The time I spent at the JW Marriot was literally one of the best experiences I had. This was my honeymoon trip and I wanted everything to be perfect. I am extremely thankful that Neha and her team made sure this is what happened. From welcoming me and my wife to the trips we took with the hotel and the experiences we had inside the hotel were unforgettable. The service and restaurants were really amazing . Fantastic and idyllic location with breathtaking views across the ocean. Enjoyed the complimentary watersports especially the kayaking! Some staff members went out of their way to make our stay memorable and comfortable: Hema, Chef Sanjay, Baba, Lucinda and our butler Garry. Chef Sanjay prepared a delicious dinner. Wonderful library, games rooms and very comfy seats in the cinema. The indoor activities are definitely required as it does rain intermittently.

The hotel is an amazing part of the island but needs a renovation. Some staff are quite grumpy especially the check-in and check out staff. They did not create a warm welcome nor a friendly departure and need training. Some of the "buggy drivers" were also very moody. The restaurants are also overpriced and could do with a revamping of their menus.

- professional staff - Very friendly and helpful staff - beautiful beach - great room sizes - specifically one staff member (female) who worked at the pool & also at the beach. She always ended her phrases with "certainly sir/ma'am". She was AMAZING! When she was around, we knew, we would get excellent service. Thanks to the entire staff for making this vacation a relaxing, memorable & unforgettable moment.

This hotel and staff are a 10 out of 10. There were absolutely no negative points to be mentioned but maybe some helpful tipps on some very small adaptions: - since this is a private beach/hotel i think external parties shouldn't fish or sunbath in the hotel area - cleaning was excellent but the capsules in the coffee-machine weren't removed, we did it ourselves. - mini bar refill staff, water refill staff & cleaning personell should do the rooms at the same time. - beach bar, (the bar closer to the villa) has some issues. Food / drinks we ordered never arrived but glasses with ice arrived. Happened 2 times, unfortunately our favorite staff member (female) wasn't there.. but the staff member that worked on those days were chatting behind the bar. So no busy time.

everything! the beach was beautiful, as well as the restaurants, pool area, sports area (gym & tennis court) and the buildings and surroundings. we loved the complementary snorkeling, kayaking, glass bottom boat etc. offering. everything was well maintained and clean. the staff was super friendly (exceptional!). the resort feels very private and we felt very much taken care of. it was the perfect start to our honeymoon! we want to come back and can 100% recommend this beautiful resort!

there could be some more vegan food options, the food is very expensive in general (we had 200€ per day in food roughly), for the price you pay we would have expected some more honeymoon specials and in some areas of the property you can tell that it’s not a new resort (but you do not bother because it’s really clean).

Can’t go wrong with JWM🫶🏼🫶🏼 Such an extraordinary stay with top service and great overall experience from the room to the staff to the restaurants.. oh and the beach!!!😍 Highly recommend to stay if you’re looking for a nice location with a beautiful beach and sunset. The rooms are spacious, and would highly recommend to get one with a beach view, can’t miss! All the staff are really kind and considerate.. words cannot describe but you will definitely enjoy every aspect of your stay here.

Food quality could be improved, only this🙏🏼

This was an absolutely amazing hotel with exceptional service! The butler team provided lightning-fast responses, and the food was incredible with five different types of restaurants to choose from. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, and we even received an upgrade upon arrival. Special thanks to Maansi and Stefan – truly wonderful people who made the experience unforgettable!

The hotel itself is absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, with a large space and impressive colonial architecture. The only downside for me, as with all of Mauritius, is the abundance of coral on the beach, so water shoes are a must. Apart from that, everything was fantastic!

We were staying end of April 2023 with a 2-year toddler and my wife for 2 weeks. We got a room to sleep-in after the flight (we arrived before the check-in time), which was nice. After the check in we got a direct sea-view villa room, which was super close to the beach (~30 seconds walk from the terrace), which is convenient, as you don't need to pack / unpack. The beach is lovely, not crowded (1 row of beds). To my surprise the hotel is very kids-friendly, so we did not feel any discomfort / bad looks for the toddler behavior at the restaurant (also, you can easily get a baby sitter at a reasonable price at the kids club). The staff is super friendly and over-their-heads to help you and solve your request (special shout out to main restaurant staff and Manisha). Also, if you need anything - it's easy to message your butler by whatsapp. Overall hotel has a very nice, non-flashy design in a colonial style. Rooms are nice and spacious. Overall a lot of greenery, a huge pine forest just over the fence. Make sure you check our the library (a lovely place with glass roof) and play room (with ps5).

I would not say there's something we did not like, rather an areas of "even better if": - Restaurant food: average good, no "standing out" dishes (but I assume it's difficult to have any Michelin star level food in Mauritius) - Room furniture: some elements look nice, but are completely non-functional (e.g. a huge chest next to the bed). Looks nice, but I would be much happier with a standard bed cabinet with a usb socket. - Beach entrance: it's a bit rocky, but there's not much you can do about it, just bring some swimming shoes

the room was quiet and comfortable, and the butler service was impeccable! We enjoyed the wide selection of amenities on offer. What cannot be beat is the location - quiet, crystal clear beaches and fantastic sunsets! We would not hesitate to book here again, even at the price point because the service received was exceptional, warm and friendly. We came to relax and that was just what we left with!

Response to emergencies could have been better - my husband was stung by a fish of some sort, and the on site clinic was completely clueless. The doctor on call was only able to come after 1.5 hours - had this been a stone fish (which occur in reef areas), we would have suffered immeasurably. We were thoroughly disappointed in the fact that the hotel did not warn us, and although they helped to arrange transport etc that was all at our own cost (reasonable, but given our wait this could have been comp'd at the least!)

We loved everything. It's paradise, with very good services. I loved the people that work there, specially our butler Tej, who helped us with changes to our room's matress and others and was very present everyday. He's such a kind soul! Also the staff in the restaurants like Istika, who always had super good energy, although we were seeing her at work a lot, she never got tired. We also had fun with Vicky, our beach waiter, very friendly and at our service. Great people!

I booked through booking . com and I was expecting a business receipt, at least after booking would have settled, but the reception didn't seem to want to help very much. They said they will talk to finance, but nothing happened and didn't get any answer, although I made the booking (paid in full) in february and exchanged a lot of emails with them on this matter during 5-6 months. This was a bitter taste, but maybe it will get sorted out in the future.

We very much enjoyed our stay. From the beginning we were very well welcomed and the first impression was high. We were impressed by the beauty of the place and by the kindness of the staff. Everything was made to make us feel good, and at home. We traveled with our 11 months baby and all arrangements were made for him, which was very appreciated. The room was perfect, the view is paradise. We would like to express a special thank you to Aroumel, Neha, Juliana, Ravisen and Kunal. All the staff is nice but they are particularly nice and their level of service is clearly above anything we have seen across all our previous travels.

The butler service had no interest for us as he was quite unresponsive to our very few requests.
