It was a great way to break up my trip from Tokyo to Osaka, going the northern route through Hokuriku. The hotel itself and the rooms were clean and good quality. And the price was fantastic. The breakfast was also delicious. I'll definitely stay there again. And next time I'll visit the spa next door.

Everything was great. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel. There isn't a lot to do around the station itself. But if you are just making a stop for the night on the way to somewhere else it's perfectly fine.

Super location for activities in the area like transit to skiing, cycling and sightseeing. Right next door to the Shinkansen Joetsumyoko station made for easy access to Lotte Arai ski resort and Kubiki rail trail. The castle park in Joetsu is worth a visit with a large school of Koi in the moat following you hoping for a feed as you cross the bridge.

Room size on the small size but given the great value price, location and short stay, it was perfect.

Toyoko hotel is very economical. Hotel is next to the Shinkansen station, and the area is quiet. Nice buffet style breakfast. Supermarkets are only 5 minutes away by car. The bathroom has a rain shower, or you can use the regular shower. The King bed was huge.

Parking. The parking lot was a little far to carry heavy bags; about 200m away which is exhausting after a long day on the slopes. However there is a place to offload your luggage in front of the hotel.

Location was perfect and check-in process was very easy. Only a short stay with late night check-in and early morning check-out. Room was a good price for what it offered but was a little small. Very easy access to the train station and friendly staff. Still relatively comfortable overall.

Was a little dated and slightly less room than expected.

Good value for money, hotel’s location and complimentary eat-all-you-can breakfast is super amazing and perfect. The staff were so nice and helpful.

The room is a little bit tight but I do understand. I would still recommend the hotel chain though.

Breakfast was great. very homey mum's taste, variety of menu. We really enjoyed staying there. The location was ideal. Close to the station. bathhouse, restaurant(ootoya).

Not much to complain. Maybe if you could serve hot black tea along side of coffee in the breakfast time.

The location is convenience as it’s just beside the station, clean and economical.

The breakfast is very unhealthy as they are all frozen or precooked foods so we didn’t eat their breakfast. But it was expected and fine as the breakfast is complimentary so we can’t complain.

It was a basic business hotel near the station. it was clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast in the morning was reasonably good. having the onsen and izakaya just across the street was good after a long day.

It was not so near a convenience store, which is rare in Japan.

Location is about as close to JoetsuMyoko station as you can get.. Easy walk even if you're dragging a big suitcase.

Breakfast was good - though very Japanese. Eating scrambled eggs with chopsticks is tricky.

A/C made a bit loud sound throughout the night, and it was kind of annoying, though my son didn’t care or notice at all.
