A genuine 5 star luxury hotel. Lots claim to be this but not many actually are ! The staff are polite and always helpful. Always available without being intrusive. A beautiful room with comfortable bed, touch lighting and all you would expect like room safe, minibar, tea & coffee making etc Effective air conditioning and windows that can be opened. Bathroom was perfect and even had a heated toilet seat ! Convenient garage below the hotel and concierge service upon arrival and departure. The housekeeping staff did a comprehensive job too. My wife used the spa and she said it was excellent. A brilliant stay, thoroughly recommended, hope to return. Can’t comment on the breakfast or restaurant as we ate out in the old town.

Room was really spacious and so well-equiped with lots of electrical and charging outlets, all light switches were labeled, and with nice bedlinen and toiletries. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located to all in Lux city and places to walk, etc.

Breakfast was expensive for the value, but so much is expensive in Lux, so perhaps on par. More fresh fruit please.

All around, a lovely hotel. Room, bar, and restaurant were all excellent! Extremely thoughtful room layout and all of the little details in the room were excellent, e.g. closets with full-length mirrors on the door, heated towel racks at the end wall of the shower so that you didn't need to step out to get your towel, a non-fog mirror at the sink, and more.

It’s quite old, needs some rennovation

Very modern room with touch button controls. Very comfortable. The breakfast was with a very wide variety of choices from hot food, continental, and extensive range of other foods. The reception staff were very friendly, speaking multiple languages.

On day two of our stay the room keys stopped working and one of the rooms was not cleaned until 16:30 meaning we could not return to the room. The reception staff mistakenly thought we had checked out. The restaurant is modern and clean but that is it. The staff were very attentive to the guests that wore suits, they poured their wine, and checked in on them regularly. My family however, were not. We tried a second night and booked for a room on their terrace. On arrival we were told we could not sit outside as it was too cold at 20 degrees. We were agin left asking for service.

Very spacious accommodation, both communal parts of the hotel and the room. Some nice touches (chocolate left on pillow in the evening), really lovely staff. Ideal location for everything in the city.

Spa/health suite a bit dated and not the same feeling of space there was in the rest of the hotel. But it in no way spoilt our experience. Probably a bit pricey compared to other European cities, but found Luxembourg pretty pricey across the board.

The smell, the ambience, rooms were a lovely size and loved the touch socket for lights etc

Loves everything but if I had to fault anything it was minor and it was the chairs in the lounge area were really uncomfortable to sit in. I like a nice soft lounging chair that hugs you these were hard and slippery but of great quality none the less. Just a personal preference as you asked.

The location and facility was quite central to the many things that we hoped to see. Easy walks to Notre Dame, monuments, bridges, and old town. Restaurants and shopping was quite close as well, and we enjoyed a very nice meal and breakfast. I will likely return in the future!

Parking was an inconvenience. I went to garage as directed and was given a ticket to proceed. Zero spots available and three underground levels. Many spots had grease pen names or reservations written on signs - but zero spots even though it permitted entrance. Several trips around the block and valet parking fixed the issue! A very minor inconvenience, but a frustrating nonetheless.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous central location, close to the Christmas Market, to the restaurants and the shopping. Room was very good, super comfy bed, clean and air conditioned. Staff were amazing, helpful, courteous and fun. We were there for New Years and danced to the fab DJ until 3am!!

A bit too expensive to get a 10, but a definite 9! We will be back.

The spa was amazing!

The mini bar and snacks in the room where unreasonable priced. For example: mixed nuts for 8 euros..it seems that luxury at Le Royal is about money instead of class, which is the opposite of being chique. Shame, in this way Le Royal places itself (as a 5 star hotel) into the 'Hostel' category. True luxury comes in the form of offering exceptional hospitality & additional services complimentary, not by selling mixed nuts for 8 euros, you are not Easyjet. If you need the money, just raise the price per room by 8 euros.
