Service was excellent and very friendly. Room size was enormous, view was good, especially watching the 5 hour queue on Sundays when it seemed the population of Malta was trying to get home.

The garage, a nightmare not only to get in and out but very space limited at times. Breakfast items sometimes a little strange, for example chips on one day, peas and sweetcorn on another. The coffee machines would spout boiling water at times. The Grand is obviously a very old hotel and a bit past its best, shower a nightmare to adjust, one second boiling hot and the next freezing cold and the toilet needing two or three flushes. Some of the furniture was looking a bit worn with frayed edges on the chairs.

The location was perfect for our needs. We were able to walk to the hotel from the ferry. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. We had the room with country view but it was still beautiful. Beautiful view of Church of the Madonna of Lourdes and part of the harbour and ocean. The indoor pool was very relaxing and big. Gozo is special!

We were switched to a room at the front of the hotel which had a wonderful view of the harbour. It was lovely to sit on the balcony, in the sun, in December and watch the ferries come and go. The walk along the cliffs from the hotel was beautiful as was the view across to Malta.

There were a few little things in the room/bathroom that could have been cleaner. The wifi was really bad in Room 311 which was frustrating as one of the reasons we booked this hotel was because it had free wifi in all the rooms. I needed to use it for work and found it kept dropping out.

Great view to the harbour. Close to public transport and restaurants (on the way down to the ferry). We had a newer room on the 8th floor; large with a balcony and nice bathroom. Bed was fantastic. Staff were very friendly: Pushkar and Albi are very attentive barmen, and Ramesh from housekeeping did some towel art on the bed one morning, which was sweet.

Some parts of the original hotel still feel unfinished - these details are noticeable. You have to walk past unloved rooms and crumbling corners to get to the lifts. It makes you think of faded glories. The outdoor bar area on the steep street is noisy. A bar upstairs on the roof (I think they’re building a restaurant up there so maybe there’ll be a bar up there too) would be away from traffic and much quieter.

We have stayed here couple of times before and because of a good experience of this hotel, it’s easy to come back here again. Every time you arrive, you feel welcome at the hotel. This time we had a room in the new part of the hotel with the balcony and the harbor view. The service in the restaurant in the morning and in the evening was very fast and the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and everything was first class. Our housekeeping personnel prepared a lovely surprise for us. Thank you once again Ramesh, it was really nice.

We booked a seaview room with balcony and it was located in the new wing of the hotel. It looked exactly as pictured on Booking.com. Huge room, enormous bathroom, comfy beds, spectacular view. The check-in was super-friendly. We were invited to sit down in the lobby and were served complimentary flutes of fresh orange juice while the receptionist gathered our information and we did the paperwork. I had a spa treatment with Kristina and she was fantastic. We also tried the Level 9 restaurant, which was a luxurious culinary experience with attentive staff and inventive, delicious food.

We really enjoyed our stay. We upgraded to a sea view room after booking and were so glad we did as the view of the harbour was lovely and the balcony was massive. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The pool was always quiet which was great and gets the sun in the morning, the sun sets behind the hotel so most of the sunbeds are in the shade in the evening. The bar food was lovely.

The breakfast was poor but we didn’t mind as we only had it on morning and then ate elsewhere the other days (it wasn’t included in our room rate so we paid €12 each that day). Everything else was perfect for us!

The spacious room and it's facilities!! The location and view, the breakfast, the BBQ buffet, the big outdoor pool, friendly staff..... We really loved it and will return!!

Some parts of the hotel were not accessible with wheels -in our case for a stroller (maybe due to some renovations going on) like the roof. We booked for the BBQ night on the roof (which is delicious!!) but close by 9.30-10pm on a Friday night, in summer when the Sun is still out till 8.30pm leaves too short a time to enjoy the BBQ buffet calmly out of the heat. Also, ordering food and drinks by the pool is inefficient, when it is so hot guests will be definitely ordering drinks and for the staff to reach everyone in a timely manner is impossible.

Really pleasant stay in a charming convenient location to get to and from and see the island. Easy to access free parking beneath the hotel. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of various fresh cold and hot foods as a buffet. Option to have breakfast outside in the sunshine 🌞 Comfortable and clean room efficiently cleaned whilst at breakfast on days requested.

Mushrooms were only available for breakfast on the final day of our stay. Nothing really negative to feedback. He found that we were held up at reception passing through with too many questions and conversation. That's his lack of patience not the fault of friendly staff alone at the desk.

The room is a great size. The view of the bay is great and the bathroom is spacious. It was super-clean. I have a dust mite allergy and this is the first hotel room in many years where I wasn't sneezing in the morning. It was cleaned daily and always before I came back from breakfast. The staff were always helpful, and the two issues I had were dealt with quickly and efficiently with no disruption to me.

The price of the 'regular laundry' services is excessive.
