The hotel is in fact even more beautiful than the pictures show. You wake up in the morning to the sound of birdsong, can revive your spirits under hot water in the rain shower and are then served an exquisite breakfast. The coffee from breakfast can of course be enjoyed in the beautiful inner courtyard or on the roof terrace, from where you have the best view over Queretaro and its churches. Afterwards, you only have to take one step out of the door to find yourself right in the heart of Queretaro's old town. I felt very comfortable and the staff are there for you around the clock.

This lovely hotel is in the centre of the Centro Historico and it is very easy to walk to all the beautiful squares which make this a Unesco World Heritage site. There is a very friendly bar opposite and we ate at a nearby restaurant Tikua (which was excellent) when we were not working. The hotel is comprised of a variety of different rooms, mainly I think suites effectively. We had a beautiful bedroom with a linked bathroom and upstairs a sitting room. This was around £100 per night. The rooms are around a leafy courtyard or a roof terrace. That roof terrace is lovely, with plants and trees. There is a bar but this was not open whilst we were there. I really loved that this is an ancient building lovingly restored by its architect owner. From a pre Spanish irrigation system to the enormous doors with Art Nouveau metalwork and restored painted walls. So beautiful and matched with modern (but in keeping) additions where necessary. I would be delighted to go there again. The breakfasts were great. We had fresh fruit, a small amount of yoghurt and Chilaquiles with green salsa and eggs. Excellent. The staff were very very helpful indeed. The cook wrote out her recipe for green salsa, which was lovely!
Nothing.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Tall ceilings with ample space. There is a wine store with Queretaro wines across the street so could enjoy a glass of wine outside our door on comfortable seating beside the water fountains. Very comfortable bed. The attached restaurant El Encuentro was exceptional.
Considering the header of this property read “and Spa” the spa was underwhelming. Spa personnel was very good but for a facial, they had no equipment a high end spa would have. Front desk staff accepted my Spa reservation at 8:00 am that morning for a 2:00 pm treatment and then asked for a credit card as the spa is a separate business. I paid without issue then later received a phone call from a gentleman at the front desk asking if I could change the time. I could not, and was advised appointments need to be made the day prior. I would have done so but on the spa menu, I found no mention of such. In the end, they kept my appointed time. Showers were lukewarm at best. Wifi not working despite checking with front desk. Lobby music was quite loud after10:00 pm

Our stay was amazing! The staff, especially Cynthia and Adolfo, were so helpful with questions and great restaurant recommendations! They also arranged airport pickup and a private tour with Paco, who was on-time, great car and full of information…highly recommend him! The facilities are great, and we loved the rooftop terrace to enjoy a glass of wine. Rooms are large, and beds are very comfortable. Everything was clean and we always felt safe at the hotel and walking around the center to and from the hotel. The location cannot be beat! We would definitely stay here again!
Nothing…everything was great!

The room was beautiful and so was the hotel! The staff was amazing! The breakfast was simple, but delicious and prepared with love. The location was very walkable to the centro and many great restaurants.
We missed having an on site restaurant/bar. We felt like the price was just a bit high since it was lacking amenities of many hotels, but we were extremely pleased with the staff, room and hotel otherwise and would return again.

Casona was a beautifully restored historical home with an eclectic flare. Very clean room that was nicely appointed. The in-room jacuzzi was a plus. The roof top deck had a lot of plants and seating. It would be a great space for a medium sized party or business social gathering. In my case morning coffee and reading. The staff were wonderful although not all english speaking. But that was not a detractor at all.
I do not have any negative feedback. The hotel met our expectations and then some.

Being this a boutique hotel with only suites it was a pleasure to be a guest in this hotel. You get to know all the staff and the suites are just beautiful for more details watch my Youtube Hotel Review : https://youtu.be/4bwh0Ti-kYw
The bar being closed and the too modest breakfast.

Big 17th century renovated hotel that's fun to explore -- it's like a museum -- check out the rooftop area. I got a room for $200/night that would cost at least $800/night in Mexico City. It had a clean (two person) sauna, a 6 person hot tub, hot water readily available, water pressure perfect. Oh, and it had two bathrooms, two levels, it was way too much space but I enjoyed fantasizing about how I'd turn it into my fantasy loft apartment, perfect size for that. I had a street facing room on ground floor, so it may be loud for some people until midnight, when everyone goes to sleep. (I'm a city person, I'm used to city noises). Great location, within 10 walk from most museums in centro area. Queretaro is underrated, despite being a UNESCO World Heritage site: clean, well manicured, safe, festive (everyday of the week), cheaper than Mexico City (which has gotten expensive). Favorite part was that I rarely heard English and didn't see many Americans, whereas certain parts of Mexico are packed with Americans. My Spanish improved because I was forced to practice. In any case, I'll be back, will skip Mexico City next time. This hotel will be even better once they recover from Pandemic and start up their restaurant again.

Beautiful building, decoration, and architecture. The included parking is a good perk. Peaceful. Great location. The staff is kind and helpful.
Lack of amenities. No room service. Same breakfast every day. Dark rooms. The price is high VS what you get.
