The hotel is next to the clocktower and it's absolutely delightful, the tower chimes every 15 minutes but it does stop overnight. Despite being so close to the tower the noise isn't overwhelming so you just get to enjoy it. The facilities are kept very clean, and the cleaners come daily to tidy the rooms. We chose a suite room so we got our own toilet and shower, so I can't speak about the shared facilities. There was also a very convenient sink within the main bedroom so we could easily clean up before bed without having to go downstairs to the bathroom. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies. The suite can sleep up to 4 people as there is also a sofa bed. Plus within the room you have a nice sized breakfast bar that is under a skylight (ours actually looked out to the clocktower). The other window in the main room is a cute little bay/nook window that looked out onto the main square. Despite this it was actually very quiet. The downstairs area is really just the bathroom and a coat rack, plus a small amount of space under the stairs where you could easily put your suitcase. There's another window here that looks out into the pub garden, but again despite this it was fairly quiet. The daily breakfast was a nice little selection of fresh bread, meats, cheese, plus some overnight oats, yoghurt (with a range of toppings) and pastries. My partner said that the croissants were probably the best he had ever had. We did also get dinner from the pub one night and it was fantastic with generous portions. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely come back again

My only complaints would be: - The downstairs blind is missing the string so we had to open and close it by hand - The skylight blind and window is difficult to reach to open/close - The downstairs sink only has cold water and is quite small - Some other guests were constantly letting their doors slam shut, which wasn't an issue in the daytime but did wake me up once or twice Honestly these were very minor things and nothing we really felt any need to actually complain to the hotel about. Just some things that could probably be considered.

Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome in beautiful Amersfoort! - great location, pub below, other restaurants nearby and a stone’s throw from the high street. The church tower is of course next door and the tourist information centre too - lovely room: small but decent enough to store bags and not feel squashed - nice to have a little table in there on wheels as well as a sink - nice and clean and a very comfortable bed! We had great night’s sleep both nights we were there - option to have breakfast in the nice pub below

- had to wait for a shower as there was only 1 on the first floor. Luckily it wasn’t very busy though so didn’t have to wait too long

Superior breakfast with flaky croissants, crispy fresh baked buns, fresh loaf cake ,fruit, yogurt, your choice of coffee, fresh squeezed OJ. When they ran out of buns, the staff baked more, even though there were still several croissants left. A welcome drink at the bar when you arrive. We took the suite on the top floor which was enormous. The restaurant had lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They were right at the heart of the old town, by the tourist information centre.

If you choose the suite be aware that there are many steps from the bathroom to the bedroom.

Trains were cancelled to ended up needing a place to stay the night in amersfoort, The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, giving us directions and everything and even lent us phone chargers. great staff, was given a free drink too!!

there was no bathroom inside our room, there is a shared toilet and shower for the floor. wasn’t an issue as we didn’t have to wait for anyone, but i can imagine it may get difficult when one floor is all sharing the same bathroom

The location was super central and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was small and cozy; had all things necessary and the bed was super comfy. So all in all a great stay and I'd recommend it to any single traveler.

I was a bit surprised that the room had a shared toilet in the hallway. It was really clean and no problem. I'm sure it's mentioned in the description and I just probably didn't read it thoroughly enough.

It is a perfect location to visit the city. Breakfast was very nice and the staff consisted of very friendly young people. Good that it was walking distance from both station and my conference place.

The terrasse in the backyard was very cosy and full of people. It was very nice but also a bit noisy. I got over it quite quickly and fell asleep because I was very tired, but if you are a light sleeper, maybe this could be hard.

the apartment was right in the city center, it was very spacious and had everything you needed. although there was no parking onsite it was only a short walk to the nearest Q-Park.

the stairs up to the apartment were steep and narrow which made it difficult to get the luggage up to the room, but this wasn't a major issue for me, but could be for some guests

Excellent welcome, very kind and helpful staff (by a "deputy" on 7th Oct.)! Great location, in the center of the old town. Simple, but clean and comfortable room.

Nothing major, just a small suggestion: try to invest a bit more into maintenance. Tiny things can make a big difference. For example: wobbly chair footrest (bec. of missing screws), broken plug socket.

Clean and comfortable hotel perfectly located in the centre and well connected through bus to surrounding areas too. Supermarket, bars and shops are practically one minute walk. Nice breakfast in nice environment. Friendly and helpful staff.

perhaps a long mirror attached to the door might be useful for make up and final look outfit check

Location was really excellent in the old town centre, room clean, spacious and well equipped. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine in a very nice environment, with good music.

Nothing major at all. The stairs were steep so wouldn't be ideal for everyone but for anyone capable of climbing a few stairs not a problem.
