The location is just perfect, just one stop away from Chubu Airport by express train, about 10 minutes walk from Tokoname station, and in the middle of Tokoname famous pottery footpath route. Close to many cute cafes and pottery workshops, and Valor supermarket just few minutes walk. The old house turned into guesthouse is so lovely and cozy, love the atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen, friendly owner Shota who speaks very good English and willing to share about everything. Had a wonderful two night stay here and nice chat with other guests, defintely would love to stay again there.

Just keep in mind, it's a steep slope and uneven paved surface about 200m going up to the guesthouse, better avoid dragging heavy trolley luggage up and down. You can use coin lockers at the airport or JR stations to keep your lugagge costs about 300 to 700yen per day.

Comfortable place where you instantly feel at home. Managed by a Japanese-Swiss couple who have put a lot of love into this renovating and running the place. We particularly loved the open plan kitchen/communal area which blended a family friendly environment with a vibrant, sociable youth hostel vibe. Rooms are comfortable and sound proof (and baby proof). Lots of spaces to choose from to do yoga in the morning, and a there's good selection of books and toys for kids. Definitely book this guesthouse for your stay in Tokoname - it's not to be missed, and you'll probably end up wanting to stay longer!

The common area being so chic with antique Japanese house x modern art combo. It's very entertaining just to be there enjoying Japanese beauty. Also located in the ceramic town, so many cool arts on the street, co close to the airport !

The room was surrounded by bathrooms/shower rooms, wall very thin and I couldn't sleep well.. Better if a room for a guest is away from those common facility.

The hosts (Shota and Elisa) as awesome. They are so friendly and easygoing. The rest of guests were also so friendly. The place is amazing. And it felt as home. They have everything you might need and more!

The place was hard to find the night I checked in, and the hill is steep haha. But the neighborhood is so lovely that I wouldn't change the location. I can't find anything wrong.

The owner speaks great English and his wife speaks French! The place is perfectly clean. The owner keeps exceptional tidiness everyday! I was impressed with their work. The WiFi is fast and stable. The bed is comfortable and spacious enough. Located right in the middle of the pottery path (main attraction) Well equipped kitchen and family mart 3 minutes away.

The host is very friendly and help me a lot when dealing with my luggage issue. Other guests are all nice and polite. The surroundings are extremely beautiful and calm.

The guesthouse sits in a hill region with lots of lanes. It takes some time to find it, and the paths are quite steep. Huge luggage could be a problem.

The environment, the host:) The host Mr. Shota was so kind that he did not charge late check-in fee since there was delay service on the Meitetsu train.

Keep in mind there is a little uphill from the station so bringing big suitcases might be a little difficult. You can store them in coin locker at the station.

One of the nicest buildings I’ve stayed at, the staff was friendly and helpful, it really felt home-like. Just the design is enough to recommend the hostel for, but the location and equipment is not to forget!

The wifi was a bit slow in my bed but that didn’t take away from the experience. 10/10 still!

The owners are so accomodating and are lovely to chat to. They have crafted the most amazing guesthouse in such a beautiful town. The guesthouse has such a great atmosphere with everything you would need in the kitchen, and many areas to relax after exploring town.
