This hotel is at a perfect location- 5 minutes walk to the JR station, subway, JR bus terminal and the pier. I set off 15 minutes before my ferry to Naoshima and Shidoshuma two days in a row. After a hot day on the island, I could just go back to my room and relax a bit before setting off for evening shopping/dining. It is also reasonably close to the main shopping area (15 minutes walk along the main road). You could also choose to take a bus there which costs 200 yen. For Ritsurin Garden, it is also easily accessible by subway or bus. The staff was friendly and professional. There was cleaning for my room every day. Though the hotel might not be very new, it is a superb place for you to enjoy a relaxing and moderately luxurious stay in Takamatsu. Not to mention the sea view from my room was just epic!

I could hear people walking on the floor above me at times. And perhaps the wooden furniture was not perfectly new, I could hear creaking noise at night (which was a bit scary at first).

I love that it was near the port and that made it very easy for me to take the ferry to the various islands. The room is small but sufficient and would have been great to look at the sea but since I did not book a room with a view, that is wholly my problem. Breakfast was nice but because I was rushing to catch the ferry, I did not explore the spread. The next time I will allow myself more time. Love the area.

The location is unrivalled for Takamatsu, just steps from the JR Terminus and right across the road from the ferry services. The local bus station as adjacent to the hotel also. There are plenty of friendly little izakiyas to explore nearby to indulge in the famous island specialty, udon. I was delighted with my room with a huge window looking down to the bustling ferry docks and beyond. The room was large, and very nicely appointed, although strangely it lacked an in-room safe. Maid service was timely, and unobrtrusive.

The inclusive breakfast was disappointingly underwhelming from a westerners perspective, way below the standard and variety you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre. The Japanese buffet seemed comparatively small also from what I have seen in similar standard hotels. Some carpet in the breakfast room was so filthy replacement would be the only option. My personal score would be 8/10.

The location was the best - I could walk to every place : Kitahama Alley, covered shopping mall. Sanuki udon , n view cherry blossoms at night at Castle grounds. I had bay view room n enjoyed my take away breakfast with their lovely tea n coffee n nice dishes in room. I arrived early afternoon for just one night so the location helped me to cover everything I had planned to see, do n eat I. That short time.

Great location near Takamatsu station and nice, comfortable room. Bathroom was lovely, breakfast was lovely and all the staff were also helpful and friendly.

We had a “sea and city view corner twin” but it was mostly city view- you had to crane a bit to see the sea and our view was less of the sea than the photo on the listing on booking.com In the UK it wouldnt have been sold as a sea view.

Perfect location and amazing views from the top floors. Very comfortable beds and rooms. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Parking in the basement was very practical. Try out the amazing Shiki restaurant,must book in advance as it's very small and you can taste freshly cooked local seafood and the famous waggyu beef, plus a great choice of sakes. The chef prepares everything in front of you: delicious and beautifully done too!

We enjoyed the central location, Once we exited Takamatsu Station, we could see the hotel. There was a covered walkaway - with buses accessibility and ferry terminals nearby. The station had a number of cafes and food eateries. The hotel had a pretty busy lobby - with a number of tour buses checking in. The lobby area has a pretty good bakery - we had some pastries whilst waiting for check-in. The room was a comfortable size. Breakfast was good - with a wider spread of Japanese dishes as well as some international food.

The bed was not as comfortable.

Hotel is just a hop, skip and a jump from the train station, and there are great sunrise views, and over the old castle grounds, from a higher room on its east side. Room is sizable and spotlessly clean, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. Check-in and check-out by friendly English-speaking staff is efficient. Not that we needed it, but check-out was up to midday, which is generous by local standards.

The room's shower had different settings, but none of them were particularly powerful.

Phenomenal location and really exactly what I was looking for as I traveled from another location to Naoshima Island, being steps away from the train station and the ferry. Easy walking distance from restaurants/ nightlife and the lovely Ritsurin Garden. Lobby and restaurant were superb and room was clean and well appointed if a bit sparse and shopworn, although not in ways that impacted my enjoyment.

These are absolutely quibbles, and admittedly perhaps more to do with what is standard to expect in a Japanese provincial capital than a knock on the hotel itself. Like everyone in Japan, hotel staff was absolutely kind and polite beyond words. That said, the level of English was fairly low and while fine for check in, was not sufficient to answer detailed questions about the area. Again, while I want to be respectful, I would say American/ European beds are notably more comfortable so I missed that as well. Ditto on my expectation for a hotel of this size to have a pool/ fitness center. Nothing I couldn't live without, just a matter of expectation that perhaps is uncommon outside of Tokyo.

We were given a high (19 th floor) corner room with excellent views over the harbour. The foyer can only be described as opulent, the staff very helpful , including coming to our room to assist us with a couple of issues.

The room was tight, necessitating us to rearrange furniture so that we had room for our 2 fold out clam-style cases.
