Really clean and well-maintained. Basic kitchen just what somebody like me looking for a self-catering place would want. Just a two minute walk to the beach. Friendly staff!

I really can’t complain. It was exactly what was advertised.

La Perla lies very central in La Gaulette but it’s quiet and nice. In the morning you wake up with singing birds. There is a supermarket nearby and a small beach. Also an ATM around the corner. If you want to rent a car I can recommend Ara Tours, who are nearby as well. The apartment had everything I needed. I cooked a couple of times and there is a rack if you need to do Laundry. Donna is very friendly and responds quick. Cleaning ladies also lovely.

Some of the apartment balconies are connected and that means you have to cross someone else’s balcony to get to the stairs. Can be awkward, although I personally didn’t mind and the person next to me didn’t seem to care either.

Donna as a host was great, organised transfers for us and was always contactable. The apartment was nice (penthouse) and had everything we needed. Daveenah cleaned the apartment every 2-3 days and was very helpful too. The complex is down a driveway from the main Pereybere road so it does not have sea views but it is very quiet (which I think is more important). This is ultimately a self-catered apartment so access to a supermarket is an imperative; Winners is a short walk away and has everything you need. There are stalls like Chez Vanessa on the beach (opposite the complex entrance) serving mine and riz frite at a good price and plenty of other places to eat a walk away such as D'ernys, Mam Gouz, IJ's Grill, SANA and fast food available from Mississippi Fried Chicken. For amazing cakes try Oh My Cake! which is next to the apartments. In summary, if you are looking for somewhere a bit quieter than Grand Baie and want to have a base for excursions, somewhere to make breakfast/lunch, options to eat out but with clean towels, bedding etc. provided, La Perla is perfect. We'll be coming back.

Nothing really, it met our needs

I spent 4 nights in this accommodation and was really happy with it. As I travelled alone it was perfect from the size but it could also easily fit for a couple or friends. The bed was very comfortable, the aircon was working well and everything was clean and tidy. The people were very friendly and could help you if you had any questions. The bathroom is actually very spacious, modern and nice. You can walk from the apartment to the supermarket, to the restaurants or to the beach in a few minutes. When I drove there with Maps I found out that it's best to take the mainroad next to the beach and then drive to the guesthouse from that road :) Would recommend and stay here again.

Nice and tidy appartment on a very good location. The garden is beautiful, and has a relaxing atmosphere. The appartment had small kitchen with stove, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, which is all necessary for a vacation appartment. The staff was very hospitable and friendly

Beds are regular size, it might be an issue for a bigger person. There were ants in the appartment, not that the appartment is not regularly cleaned or maintained, i think it's just because of the nature. Wasn't an issue for us, might be for some, just a recommendation that food canot be left anywhere outside the fridge

Great location close to the beach! Nice little and modern flat with all the basics. We had private parking all the time which was a plus.

If you're in one of the flats above, be ready to carry the luggage up the stairs as there's not lift. It'd be nice to have washing machine. Although they offer to wash your clothes for a price.

Location excellent access to local supermarket, public transport and walking distance to Pereybere beach. Host always very informative and helpful and the maids were lovely, nothing was too much trouble always polite. The property was very clean and fresh with excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Could not fault anything. If I had to be critical the WiFi would drop off occasionally making it difficult to contact friends. But it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker.

The place is ideally located a stone’s throw from Pereybere beach and nice restaurants. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and of a good size and the bathroom was excellent with a roomy shower and good, strong hot water. We met Kiki who was very welcoming and helpful and kept the place very clean. Loved the balcony with a clothes horse provided for each room so we could easily dry our swimming things.

Clean, very practical with everything you needed to cook etc. very close to the beach and shops. Nice little veranda to sit outside and nice garden. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed.

Darker curtains/blinds would have been nice and maybe a smart tv as the only thing available on the for English speakers was bbc news

Comfortable room where you can find anything you need. The apartments are really close to the beach and the supermarket. The cleaning also was very nice. It was really quiet. The owner is very welcoming and was always ready to help. Thank you very much, staff of La Perla! We will surely come back here!
