Hidden paradise with exceptional hosts. Clive and Luidmila made you feel more like family than visiting guests from the moment you arrived, and the staff were outstanding; nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and comfortable with gorgeous decor and a balcony which looked over the pool. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well and was virtually silent. We arrived in Malta in the middle of an heat-wave with temperatures of 36 degrees, so we were very grateful for this. The pool and bar area was a haven of calm and we were provided with delicious complementary snacks and fresh water whenever we were poolside. Breakfast was delicious with a very good buffet selection and freshly cooked hot breakfast, accompanied by endless cups of tea and coffee, all served in beautiful china cups and mugs. The decor throughout the hotel was exceptional, everything was beautifully and carefully thought out and selected, even down to the fresh flowers. The hotel is a little isolated from the island’s main attractions, which we didn’t mind as we’d spent the previous five days in a busy and sweltering hot Valletta; however Luidmila explained to me how to use the Bolt taxi app and we found it a simple and a cheap way to get to other parts of the island. On our last day we decided to stay in the hotel and enjoy the facilities; we were planning to eat out that evening but during the day Clive had supplied us with so much delicious bruschetta and ciabatta (I also had tea and cake) that we didn’t bother going out and stayed in bar area until the sun went down, playing cards, enjoying drinks and conversing with other guests and the lady tending the bar; it was a truly magical day/evening. We can’t praise Lulu’s enough. We loved the whole experience and we hope to return one day

This amazing gem is located in such a quaint and quiet area. We were warmly greeted by Clive, such a wonderful host! He makes you feel like family. Our suite was just out of this world! So much attention to detail, so nice and freshly smelling, and so comfortable. The jacuzzi feature was just incredible. Breakfast was out of this world! Clive was so nice and prepared such a wonderful and abundant breakfast for us. He allowed us to hang around after check-out time and also prepared a wonderful cocktail for us to enjoy before leaving. Met briefly with Liudmila, who was also extremely nice!

Liudmila and Clive are the consummate hosts, their warmth and kindness make an imprint in every single aspect of their hotel. From the beautiful breakfasts, to their suggestions for activities and general friendliness and care, our stay could not have been better. Their hotel was an oasis in a packed week of activities and sight seeing. We were so impressed with the warmth and care that they put into their accomodations. Everything was top notch- from linens to towels to even their toiletries, everything is very high quality. Clive was always available with a drink or snack when we returned from our excursions. It is located in a quiet nook of the island that we all really enjoyed. The hotel itself is very quiet and relaxing. We highly recommend this hotel.

Parking was a nightly adventure- but well worth it!!

What the delightful Clive and Liudmila have achieved cannot be underestimated. Lulu is a beautifully-appointed, tastefully-designed gem in the centre of Malta, staffed by lovely people such as Antonella. Lots of absurdly expensive corporate hotels try, and ultimately fail, to do what they have done - often employing countless designers and consultants in the process. Why? Because Lulu is driven by passion and not by spreadsheets. My only caution would be that parking can sometimes be tricky, but DO NOT let that put you off. It IS surmountable. I may never go to Malta again, but if I did this is the little oasis in which I would stay. Undoubtedly in my top five of hotels anywhere.

A perfect oasis, Lulu exceeded all expectations I had. Clive and Liudmila are the friendliest and most helpful hoteliers I've ever met. Every corner of the hotel is wonderfully decorated, the pool area is amazing to relax in, just reading, having a drink, or taking a dip. The breakfasts and snacks they had on offer were wonderful quality and the range was fantastic. Cocktails were well made and the variety of craft beer was also impressive. It was very difficult leaving this place and I can't wait to return.

I’ve traveled much of my adult life for work and this oasis easily ranks a perfect 10 out of 10. It ticks all the boxes including value. How this unassuming & hospitable gem even exists is beyond comprehension. The decor and history and friendly owners outranks anything I have ever experienced. The remodel and planning should have been featured in a design channel documentary. It pains me to even write such a glowing review for fear word will get out. I’d much prefer this be my little secret. A perfect all around experience firing on all cylinders.

The Hotel is simply amazing, far more than we expected! The attention to detail for the décor and facilities is of the highest standards possible while retaining a unique and homely feel. From the moment of our arrival the service was impeccable, friendly, helpful and happy to answer any queries and offer recommendations. Our room was wonderful, from the plunge pool like jacuzzi to the amazing attention to detail to everything from the steel façade on the pizza oven flue, to the sinks in the room (WOW), the incredibly comfortable beds and the feeling of space and light! The breakfasts were fantastic, lots of choice from the buffet, including local dishes and some tasty Danish's , cold breakfasts included salads with tasty local cheese and meats along with a very good hot breakfast selection (bacon, eggs, omelets, sausages etc) all available and cooked incredibly well. All members of the team deserve praise as they make you feely truly welcome and Clive is an exceptionally proud host, as he should be!

The only thing I didn’t like is the fact we waited so long to go! The location may be remote for some, however, there are restaurants within walking distance and there 2 Taxi Apps that provide quick service to Valletta and the island as a whole at very good rates so this was not an issue for us, we liked the relative quiet after our stay in Valletta.

This is the most AMAZING hotel - one of the best we have stayed in. We were a family of four (two young children) and couldn’t have been happier. The decor is stunning, the bedrooms super roomy and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with a brilliant shower. An extra touch with L’Occitane toiletries too :) The location was great - easy walking distance for restaurants and Mdina only 8 mins drive. Breakfast was incredible - great selection of pastizzi, fruit, yoghurt and cake then eggs, sausages and a continental platter too. The pool area is beautiful and welcome relief after the heat of the day. The best bit was the service! Clive and Lou were the most incredible hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so lovely and welcoming to the children. They were happy for the kids to play and splash in the pool and had pool toys ready for them. In the evening, Clive made some delicious meat on the BBQ and gave it to us to try - we hadn’t realised it was complimentary - would have loved to have paid! Staying in a hotel with young children isn’t easy but the team made it super enjoyable. I would love to come back here again as a couple and explore the area more. Incredibly unique stay and would recommend a thousand times over.

My only complaint is that we couldn’t have stayed longer!

We had stayed at this little gem for 1 night. We are pampered with the welcome drink by the pool which was a great surprise. Owner is very friendly and make sure our stay is as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Room décor is the highest which is very rare to come by and even the toiletry they offer is L’Occitane which make you revive your energy and relax. The breakfast they offer is also highly sought after to match this high-quality Boutique Hotel. They would offer selection of buffet menu in addition to the hot cooked meal which is beyond my expectation. Highly recommended
