From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. After a long journey, we were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels, and even picked up directly from the bus station—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Milan, the concierge, truly went above and beyond. He was the most attentive and caring concierge we’ve ever met, providing invaluable information before, during, and even after our stay. He took care of everything, from arranging free transport to the bus station and visits to the elephant breeding centers, to organizing our onward travel and bus tickets. His dedication to ensuring our experience was seamless and stress-free was truly remarkable. The hotel’s own safari guide, Raj, was another highlight. His passion for wildlife was evident, and his knowledge made our safari experience unforgettable. The team made sure to carefully walk us through all the tour options, helping us choose the best ones suited to our interests. Special thanks to the wonderful waitstaff, Robyn and Kabita, who went out of their way to suggest delicious local dishes and served the best coffee. Their warm service and attention to detail made every meal a delight. This hotel delivers on every front, from outstanding service to thoughtful recommendations. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about its guests, this is it!

The best hotel in town. Super-friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, modern spotless rooms with quality bathrooms and good AC, and just a 10 minute walk to the main street. Very good and varied breakfast available from 6am (ideal for those early morning safari outings) and evening meals were probably the best in all of Nepal. And even after we left, when our flight back to Kathmandu got unexpectedly cancelled, a quick WhatsApp message to the front desk and they arranged us a car transfer in minutes, incredible service!

This is a luxury hotel at an affordable price. The decor and fixtures and fittings are stylish and modern. The shower was the best! All staff were all so friendly and helpful. We were looked after so well. Milan at the front desk made sure our holiday went smoothly and was very attentive to all our needs. The breakfast was delicious with excellent coffees. We also ate dinner and lunch here and all the food we ate was delicious and reasonably priced too. We did 3 excellent trips with Raj our very knowledgeable safari guide - a walking safari, a canoe trip and a jeep safari. Due to Raj’s knowledge and patience we got to see a wild rhino up close! All the staff made us feel like family and nothing was too much trouble. We were sad to leave. Milan arranged private transport for us to Bhaktapur and it’s a long drive but the driver was very professional and safe. Highly recommend everything about this hotel! It was even an easy 10 min walk to Main St and the sunset viewing platform in town.

We stayed for 2 nights as a couple. Hotel Aikawa is one of the best hotels we have stayed in terms of hospitality and food. Their Manager Milan, and other hotel staff very extremely polite, helpful and efficient in their work. Food is undoubtedly a delight here. You can try many cuisine but their indian and japanese snacks item very perhaps perfect. Safari point where the inner forest safari starts is at a walking distance from the hotel. Pick and drop facility along with any activities required is all well managed by the hotel staff. Milan was extremely helpful to us in booking our activities and was a hassle free experience. Their garden is also nice to have a stroll down the park. I would recommend poeple not to think even twice for booking this hotel in Sauraha.

We had a wonderful stay in the Aikawa Hotel! All the people of the staff are very friendly and treated us very well. We loved the service all the time (bus terminal pickup, tour organisation, food, help with questions). We also did two tours with the friendly guide Raj. He gave us a lot of informations about the Chitwan Nationalpark and did a very good job by spooting animals in the wild. We saw a lot of Rhinos, deers, birds, crocodiles. We can recommend to book the tours in directly in the hotel! The breakfast and the food in the lunch and dinnertime was delishes. Best food on our Nepal stay so far. For all the guests in future: Stay in this hotel to make your stay unforgettable. We will come back!

We liked everything, it was definitely the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Nepal! All the staff are extremely kind and always willing to help. They picked us up from the bus station, greeted us with a welcome drink and helped us book our bus back to Kathmandu. A special mention goes to Milan who was a exceptional, always very friendly and attentive and he made sure we didn’t need to worry about anything, thank you :) The area is very quiet and relaxing, with a nice view on the mustard field and a few minutes walk to the center. They also have a super nice pool and a beautiful garden where you can sit and enjoy the sun.

What a gem this hotel is, it has to be the best hotel in Sauraha by far. The hotel is new and modern and comes with so many extras compared to other hotels in the area. The owner went out of this way to make everything as enjoyable as possible. We were upgraded to a suite that had a fantastic layout and was just beautiful with a huge bath tub plus a rain shower as well. The pool on level 1 is fantastic, clean and so inviting and they will bring towels and drinking water to the pool. The garden is brand new and even offers table tennis, basketball and a bar with a lounge area. The best asset though is the staff, they are all so friendly and make you so welcome. Especially MIlan went out of his way to make our stay very special. Tours can also be booked here at short notice. The food in the restaurant is very good, too, I had sushi there which was excellent. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it made our stay in Sauraha so special.

Thanks to Aikawa, I spent a very memorable two days and two nights in Chitwan. Milan made a very pleasant itinerary for us（Expensive but worth it）, helped us book flights, and took us to visit Tarau village. The jungle guide Rajendra was a sharp eye, good at spotting wild animals and various birds like radar. It was super fun to meet jackals, elephants, and rhinos. The young driver Subas drove steadily, was polite and very friendly. All the staff in the hotel were very warm and thoughtful, and the food was beyond expectations. Thumbs up to the chef! I like Aikawa very much！

The toilet flush in the room I stayed in was not very strong and needed time to wait for the water to fill up.

From start to finish, they were absolute professionals. Nothing was too much trouble, and they paid close attention to detail during our stay. Complimentary transportation on arrival and departure to the bus station was also provided, in addition to a cultural event we attended in town. On all occasions, the offer made was not requested. They organised all the tickets, a Chitwan National Park jeep, and walking safaris at competitive prices. We received two room upgrades during our seven-day stay. The quality of the buffet breakfast and the luxury of sitting outside with the rice fields as your vista is quite delightful. They have created a lovely ambience for a new build within its setting. They are still working on finishing the external garden area and gym, and this work in progress did not create any excessive noise. The location is very authentically charming. For example, an elephant is parked just down the road, and local children are playing in the rice fields. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the bedding is well set up with entertainment, TV and internet, both fast and numerous powerpoints. Bathrooms smell and look clean, and hot water is plentiful. A spa bath in the suite is excellent kindness therapy for your body after a long walk in the jungle. Entrance to rooms via keycards can have multiple if required. If you have any concerns, please engage with the staff. They will do their best to remedy any quickly and to your satisfaction.

Upon examining this property from top to bottom, nothing stands out that is not being dealt with and deserves to be mentioned as a dislike.

A touch of affordable luxury in Chitwan, which was much appreciated after our 2-week trek. Food was excellent and reasonably priced; amazing breakfast spread and I had the best masala tea of my Nepali trip. Restaurant staff was super friendly and helpful. Generous refills of drinking water available without single use plastic bottles. We also really enjoyed our Ayurvedic massages in the spa.

Minor nitpick - sometimes great hospitality is recognising when to give your guests a bit of space... We had some awkward hovering and persistent offers when we just wanted to rest.
