My room is Japanese style with private semi-open air onsen. The room is very spacious which have space to sit and enjoy a cup of tea for relaxing. With the price which we paid that, is more than valuable. Also this hotel is located in city center and you can easily find restaurants nearby and walk to the beach. Bus stop is nearby too. Very convenient for travelers. Staff could write in prefect English for my inquiry by email before my stay.

Nothing but it's not for someone who like to stay at a modern hotel. It's a hotel with some history.

Interesting experience staying at a Taisho-era hotel. We booked the room with the private onsen and didn't regret it as our room is spacious and well-maintained. The outdoor bath is a nice touch and the location is conveniently located next to Shirarahama beach. And there are plenty of restaurants nearby too.

The second floor onwards and the public onsen area looks a little dated and would definitely help if the management does a renovation to renew the interior in these areas. Would love to see this hotel continue on

It was right next to the beach. Room view was incredible. Size of room is reasonable. Spa was great! When booked it showed there was a swimming pool - which was a swimming facility next door but this facility closed permanently from the day I stayed so it was a shame as kids were looking forward to the pool and slides. The meal downstairs is much better than expected for the price we paid. I would not hesitate to recommend eating dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel. Much much cheaper than I was expected just the normal meal price in any shop with great quality.

All good.

The location is right at the Shirarahama beach - just walk across the street. The onsen is very large with indoor and outdoor sections. The hot foot baths in every room were quite relaxing, especially after a long day walking/running. The common kitchen area is very spacious where even 30 people can hang out together. There is a separate smoking lounge too.

The coin laundry dryer wasn't working very well.

One of the oldest hotels in the area. We enjoyed this hotel most so far in our month in Japan. The welcome by the staff was great and the hotel was just opposite the most beautiful beach. The room was lovely and comfortable considering it was Japanese style. The onsen was amazing and the communal area to cook and eat your dinner or breakfast was great.

They upkeep of such an old large hotel is really difficult but we could see that they were trying to make the communal area better.

This place was fantastic! It's right next to the beach and an easy walk to many attractions. The hotel is old but that's part of its charm. I loved having my own footbath on the deck overlooking the ocean. The room is very spacious and the bed was comfortable.

The toilet was a little cramped (to the point where it was hard to keep the toilet lid up) but really this was a minor issue since the rest of the room was huge!

The hotel is located right opposite the beach, great place to be while having your foot Onsen. The Onsen in the hotel is a great relief after a long drive. A bit disappointed that they did not open up the outdoor Onsen, but the indoor Onsen was great. There weren't many people in the Onsen the day I was there, so it was quiet and nice. The room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable.

Nothing.

Japanese style room that was really lovely. It was quiet. It was clean. It was comfortable. There was a shuttle service that picked us up and dropped us off. One staff member was particularly helpful in helping us send our bags ahead to the next town. Very nice young man. Would definitely recommend for a stay. Onsen was lovely. Highly recommend

It was a long long walk to our room with no help for bags up and down the stairs. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. That is really the only downfalls.

Great location - near to the beach, family mart, food options, and to a visitor centre where you can rent bikes. The room is abit dated but it's clean and big. My room had a small patio which was a nice touch. You can also use the onsen. Staff was helpful too.

The onsen facilities could be improved. The outdoor onsen could seem abit creepy at first as there are buildings around (though windows are blurred and closed). But the outdoor onsen is hotter and seems cleaner than the one indoors.

Breakfast wasn't part of the deal, shucks! I loved the shuttle to and from the train station, thank you! Loved the great location, right on the beach! And the onsen! And the helpful staff! And the tatami room!

The only thing I didn't like was the too small otearai (toilet room), too small even by Japanese standards, I think. I felt soOOO squished and kept bumping my head on the wall in front of me when I stood up from the toilet seat. I'm 5 feet 6 inches tall.
