I stayed in the room Nr.8 with Kingsize bed which had a very beautiful painting on the wall and a balcony with perfect view on the laguna. The hotel is located in a central location to go to restaurants or the central place from Rio Largatos, but still directly at the laguna. In the breakfast-room there are several bird guide books in English and Spanish as the owner is a hobby birdwatcher too. She took me on a tour inland and indicated me several places (cemetery, calle 23 or 25...) for birdwatching to be reached by foot where I shot excellent fotos. Flamingos from 5 meters distance.... At first I took a cheap bird watching boat tour through the lagune but the guide knew very little about birds, but then I booked a second boat tour via the hotel with a certified guide, Paco. More costly - but worth the additional money as the guide indicated many birds I would not have seen without him, even an Pygmy Owl and Green Heron (among 7 other Heron species) and would stop the boat to have time to observe them. As the hotel was just perfect for me, I prolonged my stay to 11 days. Beds had good matraces and rooms were clean. Personel was very friendly.

The location (we had sea view) we could sit all day watching the fisherman and admiring the sea! The staff and in particular Yoel were excellent. Good breakfast (with eggs 👍) which set us up for the day. Yoel arranged cabs to the bus for us and allowed us to use the fridge for milk and provided a kettle in the room.

‘Dislike’ is too strong a word as we loved our stay - but one of the things that could be improved on is the wifi quality which is very sporadic and we had to pay extra to top up our SIM for 4G to get cover. The aircon wasn’t that powerful and on the last night we stayed seemed to deteriorate further. We did miss having a pool (our fault as we booked knowing there wasn’t one) but we used the pool at the Rio Lagardos hotel up the road and paid £12 each for a day pool pass.

The hotel is nice, a bit dated but extremly clean.

Breakfast is extremly limited - eggs, one slice of bread, 3 slices of some fruit and a cup of coffee. The bread was coted is some kind of spices - so I skipped it. They tried to offer us tours - but please be aware that their tours are twice as expensive as the competitors that are just outside of the hotel - also skip the tour via the hotel and save some money by booking it directly :).

The view is incredible! We woke up each day with the laguna, the fisherman and an amazing sunrise! The other good surprise is PACO (the guide) and his flamingo tour! We loved it! Paco is passionate about his work and we could tell. He took time to explain everything to us and he was very flexible. We saw flamingos, crocodiles, plenty of marvelous birds and even the pink lakes. Our best tour in Mexico!!

A bit noisy at night when people are talking right in front of the hotel (happens one time, tbh)

The hotel overlooks the water and is an ideal spot for tours of the amazing wildlife. The hotel recommended an excellent guide who tied his boat up outside and came to collect us for a 4 hour experience of a lifetime. The rooms were amazing with balconies overlooking the water too. Breakfast was fruit and scrambled eggs. All the staff were very helpful and responsive.

Great location overlooking the water (at least some rooms). Only a few reserved parking spaces but I had no issue with street parking. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Noise was not bad despite being right on the street. Town is so small that you can easily walk to the good restaurants and sights. There are some cute cats that roam the property.

The front desk people were cordial, not overly friendly, though this did not particularly bother me. Breakfast, as others have mentioned, is not great, but it was fine. There was a step-up in the bathroom that I kept tripping on, so watch out for that. There's an in-house guide for boat tours and I was able to join on with another group for the next morning, which was good. He told me other tour guides would give sub-par tours but I think he was just saying this and I suspect the other tour guides are probably equivalent.

OMG the room was huge and the balcony looked right over the estuary. Amazing bird (and people) watching from our balcony. Location couldn't be better and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was newly remodeled and very nice--great shower. The staff were friendly and had a lot of helpful suggestions.

Breakfast was basic--fruit, bread and coffee. But the food was fresh. The room was so large, it was hard to cool with the A\C. Nonetheless, the evening breeze cooled things down, but there was a fair amount of street noise.

Lovely view and good central location! The staff were great and helped us organise an amazing boat trip with Paco, which was brilliant. The breakfast was good but a little light and a bit slow (some fruit bread and yoghurt) but this place is great for a short stay!

The breakfast was a bit light and a bit slow. More choice and slightly more in terms of quantity would be good. No access to the roof terrace while we were there, but we watched the sunset from the promenade just in front which was equally nice.
