Communication was fantastic. we were met at the door and shown our room. The entrance as others have said is let’s say different but once through the door everything is perfect. Instant answers to questions and needs. comfy clean bed, excellent air con. Great shower. couldn’t fault it.

It’s just the approach but having said that some people have commented that the area is dodgy. I wouldn’t agree with that. Everyone we met were friendly and we didn’t feel at all threatened. It’s just a very local area.

Firstly the host was so attentive. Each day, making sure, via whats app, that everything was OK and even suggesting things to do around the area. The room was modern and very clean . Touch lighting, electric blind and a fully lit bathroom mirror. Even a mobile phone battery pack was supplied for use during our stay. The air conditioning was very good and it had the best WiFi we have had on our travels The room was a little smaller than we had been used to but we easily managed our way around that. The location is excellent with plenty of restaurants around the area. I would recommend this accommodation.

It is on the second floor of the building and the initial bag carrying was quite hard but they did offer assustance if required, so this is only a minor point

Great communication from host through WhatsApp. Location is very close to restaurants and markets. There were many special touches and the bed was extremely comfortable ! We were able to check in early which was very appreciated. Air conditioner works great and rain shower. Good wifi and lighting

The room is small and awkward feeling - not sure if it was just our room layout but there was a short hallway to the window.

It feels so luxury when you’re inside the room. Comfortable bed and pillows, cold fridge, nice shower with a foot shower setting which is convenient. Nice hairdryer it was nice

Can hear other people in their room and also alot of mosquitoes in our room and other bugs on the bed. We used the communal insect spray from the hall and then requested a room clean which we received but the bugs were still all over the floor after

Apparently these residence just started, which is crazy because they are amazing in communication. If I had a question, they answered me within 5 minutes. We travel a lot and this is one of the better accommodations we had.Very clean, good beds, amazing showers, good location. We had a very pleasant stay! Highly recommended!

If I really need to say something, it is a bit hard to find in the beginning BUT Vinah will text you clear instructions. The hall would seem a bit strange in the beginning but the appartements are so nice so it won't even bother you.

Very nice room in a great location. We were checking in late and the owners arranged for the staff to welcome us in the evening. High quality toiletries were provided and beautifully presented, nice touches that made us feel like we were staying in a luxurious hotel. Exceptionally clean, very good wi-fi. Having travelled to almost 50 countries, we felt the standard was very good and we would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting KK. We booked 3 more nights when we are back in KK as it is the best place we stayed in Borneo, great value for money. Thank you.

Everything was perfect

Normally I don’t rate a stay a 10/10 (I travel often), but this time AJ residence proved that they deserve the 10/10. Firstly, the communication was perfect, they responded very quickly and I felt very welcome with their messages. The room was comfortable and very clean, I mean very very clean and not a bit of dust! Amenities was great and nothing was missing. The staff was very kind and they make sure you feel home, that’s their motto. The location was great, lots of shops, eateries, malls, nightmarkets nearby. Perfect location I stayed in the AJ Residence and also the AC Residence, both in the same area, identical rooms and comfort. Very confortable and nicely decorated room. I appreciated the fridge, the electric rolling shutter with remote control, the modern lighting with sensitive switchers. And above all: the most proactive and responsive communication with a residence’s manager I’ve ever had. Really worth the price.

The room was very modern and comfortable. The communication via Whattsapp was very good. There was a lot of information and a reply came immediately. The price-performance ratio is great. Only a few minutes walk to the waterfront. Restaurants , Orange and 7-Eleven are all nearby. Check-in and check-out were uncomplicated. Toiletries, coffee, hair dryer and even a power bank were available. Sockets are universal and with USB connection. Toilet and shower are separated from each other. The Bed was very comfortable. Thanks to Alex, Irene and Vinah! We can definitely recommend it.

kudos ! superb cleanliness, provided with sanitizer and mask. by far its one of my top 3 best-room-to-go in KK. the host was really welcoming and helpful. unique and luxurious interior, comes with charming yet comfy vibe. the bed was super comfortable, the shower was perfect, the amenities provided was more than you could ask for. its worth more than you pay. in a nutshell, this place is hidden gem.

nothing major, i would say the soundproofing need to be improved but i do understand that huge renovation will be done for that. but again, there is nothing not to like about this place. come and experience it for yourself.
