The staff is very welcoming and the check-in process is detailed with all the necessary information to have a nice stay and enjoy the island. The room is well-equipped with air conditioning and hot water. The included breakfast has a variety of foods to choose from. In the resort, there is a restaurant with good food, including vegetarian options, and friendly staff. There is also a diving center with very professional and attentive personnel. All the dives were very well organized, and they always make you feel safe and make sure you have fun. For me, the location was great because it is situated right at Coral Bay and you have easy access to other nearby beaches as well as Long Beach on the other side of the island.

I like that we did not have to walk very far from the jetty. I like the friendly staff -- and the cafe was very nice. The food served at the cafe is really nice..and I can lepak at the cafe --reading book --drinking coffee...excellent stay!

The facility could create more water sources outside for visitors to wash their feet, it would be great. This will make it easier for us to wash our feet and room will be cleaner.

First line access to the sea. Fantastic dive center (best we've ever seen). Amazing friendly staff. Really doing their best. The room is not luxury per se, but a nice one given that we're on an island.

No specific "beach" area for lounging, you just walk to the waterfront. The sea itself is pretty shallow.

All the staff were incredibly warm and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay at Ombak, it was comfortable, clean and had a lovely atmosphere- which I appreciated as a solo female traveller. The movie nights in the evening were a lovely way to relax too after a full day diving!

10 out of 10 to the ladies in reception. Gerat customer service. 8 out of 10 for the room. Its a bit small but who goes to the Perhentians to stay in the room all day 5 out of 10 for the breakfast. Overall though enjoyed my stay even though the price was a bit high to what you get but its on an island so have to expect to pay a bit more

Compared to the standard budget-accomodations that you can find in Kecil, Ombok stands for its better quality: rooms are clean and comfortable and the standards do meet the western expectations (even though the word "resort" can be misleading - please do not expect the Marriot here). The staff is AMAZING (big shout out for the female receptionists) and goes above and beyond to help you out and make you feel home; they also help to reserve boat trips (with same prices of outside providers). The location is definitely great too as being in the quiet Coral Bay in front of the jetty is only a 10 minute walk to Long Beach

The barthrooms are very basics (e.g open shower, very small sink, etc) and could definitely be improved in the future. The price is a bit higher for what you get but it's still worth it

We moved rooms a couple of times during our stay, we got a lovely large room, comfy bed, good mosquito net, air con, bathroom. Thank you. Breakfast, they have a chef cooking eggs as you like, there are western and local choices available, also, toast, butter and spreads, fresh cut fruit. Long Beach is a 15 minute walk away, fantastic swimming with everything you need. Ombak have an outdoor movie overnight which is great. They arranged a snorkelling day trip for us it was excellent.

Can't think of anything worth mentioning.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Better accommodation than the rest of Coral Bay. Mosquito curtain in beds. Free refillable water at the café (not self administered though, you depended on the staff to do it for you). Very close to the jetty, so if you have a suitcase you don't have to roll it along the beach.

Pricey regarding the prices in some other parts of Malaysia. Breakfast is buffet but has very little variety (and no milk available for coffee or tea) Expensive café compared to the ones you can find in Long beach (10 min walk from the hotel), and quite frequently they run out of ingredients (possible to pay with card though) 100 ringit (or 20€) cash deposit (refunded at checkout)

Im surprise with this resort, very near to the jetty once reached the island. Around 10mins to long beach. The room is clean with 24hrs electricity peovided. The receptionist very patiently explained everything and reminding me the safety while playing along the beach. The waiters and the staff from the cafe were super friendly. There will be open air cinema every night with different movies which made my kids really happy with that too. The breakfasts served are good, the food of the cafe is well cook too. Overall im happy with the stay.

Im worried the mosquitoes most, but luckily they provided the electric mosquitoes repellant, which reduce the chances of bites. It would better if they provide some place we could wash our feet before entering the room after coming back from beach.

My husband and I visited Ombak Dive Resort during our honeymoon. The staff prepared a beautiful honeymoon room for us. The stay completely exceeded our expectations. The biggest plus was the staff, who were happy to recommend beautiful places to visit and give us useful tips for experiences and adventures, were very accommodating to our early arrival and were always very kind and nice. The room was smaller, but cozy, authentic and clean, as was the entire resort. The resort also has a great restaurant with amazing food. Among other things, they are also happy to fill you with drinking water. We definitely recommend and would love to come back here someday.
