with both Japanese and Western styles. You can even prepare a bowel of rice with sushi everyday. The staff are always helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the famous Tanuki Koji. Hence, it is easily accessible to many eateries and the shopping districts. Very close to the train stations and bus stations as well! Hotel staffs at the front desk are helpful, friendly and courteous. Mineral water was also generously given on a daily basis. Even if we put a “Do not disturb sign” the hotel staffs will still leave the water bottles on our door knob. I also like their modern bathroom interior with clean and new water tabs and basin, it is also plus point that they made the toilet and bathroom separated. Will definitely recommend to friends and stay in this hotel again in the future!

Laundry dryer is not working well and effective! The extra bed is not as comfortable as the regular bed.
