1. The room was very spacious and overlooking the beautiful garden. 2. The tables in the garden to have breakfast or just to relax and chat. 3. Breakfast was very good: fruit, juice, eggs the style you want, chilaquiles (no chile and that is fantastic for children and for people like me who do not eat chile or very spicy food), beans, bread, coffee or tea. More than enough!!
The mattress in our room had some lumps, so it made it a little difficult to fall asleep and to fully rest.

We were offered a choice of three rooms, all were very spacious and beautifully furnished. Staff were beyond helpful, breakfast very good. We were allowed to hire the garden for our civil wedding, last minute as we had no plans on getting married there, but since we lost the previous booking, they allowed us to use the garden and provided us with chairs and tables. The service was above and beyond. Thank you so much! Looking forward to our next stay there in 3 weeks time.

I booked here because I was looking for a little peace & quiet after staying in busier parts of the city - and that is exactly what I got. I had a King room at the end of a hallway on the 2nd floor which overlooked a private garden. It was great to be able to sleep with the window open. The hotel is very "old world" and nicely decorated. They have a great business office with 4 working stations and a printer and lovely gardens with fountains. Interesting artwork throughout.
I had a minor plumbing issue that they attempted to fix but could not after working on it all day. The breakfast menu is not written and quite limited (just different preparations of eggs, I think). The food was OK but nothing special. I did not have any other meals at the restaurant, nor did I see anyone else doing so. It would be nice if they put a lunch/dinner menu on display for the guests. Not many restaurants within walking distance but many are just a short ride away in Chapelita.

A peaceful, relaxing place! Our King room was large and nicely furnished with real furniture - not the kind of cheap Ikea-ish stuff you see in a lot of hotels these days. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and we never lacked hot water. Our room was over a garden and we awoke each day to the sound of birds chattering in the trees. We took our breakfast each morning outside on a garden patio and enjoyed the peaceful sound of a fountain and more birds as we lingered over the complimentary breakfast. We stayed 5 nights and I really can't think of anything negative to say. The staff were friendly and tried to fulfill our requests. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Zapopan!
The TV remote was difficult to figure out (especially in the dark)

Francisco and Angel were exceptional! Very accommodating to anything we asked for. This place is unique and charming. It has an old Mexican traditional vibe. Love the style but some things can be updated.
The beds are too firm and not comfortable. The room had a wierd smell that would come and go. Not sure if it was from the plumbing or just the way the place is built. A few things need to be updated. The flooring was warping and the drapes looked very old and not clean.

Everything about this hotel is top notch, from the friendly staff, to the comfy accommodations of the room. It is central to many restaurants and shops. The perfect location.
It depends on the full occupancy of the hotel. Parking could be a little tight, but the hotel makes accommodations. The location of the hotel is in a safe neighborhood, so car thievery may be minimized.

Breakfast was good but we would have liked a variation, not the same everyday. More fruit, since Mexico has a good variety of fresh food.
The site has a picture of a small gym but non of the equipment were working besides, the weights were old and rusty. We expect to exercise after having as busy day but that wasn't possible.

I loved this place so much I'm writing a blog about it. It was amazing. These are hoteliers of the past, when they didn't leave one person at the front desk to manage a whole hotel at night. My room was huge and well appointed with REAL furniture, REAL ceramic lamps and a REAL bathtub - a bathtub had armrests! (I hadn't taken a bath in years. I swooned). I met friends in the "salon" until it got a little warm and the staff person suggested helpfully that we go to the garden, which was lovely. The breakfast was equally lovely, and I heard the table next to me talking about what a nice experience they were having there. I told my friends in Guadalajara that whenever I came to visit them, THIS is where they'd find me.
Nothing. They are a wonderful find.

The quaintness of the hotel. Breakfast included. Fernando our waiter was the absolute best ever. He deserves to be Masero of the Year
Our room was a little dark and I think not well ventilated felt stuffy

It was very clean and I loved the old world style. The staff was great especially Francisco. The food in the restaurant was limited but good. Not a lot of traffic noise.
The only issue was that the walls were very thin and I was kept awake by a snoring person in the next room one night and kids playing till around 1 am the next night.
