I chose Khweza from a website review because I needed somewhere to stay that suited my budget. However the staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.. even my suitcase which was delayed at CAIRO was collected from the airport with care when it arrived in Nairobi. I had a friend to visit me and we had meals at odd times during the day, and they were delicious at any time of day, and served with kindness, grace, and courtesy. Well done everyone, I recommend Khweza B & B very highly .. Thank you all for a wonderful welcome stay in Nairobi .

Fantastic staff. We had a small confusion that Ken on reception handled extremely professionally and positively. Clean and charming building interior. Breakfast had good choices and it was so nice to be up high on the terrace. A real bonus. There's a dinner menu with drink avail. Reasonably priced. Our room had external windows which is impt to me. Some rooms have internal windows over the courtyard. There is a great cafe/bar with good espresso nearby (250 metres down the road beside Sarakasi Dome - turn right as you leave the guest house). It's a 20min walk into town navigating busy traffic and crowded streets w lots of stalls. An experience in itself!

The Khweza is a good affordable friendly stop for several days in Nairobi. The room was clean and everything worked. WiFi worked through out including the great roof top patio with city views, decorated with plants and a place to have a cold beer in the hot afternoon. Breakfast and dinner menu items were delicious prepared in the on site kitchen where there were wonderful aromas of good cooking every time I passed it. The staff was helpful in directions and organizing local tours. There is an onsite travel agent. Located within walking distance to several local markets, the museum and downtown. Little shops line the street that close at night. The actual street may appear a little daunting at first glance for first time travelers. The other travelers I met at the Khewza were families with small children, solo females and adult groups.

If noise is a problem ask for a room not facing the street. Trucks parked across the street start early in the morning. It was not too bad.

The staff was very nice. I loved the Rooftop where you can order some drinks and food and just enjoy the evening. I loved the delicious and big breakfast. The location is what we were looking for. The authentic experience of Nairobi. During the day it is safe to walk around the neighbourhood. So we had a nice walk in the City Centre. During the night we were advised not to walk around the neighbourhood. So in the evenings, we stayed on the rooftop had some drinks, meet some other travellers and observed the neighbourhood from above. You can book a taxi or Uber which pick you up just in front of the gate, though. We felt very save all the time of our stay at Kweza. The place is open 24/7. I would say good value for the money. And a good place for backpackers. We would book again.

We booked a shuttle from the airport to the Khweza at 3 AM. Due to some technical issues that didn't work out, so we had to take a taxi. This wasn't such a problem as there are plenty of taxis at the airport and you can also call an Uber.

The rooftop restaurant was amazing and so was the breakfast. You could order breakfast from your phone the evening before, lots of choice, along with when, and the restaurant also had a selection of meals, beers, snacks and wine. The staff left us a little surprise in our room for our honeymoon as well. We had a mosquito net around our bed.

The area is a bit interesting for first time travelers to Nairobi. Essentially if you want to go out at night, order a Uber. The fact that the hotel has a restaurant is quite useful and we ate there most nights.

Friendly Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay pleasant from the moment we arrived. Great Rooftop: The rooftop area was a highlight. Although we had to check out early for a flight and couldn't enjoy the breakfast, we did order drinks and food in the evening. The quality was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable, adding great value to our experience. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the friendly staff and delightful rooftop experience, but the shower drainage issue needs attention to improve the overall comfort and safety of the bathroom.

Shower Drainage: The shower had drainage issues, causing the catchment area to fill up and overflow onto the bathroom floor. This made the floor very wet and slippery, which was inconvenient and could be hazardous.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Central location near to Cbd. Serve breakfast and dinner and sell some drinks too.

Slippery floor when it rains because rain comes in the hotel as the courtyard and balcony part is an open area. Can be noisy because of the design of the hotel and also central location. Sometimes neighbours working at the back alley till 2am. Not the hotels fault but it's the location. Hot water can be temperamental in some rooms.

Lovely bed and breakfast, the most amazing and kind staff, and great food served on the cosy rooftop terrace! I loved my time at Khweza and will definitely stay again if I'm back in Nairobi. They also have their own tour and safari company, making it very easy to organise excursions and safaris and to get advice on things to do in Nairobi and surroundings. The B&B is in the upper floors of the building in a bustling neighbourhood, a short drive or 20 min walk from Nairobi National Museum.

Breakfast had to be ordered in advance through the app, but it was not difficult. The breakfasts and also the dinners at the hotel were very tasty, exceeded our expectations! The hotel has a beautiful rooftop, where it was pleasant to enjoy a meal and a view of the city. The staff was helpful and everything agreed went perfectly. Mistress of Khweza Peris' recommendation to visit Bomas (an open-air museum with houses of different tribes and dance performances) was especially nice. We recommend ordering this at the hotel's travel agency, next to the receptionist's desk.

The drinking water sold in the hotel in 1L bottles could be a little cheaper.

My stay at the Kweza Bed and Breakfast in Nairobi was thoroughly enjoyable, and it ticked all the boxes for a comfortable, budget-friendly accommodation. Located in a convenient spot that made exploring the city a breeze, Kweza was an ideal base for my Nairobi adventures. The affordability of the stay was a major plus, providing great value without compromising on comfort or essentials. But what truly set Kweza apart was the staff; their warmth and hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived until my departure. Their attentive service and genuine kindness contributed significantly to the overall positive experience of my stay.

Given the overall positive experience at Kweza Bed and Breakfast in Nairobi, there was genuinely not much to dislike. The minor imperfections encountered were vastly overshadowed by the positives, such as the excellent location, affordability, and the warmth of the staff. These strong points made any drawbacks seem negligible, contributing to a stay that was, on the whole, really good and memorable for all the right reasons.
