Stunning views and location cannot be beat. Spacious ! We stayed in the Sacristian room, beautiful balcony and another rooftop balcony for our private use. The New Years fireworks we had the best location to watch it all by ourselves with a bottle of wine. Breakfast included was the best bet. Cooked to order every morning and served till noon!! Only thing I noticed was our bed needs to be updated. Walked every day to the gulch and back, nice and quiet. Artisan shops and various flea markets to spend time. Will never forget this New Years Vacation.

We loved it all BUT If you don’t like noise from the restaurant on site LaCapella or church bells then you won’t like this.

This hotel is gorgeous. The décor could be too much, but it's not, it's just perfect and it felt authentic. The room was very private, spacious with a beautiful bath room, balcony with a beautiful view, great size bed, and all the amenities you might need. The pool area is not big, but is enough, the pool was the perfect temperature and we had a wonderful afternoon with drinks. The service is their strong suite. All the team (Noelia and Daniela from reception, Alfredo and all the servers from the bar and restaurant) were so welcoming and professional. Everything is very clean, and we had wonderful days here!

The only thing in our opinion wasn't great, was the food. We felt the breakfast was not even close to the quality of the hotel. It's very limited, fruit, pancake, eggs and bacon. It's heavy food for the weather and the exact same thing everyday. It was ok for one and maybe even 2 days, but on the third we were eating just the fruit and juice, sometimes a pancake. We could definitely improve their menu and give us a few more choices. The food was also not good on the dinner we had in their restaurant. Overall we felt it was not mexican food (or italian if you consider the restaurant cuisine) but just bad american.

This hotel was the best part of our trip! The details and design were incredible, it felt so comfortable and luxurious. The bed was comfy and the view was awesome. So many good restaurants within walking distant and lots to explore!

Many reviews talk about the bell, and that's the biggest downside. It's not on a timer, so people can quite literally ring it at any point of the day, for as long as they want. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but definitely something to think about ifyou're looking for a more quiet, relaxing stay.

This is a uniquely beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious with nice outdoor spaces and all with amazing views. The staff were helpful and quick to respond. Easy access to the town, restaurants, and the beach if you don't mind some hill climbs.

The only downside were the church bells, which rang every 15 minutes plus added bells that often seemed random. But with provided earplugs, they didn't interrupt our sleep.

Nothing! Just keep in mind it is on a hill, so walking anywhere will require an incline walk at some point.

We loved the hotel and it had a great charm to it. Location was near romantica district and easy to walk around. It’s also the hotel of one of the best restaurants in the city, La Capella. Our Uber drivers would sometimes know the hotel, but everyone always knew the restaurant. The staff was also really helpful and kind whenever we needed something. Would definitely stay again.

The water takes really long to heat up and we felt bad running it for 10 minutes before it was luke warm to shower. They warned us in the beginning but it’s just a lot of water waste. It also has an amazing view of the bell tower. The downside is that the bells ring all the time, more than once an hour. They provide ear plugs but it’s definitely a downside if you aren’t used to sleeping with ear plugs.

This is an awesome property. The rooms were great. Breakfast was superb. The location can't be more ideal. The facility was so beautiful that my wife wanted to extend the stay here. Great restaurants all around. Very walkable to the boardwalk. Felt very safe all through the say.

Only two minor thing. The first day the hot water at the shower did not come. The church bell in the night was a bit of a minor bother. But not a show stopper.

We absolutely loved this small, charming hotel, the staff and everything about it! The location is very central to everthing in old Puerto Vallarta so you can easily walk everywhere (although I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like hills). Our room had a private veranda overlooking the cathedral so we enjoyed watching the ringing of the bells! The rooms are large, well furnished and tastefully done. And, the breakfast was supurb!

BEST location in PV if you're looking to be near the Malecon (boardwalk) and view the bay next to the iconic bell tower of the towns church. Food was top tier and view of bay from their balcony was second to none (dinners had a violin trio) !!!

Door shutters would not stay closed - they are wooden and fall open.

The hotel, our room and the view were just perfect! Like living a fairytale experience Super spacious and atmospheric balcony to enjoy the sea and city views and the food. Hotel restaurant Italian food was the best I've tried so far in Mexico. The location is also good with lots of restaurants and beaches nearby, however the best beaches in PV are a bit far away so you need to walk or take taxi there
