We had an unintentional night stop in Amsterdam due to weather/snow closure at Schipol airport. Even though it was very late around 23.30 when we booked the Melrose hotel, it wasn't a problem as they're open 24/7. On arrival at the hotel, the friendly manager quickly sorted out the rooms for us. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very quiet. We had a good nights sleep, ready for our onward travel the next morning.

Nothing. It was only for a few hours stay.

The location was perfect, so handy to walk to all the main attractions but also only a short distance from the game am stops too! It was very clean and the staff were really friendly!

Nothing that I really disliked but the generator did seem to make some peculiar noises at night which wasn’t ideal if you’re a light sleeper!

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Dam Square, with a pleasant route passing by numerous shops and eateries along the way.

The hotel is quite basic, and the room was somewhat cold as the heating system didn’t function properly.

Excellent location to the Nine Streets area for shopping, restaurants, cafes, bars. More of a local feel to it with local cafes, bars and supermarkets. Quite rooms, ours was below street level with window backing onto laneway at street level. Tram stops within less than 5 minutes walk. Express bus from airport is at the end of the street,.

So central,15 mins walk or less to most attractions. Rooms are small but all you need really and clean ,modern and freshly decorated. Rooms cleaned each day and fresh towels. Shower gel and hand soap provided, as well as coffee / tea making facilities . Hot drinks machine at reception. We met the nicest people on reception . Thankyou Mustapha,Chevy and another lovely man whose name I cannot remember They were so friendly and happy to help and helped us lots when passports were left behind on last day .

Not much really. If anything ,it would have been nice to be able to open the windows for some fresh air. They are designed not to open but the air conditioning worked very well so we were comfortable

Location was perfect, lots of amenities & easy to get around by foot and tram. Staff were friendly and helpful. Despite not having open windows, room and bathroom had no mould and was clean which is a big plus.

The bathroom could do with more privacy screen, able to partially see through shower. Not a major problem if you’re with couple or close friends but just to bear in mind you can see from bedroom.

Everything, was an absolutely perfect stay and the staff were incredible. Could not recommend it any higher

Being picky would have been nice if there were 2 mugs in the room

Very clean property in a great location. Close to restaurants, shops, bars and lots of tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and being able to keep our luggage in a locked room at the hotel before and after check in was a huge plus.

Bathroom walls were a bit see through which wasn’t great for traveling with family

We upgraded to a city view room and got a room on the 4th floor facing the street (photo us the view from our room). It was wonderful and spacious,

Small annoying nickel-and-diming things, otherwise excellent: - Coffee in the lobby should be free to guests - We arrived 3 hours before check in due to the airline changing our flight. Our room was ready but we had to pay €20 euros extra to occupy it. Should have been free since we were staying 3 nights. - Maid service did not replenish coffee kit in room. Libby only had coffee packets. We had to buy our own milk. - Sink is in outer room but there is no place to hang hand towels - No closet. Just an open shelf with 4 hangers

Staff was courteous and helpful providing information, great location within walking distances of the places we wanted to visit and good restaurants nearby
